Hotels in Kandy Lake Front, Kandy

The room was quite spacious. There were three of us, and they provided an extra bed. When I booked on Trip.com, I saw that the beds were listed as 1.3 meters, but they all turned out to be quite large – the double beds were mostly 1.8 meters, and the single beds were about 1 meter. This hotel is located on a hill, and we stayed on the second floor, which didn't have an elevator, but the staff helped with our luggage. Breakfast is available at the hotel. The staff confirmed our breakfast time the night before, and we could choose between local Sri Lankan breakfast and English breakfast. One of the local dishes was extremely spicy; I took one bite and started coughing non-stop. A young man saw this and immediately brought me a glass of water – the service was absolutely fantastic. The milk tea was delicious, sweet with a slight bitterness, a bit like Hong Kong's Yuanyang. Very good!

We had an amazing stay. The house is located at the very top of the hill, so we had the best view from our room. We would also like to thank the lady and Mr. Dinesh, our driver, from the bottom of our hearts, for their help and kindness. He even gave us a gift on our departure🥹 we can’t wait to visit Kandy again!

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. It's also a historic hotel in Kandy, so it seems like a popular spot for Sri Lankans to take wedding photos, which I think makes for a good experience. It also appears to be a chosen accommodation for group tours organized by Japanese travel agencies. The breakfast offered a truly wide variety, and there was even a live kitchen where they made hoppers right in front of you. However, the hotel facilities seem quite old. In the room I stayed in, the button to switch from the faucet to the shower was partially broken, so no hot water came out of the shower. I probably could have asked the front desk to fix it, but since I was traveling alone and had already taken off my clothes, I found it too troublesome to deal with and just made do using a water bottle.

This was a really great hotel – excellent location and service. The views of Kandy Lake and the Temple of the Tooth Relic from our room were amazing! The restaurant served delicious food, and breakfast had generous portions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The service was excellent; they were very attentive and quickly noticed our requests. Thank you for being so kind and friendly to my daughter.

Everything is good, the hosts are attentive and responsive, the location is good, the kinds are chic, breakfast is not bad, the room is also in good condition, for a couple of days the most, I recommend 👍

Highly recommended if you are staying at Kandy. They have this rooftop pool with great view, you can oversee the entire city from there. Staff are super helpful, room was clean and comfortable as well.

The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, with convenient transportation. The rooms are relatively large and clean. I went to the hotel expecting three meals to be included, but ended up not having any meals. Although I refunded 11💲, the experience was not good. It can only be said that it is at the domestic economic business level and is not recommended.

Honestly, it's a pretty standard hotel, but I really liked it because it was comfortable. The hotel was clean, and the balcony overlooked Kandy Lake, offering picturesque views. The rooftop bar had a great promotion on beer, which was a nice bonus! The hotel's location is super convenient, close to everything. Plus, while there aren't many elegant and pleasant neighborhoods in Sri Lanka, this one definitely is!

A hotel with a magnificent view. It is really hard to find such a view. Especially the view from the top bar floor is extraordinary. The rooms could be cleaned more meticulously. It is not dirty but it could be cleaned more meticulously. The breakfast was average, the dinner menu was not very extensive, at least in the bar section. The welcome in the lobby was respectful and smiling. We were offered hot towels and fruit juice as soon as we arrived. The hotel is on the slope of a hill but I think the lack of a link bus service to the city center is a shortcoming.

Хозяин очень приветливый, я приехал в начале седьмого утра, но заселил без вопросов, огромное спасибо. Надо учитывать, что дом на холме, из-за этого нет шума с улиц. До центра 10 минут неспешным шагом, но обратно придется ехать на тук-туке. Но это того стоит. Единственный минус - в комнате очень слабый сигнал wi-fi, но у меня был мобильный интернет, поэтому для меня это было непринципиальным. В номере всё есть, чисто, без вопросов.
