I requested a pick-up service to the accommodation on Trgp.com, but it never came. It seems that communication with the accommodation was not going well.
I think the accommodation itself is very good in that jungle.
Meeting animals is down to luck.

We had a great experience at the BNSBR. The first thing I have to mention is our boat guide, Rodel. He was absolutely amazing! He was determined for us to see Pygmy elephants. He took us miles down the river in order to find them. When he did find them, it was wonderful! There were about 6 elephants of different ages. So serene. It was a real privilege to see these wonderful animals. Rodel also had fantastic and extensive knowledge of the wildlife and jungle. We spotted 4 of the Bornean big 5, everything but orangutans but we have seen many of them in the wild in Sumatra. With regards to the accommodation… it is basic and the rooms are quite small. We had a deluxe triple and it was in a building with two other family rooms. You could hear everything from the other rooms, the walls are very thin layer of wood. So bring ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones. In my opinion, the food was plentiful and delicious. There was a good variety, no one is going hungry in Borneo Natural Sukau Billit. There is WiFi, which surprised us but you have to pay a small fee per device. As I said, the accommodation is basic but when you think about the cost (approx £120 per person for 3D2N), it’s very reasonable. Within that, you have breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, 6 river cruises, jungle trek, transfers to and from airport/Sepilok area. So you can’t really complain. If you want a more luxurious option, then you have to pay the price.

We booked the 3D2N Jungle tour and had the best experience. The dorm room was great and facilities were clean and well maintained. The staff were super friendly and the food was amazing (I am vegetarian and was really impressed by the variety on offer!). We were lucky enough to spot all of the Borneo big 5- a big shout out to our guide Rodel who helped make this happen. Rodel’s knowledge and passion for nature is truly inspiring! 10/10 would recommend!

We booked a 3D2N jungle safari and stayed at BORNEO NATURAL SUKAU BILIT RESORT. Would not recommend this place. Hidden extra costs in hire of boots and guides that are not very informative and seem disinterested. We booked a deluxe family room. Rooms were really dirty with thick layers of mud on our bedroom floor and a really bad smell in our toilet. Meals were horrible and tea/coffee was boiled for 20+ minutes - but had that been the only issue we would have been happy. We were crammed into a big boat with 23 other guests. The engine was loud and smelled terrible. Enough to frighten all wildlife away. Strongly suggest better training of guides in spotting and detailing wildlife. Also hoping that the future of this river as an important life source and habitat is more environmentally sound. With collection of rubbish and plastic. Regulation about quality of motors on boats potentially including E-motor solutions that would reduce air and noise pollution.

Hi bad experience to stay here. The floor is moldy and the mosquito net is dusty. My friends got the wrong type of rooms which they had paid for delux and got triple which they don’t prefer. The cruise was good however the life guard clothes are stinky and spoilt. No one work on it or clean it. This is 1 star resort.

We loved our stay here. We booked the 3D2N package for four adults and thought it was amazing value, with good accommodation, tasty meals, transfers from Sandakan and wildlife activities included. Ryan was such a fun and knowledgeable guide for our boat trips and nature walk, we saw many different animals and really enjoyed each trip.

I visited last year and liked it so much that I came again the following year. Both times I managed to see the Bornean Big 5 on the river cruises. The night walks proved to be great as well including sightings of the slow loris and tarsier. The food was great, especially the pepper rice and dough balls. The room was spacious and fit the vibe of the rainforest, even including a live plant in the room. Would be great if there were more options of wine or alcohol during dinner or afternoon downtime, but besides that I will visit again next year!
