My definition of luxury, this brand new hotel strikes the perfect balance of elegance and simplicity as art deco style. Bath Rooms are tastefully decorated with all the high quality amenities. You'd come to expect from a 5+ star hotel including automatic black out curtains and one touch lighting control. The restaurant/breakfast area was outstanding. The breakfast was one of the best I experienced with a selection not found in any other 5 star hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful. From the moment we booked the room we were greeted with the most friendly staff. Emily and Wan (in the Front desk/Concierge ) gave us a smooth check in, and provided us with a great dining guide that we wanted to explore. They are exceptional! I would highly recommend and will definitely go back for these stellar services and amenities.

Hotel design is aesthetically pleasing, warm and inviting for us especially after a day of transit from Shangri-la. The staff are friendly and one of the managers was quick to explain the design principles behind the foyer entrance. There is not much English signage for most meals including buffet breakfast so foreign guests might require some extra assistance. Our experience at the Chinese restaurant was amazing too! The Peking Duck was one of the best, and its really heartwarming to see one of the male staff patiently explaining the menu to an elderly gentleman that was dining alone. It provided a dimension of depth and warmth that left a lasting impression for us :)

I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel over the first week of September 2024 and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was captivated by the hotel’s stunning aesthetic design. The blend of modern elegance with unique architecture created an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and welcoming. The hotel is conveniently located next to a luxury mall with a supermarket in the basement where you can buy international groceries, pastries and fruits. Guests may also venture to other malls around the area or a night flea market that opens late into the night. Buffet breakfast featured an extensive selection that included pastries, fresh fruits, pancakes, eggs cooked to order, and an array of dishes like congee with Yunnan spices. Food was good for a buffet spread, with staff ensuring that the buffet was well-replenished and clean. What truly sets the hotel apart is its service. From the moment I arrived, staff was warm and attentive, ensuring that my every need was met. The front desk team was knowledgeable and eager to help. It was evident that the staff genuinely cared about creating a memorable experience for their guests. Special mentions to Mila, who helped to facilitate the courier of my daughter's medicine, which I left behind at the hotel. Mila went out of the way to made sure that the medicine reached us on time. She kept us updated throughout the process. Communication was prompt and reassuring, which alleviated our worries. Overall, I want to thank the hotel staff for making my stay a memorable one and I look forward to my return in future.

Echo was excellent

The hotel opened on the 6th and checked in on the 7th. The furnishings are in the style we like, with a sense of design in both the public areas and the guest rooms. The facilities are complete, and the service team is young, enthusiastic and thoughtful. The breakfast ingredients are fresh and high-quality, with a rich variety, and there are croissants baked on site. It is the best breakfast I have experienced in recent years. Two days is too short, and I didn't have time to experience the hotel's restaurant. I don't have to worry about which hotel to choose when I come to Kunming in the future.

I chose a newly opened hotel in 2014, with Plaza 66 behind it. The decoration and design are very beautiful, almost the same as the Anda Hotel. The staff are also very enthusiastic and the service is first-rate!! My sister's birthday is on the same day as the motherland, and they also sent a cake and the hotel's mascot, which the children like very much!!

Facilities: This is a new hotel opened in Kunming this year. Needless to say, the facilities are definitely the newest and best. Hygiene: Very clean and comfortable Environment: It is located next to Henglong. The third floor is directly connected to Henglong. It is very close and convenient to Henglong. You don’t have to get wet in the rain or go around. You can go back to the hotel directly when you are hungry and tired. Service: The service attitude of the staff is really great! ! ! I want to give 200% satisfaction. The lady who contacted me is called Emily. My son and I like her very much. She is very patient, careful and enthusiastic. She provided me with tips and local weather forecast before leaving Kunming. I hope the hotel can cultivate more such excellent employees (not only Emily, the service attitude of other hotel employees is very good and enthusiastic!! I highly recommend Grand Hyatt Kunming!!) I will continue to stay in Kunming next time I come to Kunming Enjoy 300 yuan dining consumption during the stay (applicable to all operating restaurants in the hotel): This is really a super invincible discount. The restaurants and bars in the hotel are very good. I have experienced both the Altitude Bar and the Diezhu Izakaya. It’s really good! The staff are very good and enthusiastic!

Of course, we have to mention the professional attitude of the concierge and the front desk, which makes people feel at home. Although some facilities (such as the swimming pool) are not open yet, the hotel makes up for it through measures such as free mini bar and room upgrades. The overall stay experience is very satisfactory and worth staying again.

A newly opened hotel in Kunming, I like the decoration style and details very much, and it is convenient to go anywhere. The hotel service staff is very warm and considerate. The housekeeper Bianca contacted me in advance, asked about my preferences, and sent me various tips. It was very considerate. On the day of check-in, there was a Kunming Marathon, and Bianca sent me the route in advance, so I could easily avoid it. During the stay, I was cared and greeted throughout the whole process, and the experience was really good. There was also a lady named Shi at the front desk who was also very good (sorry for forgetting her English name), and I could feel that their smiles were from the heart. To be honest, it is much better than the service of several Grand Hyatt hotels in other cities where I have stayed. In addition, the hotel has good sound insulation, which is very good for people with sleep disorders like me. I will choose Grand Hyatt again when I come to Kunming next time. The breakfast is also good, which is exquisite and delicious. I feel that the catering department should have listened to the guests' suggestions and made improvements quickly. The speed of leading the seat and serving coffee is very fast. In addition, the local rice noodles, crispy beef noodles, and bait blocks are all delicious. Since the swimming pool is not open yet, the minibar is free on the first day of check-in, and the content is very rich, which is much better than the InterContinental I stayed in later. By the way, the guys in the concierge department have very good eyesight. They never open the car door themselves when taking a taxi. Every time they walk to the door, they will greet you with a smile. It’s really nice!

The hotel has a sense of design and its own personality. It is not the same old space effect. There are many small details that surprise people. The sound insulation is very good. You can't hear the sound from the next door and the corridor. It is in sharp contrast with the InterContinental Hotel I just stayed in. The elevator is fast and stable, and the button is inductive. The shower water flow is very large and comfortable. Although there is still some smell when you just enter the room, you can't smell it if you keep the fresh air on. The breakfast is delicious, the afternoon tea is also great, the sugar in the dessert can be less, and the Chinese restaurant is also delicious. I ordered a seafood pasta for the child in the room. I still miss it after returning to Beijing. It's a pity that the swimming pool has not opened yet. The overall stay is still very happy. I can feel the efforts of all the staff. Although the service words are occasionally stiff, you can feel the kindness. No matter what, you can get help at any time. You can see the smiles of the service staff wherever you go. Grand Hyatt opened in August. The hotel manager was very considerate to communicate the arrival time, the traveler and whether there were any special requirements in advance. Since the hotel swimming pool was not open yet, a 2-day MINI bar was given. We had dinner at the hotel on the second day, and the dishes were very good. The hotel staff were also very kind and enthusiastic. Very good hotel experience, recommended.
