Popular Kyoto 4-star Hotels

We booked a triple room and so glad that the 3rd bed is of the same good quality as the original 2. The 3rd bed was not just a makeshift mattress. All family members were able to rest well. Room was well designed to allow luggages under the bed to not take up too much space when not in use. Hotel also provided sample sized lotions and cleansing gels. When we arrived before check in time, we were pleasantly surprised that we can rest in the lounge and have a drink while waiting. Will definitely recommend.

Hotel asked to pay accommodation tax upon checking in and insist it is required for all Kyoto hotel showing us two brochures. This is not the first hotel I stayed in Kyoto during this period as i stayed 2 different hotels in Kyoto during this trip, but this is the only hotel that asked to pay for a fee. Though fee is not huge, advise travellers to check clearly before booking. Location is not bad and alot of shops around it but do note car cannot be stopped directly in front of hotel as car could not enter the street as its all shops around it.

Sora Niwa is conveniently located, and offers beautiful views of Kyoto. We usually book cheaper places to stay, but we feel we got our money worth as we used the onsens every day, as well as the relaxing terrace with the feet baths. They offer lots of freebies in the lobby, and the staff was very kind and polite. Would definitely recommend to enjoy a peaceful stay in Kyoto!

Did’t fail to disappoint. 3rd time staying at Kyoto Hachijoguchi in less than a year. Clean, comfortable, good amenities and excellent price point for location. Kyoto main station, subway, bus stop, mall and 24 hr food joint are all within 8 min walking distance.

great location. Easy to gather around Kyoto attraction. the mall around the hotel are superb. the restaurants and the shops inside kyoto station area are all packed in one place. For JR ride and shin this side of the station are beneficial. For the bus stop in front of the hotel just take Hoop bus instead of local bus which locate in the other side of the kyoto station

Excellent location, shopping malls around, famous attractions within 10mins walk. Hotel room is clean and nice. Good for family trip.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Tokyo Stay Kyoto Sanjo Karasuma during my visit to Kyoto, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The hotel's prime location in the heart of the city made it incredibly convenient for exploring the various attractions and immersing myself in the local culture. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff at the reception. They provided me with all the necessary information about the hotel facilities and the surrounding area, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The staff members were consistently helpful throughout my stay, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests I had. The room I stayed in was cozy, comfortable, and well-appointed. Despite being compact, it offered ample space for a solo traveler like myself. The bed was comfortable, and the room amenities were modern and well-maintained. I particularly appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi, which was fast and reliable.

Love everything about this hotel! The rooms are beautiful. Spa amenities are top notch, with both indoor and outdoor pools. Location is awesome. Short walk to Nishiki market area. Walkable to Gion as well. Access via subway is easy and not too far, but will be a bit troublesome if it rains. Find subway exit 3 which is a handicap lift near Hotel Okura side for easier access with luggage. Short walk to convenience stores and food options.

The hotel has a central location, with good food and different hairdryers in the surrounding area. The staff were right in their treatment. I emphasise the friendliness and efficiency of the staff of the reception room. In the same room, the restaurant works, which closes at 20.30. No room service.
