Hotels Near Night Market Kuah Town in Langkawi

Came to checked-in here for our last minute short trip. The last time we not able to enjoy the pool due to under maintenance. So we take the chance to enjoy it this time round. But the pool was floated with many flies due to rainy season weather. So we extend our request at front dest and asked them to clean it. They do immediately. After waited almost 25 minutes, finally the pool is ready. We so glad able to enjoyed the pool this time. Thank you to the staff. But pool water quality not so good. Maybe management can please improve.

Don't be fooled by the 4.5 rating, because I certainly was! The only thing this hotel offers is big rooms! And not much else! The location is a big disadvantage, because all the main attractions are far away. You would either have to get a taxi every time, or rent a car or scooter. Car is better because of the distances, but it's more expensive. We were very happy that the hotel offers scooter rentals. However, sometimes the scooters are all in use, so then you're stuck. We were only able to get a scooter from our second day at the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. Back to the rooms - they had white lighting, which is a bit tasteless and makes it a bit too casual. You can fix that with the bedside lamps, though. The rooms also have mini fridges, which is always a plus point. My main issue was the bathroom; the placement / height of the wash basin, with the tiny shelf directly on top of the faucet - barely giving any space in between - was VERY uncomfortable to use. There is a normal way in which things are meant to be positioned, but this was completely absurd. The toilet and shower were all *one* area, albeit big. No boundaries, no borders, no cut-off point separating the two. So when you shower, the whole bathroom floor gets wet - and stays that way. I wouldn't have minded, had they provided wipers. The toilet paper was not great quality, and its holder was worse - when trying to put the roll in, it broke in the first instance. The toilet seat was slightly flimsy. The shower pressure was good, but the water not as hot as desired - despite keeping the geyser on the whole time. There was no proper space to keep things like shampoo. Breakfast: They have the shortest breakfast timings I've seen at any hotel 😂, namely 8am-10am (two hours). It is served inside the room. They give us a choice from four local items (from which we have to choose *one* for each day), plus toast & butter/jam, plus tea or coffee. We have to make the tea/coffee ourselves with the kettle in our room. They already apply the butter/jam on the toast for you, which is good for lazy people like me. And it was quite tasty! The local items were okay; it varies from palate to palate, whether one would like them or not. I liked three out of four, though they were quite oily. All that said, it was THE most basic breakfast I've ever had at any hotel. It only works as a preventive measure from going crazy with hunger right when you get up in the morning 😂 Speaking of food - because of the location of the place, there are no restaurants you can get to by foot (as far as I know), and even GrabFood Delivery had very limited options (we survived on ordering McDonalds for lunch). One good thing was that, unlike other hotels, there was a water dispenser in the lobby, free to use whenever we wanted. Hence, we never ran out of water. The room is huge, the hotel is in a green area, it’s a long way to get there, at night there are frogs, birds and all that. You need to spend the night). There is no cafe here, you can only eat by delivery or go somewhere. You carry your suitcases yourself, both up the stairs and high up (there is no elevator). Clean air and the absence of sweltering heat have big advantages for this place. The bass is small, but ok. Clean, beautiful and good.

Had a pleasant stay here at Lavigo Resort. Close to Chenang and other attractions. Relaxing, clean, beautiful and peaceful place, provided if the visitors are following the house rules ie: loud noise, speakers, party drinks, food & beverages at the pool. We did found a beer bottle cap in the adult pool, meaning there is/are visitors who didn't care about the house rules, who should stay somewhere else. We stayed 3D2N in a superior triple room. Room & bathroom are clean. Complete with toiletries, towels, kettle, coffee, cups, hairdryer, tv, mini fridge. In the exterior; swings and pondoks with hammock in each of them. Clean, good-sized pools for adult and kids (with floats and balls for them to play). Had a chance to meet with its kind and friendly owner and housekeeper. This is so much more than a 2-star resort could offer.

This hotel located just in front of Pantai Chenang. Very convenience to access to the beach. There are so many stall along the roadside. Plenty of duty free shop there. The hotel room just nice for my stay. Its very clean and comfortable. The receptionist also very friendly and willing to help. My friend had left his ‘loket’, the hotel staff willing to help us to find the things and keep for him to take back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

initially thought that the hotel we booked was a mistake coz there was no car park and the lobby wasn’t impressive. but once we checked in, we were pleasantly surprised that the family room (2 king size beds) was spacious, clean and cold. we only realized that you can ask the reception to provide complimentary car park service at the sister property which was only 200m away from this hotel. We loved the location of the hotel as it is very convenient to malls/ shop lots/ restaurants and of course the beautiful beach! Will definitely stay here again the next time! ❤️😘

Check in was smooth since we arrived quite late. We call in advance to inform our eta arrival later than expected due to flight delayed. We got bee building facing the sea. Everything inside the room is clean. Tv channel have astro. Malibest is well known for its location, in the middle busy street Chenang and its hospitality and well clean room! So far it meet my expectation. Just one thing, the hotel parking too limited. Overall, this place will be my favourite place to stay in langkawi sith affordable price.

Nice place to stay for a budget traveller… The price is relatively affordable as it includes room, facilities and breakfast… The room is good and nice… My room with a balcony… Facing the swimming pool… The internet connection is good !! Foods are good too…

The best hotel in Langkawi very friendly and welcoming. Always asking you how the food, the service, the room, they handled everything smoothly...

Absolutely wonderful place! The staff were so friendly and helpful as soon as we arrived. My husband was fasting for Ramadan, so they changed his breakfast to an in-room delivery for 4am for no extra charge. The hotel breakfast itself was also excellent with lots of fresh, local cuisine to try. We stayed in the rainforest chalet - the room was really comfortable and the scenery was beautiful with lots of local wildlife. We spotted monkeys, monitor lizards. hornbills and flying lemurs while we were staying there, all in their natural habitat. Swimming pool was also lovely and the private beach was idyllic. You can swim in the sea but they have a ‘safe section’ marked off as there can be jellyfish in the sea. There are lots of local activities to do which the hotel can organise for you - we hired a private boat to take the mangrove tour, but there are many options and lots for kids to do too. Highly recommend and we will return again!
