Hotels near Hobos Amusement spot in Larnaca

I booked a cheap hotel as I only needed it to sleep and shower in as I was out everyday. You pay for what you get. However the amount of stress caused on check in I was not prepared for. I understand reservations may not appear for many different reasons so I have more patience and understanding than most, however to be told on check in there’s a piece of scrap paper saying I’ve been moved to another hotel 40mins drive away, when I was told their was rooms available, with no proper documentation and I have to pay for the taxi and somehow claim it back from some person tomorrow, then met with a shoulder shrug when I said no just isn’t ok. I spent all evening trying to sort out the check in. Communication failed terribly in this occasion. I was left to sit and basically deal with my reservation myself for 4 1/2 hours talking to the company I booked with, not knowing If I was getting a room here or not and looking for other places to stay. To find out there was a problem with the payment, which if I was told from the beginning it could have been dealt with a lot quicker and reduced the stress of trying to be sent to another hotel, not knowing if they actually had my booking. A lot of reassurance points were missed. Which wasn’t a great start to my holiday. However on another note, This hotel has huge potential and I don’t think the owners realise. It just needs some some TLC, with its location being 5mins from the airport, the beach out side, ***** of restaurants 30 seconds away, volley ball, water sports on the beach out front and 2mins walk from the bus stop to larnaka centre (or 30/40min walk) and only a 5min walk to the salt lake. The actual hotel needs some love and work to it. With the partnership it has with last minute.com and potentially others, it could do really well and stand a very good chance in the market. Just some advice , Get the pool and upstairs bar fixed so it’s suitable for leisure guests when they come next summer. As it stands you wouldn’t be able to relax in the hotel during the day. The lobby area is lovely and spacious, the decorations and branding is simplistic which is nice. The outside of the hotel looks lovely with the huge flamingo. Do up the bedrooms, get the showers fixed, re paint, fix the door handles , make it look fresh like the photos advertised. When you get more guests coming , then focus on re designing the breakfast buffet, so there’s more of a selection. Then focus on customer service and making it feel warm. Let people aware you have made changes and ask the guests to leave reviews, better your chances of new business and more money. As people read reviews before staying. Look at the surrounding market and competition, what are your USP’s ?, where do you stand out?. It’s such a shame to see a hotel with potential go to waste. I hope the owners see this and start to put some love into the hotel.

I had some problems with my flight and i reach the hotel very late. I was surprised that Livadhiotis hotel charged only one night instead of two. And to be honest, all my previous bookings were charged even before my stay but this is the first time the amount was withdrawed during my stay! I felt very appreciated as a human! Livadhiotis hotel is a very respectful hotel: the staff are very helpful and professional. The room and the WC are so clean, the bed is confortable and the air conditioner is smart! The breakfast is perfect! You can find hot drinks and many kinds of juices, croissants, different kinds of cheese, ham, bread, jam, vegetables and fruits. You can also have an english breakfast: eggs, bacon, hot dogs... The hotel location is excellent! Near to the beach and a few steps from Lazarus church! Briefly, it is the best place to stay!

We were absolutely delighted with this hotel. We booked a senior suite and it was stunning with a sitting area as well as a bedroom with a very comfortable bed. The large bathroom has a large powerful shower and a jacuzzi bath. The decor throughout was lovely and the graffiti outstanding. Although on a busy road road soundproofing in the rooms worked perfectly. Breakfast had plenty of choice and we had a drink in the bar one evening and it was comfortable, the service was good and prices reasonable. If there is a slight snag it is car parking as the car park is tiny. Having said that we were able to park there and although we got blocked in the staff were very helpful and made sure the car was moved. Staff were all very good and helpful and although the hotel is not right by the sea it is a short walk even for someone with a bad knee(which I have at the moment). In short I can not recommend this hotel highly enough and we will certainly be back.

So, where to start.. At first glance, the hotel seems newish (rennovated), and the room we got was ok. But here where the problems started.. 1. There was only one worker at the whole hotel.. like the receptionist. Lucky us it wasn't busy. 2. TV - It was not connected to electricty at all. After we complained, and half an hour of ”fixes”, it turned on just to discover, that no channels worked. The official answer was: ”the natena is not tuned/turned to proper direction” xxx. 3. Safe - one of the reasons we ordered this hotel was because it metnioned it has i safe in the room!! Well, there was a safe in the room, but.. it was locked!! After another half an hour, we got an answer, that previous guest took the key with him, and ”there is nothing to be done”. We asked to simply replace the room, but.. ”not possible, all booked” (needless to mention, that we haven't seen any other guests besides ourselvers and another person the whole stay. Lucky fo us it was only 2 days stay!!

LOCATION: located in the heart of the city center and walkable from all key attractions & points of interest DINE + DRINK: The hotel’s signature restaurant serves fine Mediterranean cuisine and functions as the breakfast place too. ROOM: We stayed in Room 504, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Sweet view of the cityscape from the nice balcony attached to the room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good Spa quality Toiletries FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines good enough for a decent workout. They also have a rooftop swimming pool SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home, and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to GEORGE at the front desk for a warm welcome experience and for enhancing our stay HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Medium-sized Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages

Not sure, but this feels like a family run place. The apar**ent had everything we needed, and it was especially nice to have a bathtub. The view is amazing. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs as there always seems to be something going on along the beach. So nice to be able to step outside and go for a swim. Can't wait to return.

Stayed at the hotel for 10 nights. I liked everything - the room is spacious, bright, the bed is comfortable, there is a table for work and a refrigerator. The location is top, close to both the sea and the center. Minus - very small bathroom, cramped

The frangiorgio is located just 5 minutes walk from Larnaca Beach and the promenade, where every thing happens. This is the touristic zone of Larnaca with all three bars caffes and restaurants. Rooms are specious and clean, breakfast is nice and there's a pool on the roof. Stuff was helpful and we had a very pleasant stay. Recommended!

Superb hotel that our company have used for the past 5 years, This weekend we restart our winter visits for another 6 months of amazing service, food and comfort. A stones throw away from the beach and Larnaca airport makes this an ideal location for the leisure and business user. Highly recommend to everyone.

Big enough to be able to give you all the services and facilities you want, small enough that you are not overcrowded by the number of guests. Valentinos was very helpful prior to arrival and during our stay. Fani on reception was also extremely helpful. The hotel is spotless throughout and the pool cleaned every night. Would recommend a sea view room, the view from the other side of the hotel is not great. Good variety at breakfast (the water melon was delicious). Rooms are modern, air conditioning works very well and a good size TV, although not much choice of English speaking channels, but we didn't go there to watch TV. Very good size double bed. Not the biggest bathroom and the area around the sink was not great, but not an issue. Only thing we did not like was how busy the pool got at weekends (we were there for two of them). The hotel is open to non residence for sunbed hire at weekends and it is extremely busy and very crowded. Worst is the disco which is very loud and plays from 11.00am till 4.00pm. Perhaps a good time to sit on the beach! I would recommend the Lebay, just be warned about the overcrowded pool area, specifically on Sundays.
