I was here visiting family for a couple of nights and when I arrived, they asked if I had a reservation which I did, promptly got everything ready and not that this is needed, but I am asked by IHG if I was recognized as a Diamond Member so about half the time, I say no, because the staff don't ask and that was the case here, I'm just another customer and that's fine with me, but I have to let IHG know this for their records, As I exited and entered the hotel on occasion, not a ”Hello” not a ”Hey How are you”...nothing, just no acknowledgement at all and with these 20 and 30 somethings, I have encountered this, not with the older generation, the thing that confuses me is they are in the ”Hospitality” business.....trust me...nothing hospitable about what I have encountered lately and that's this location too, so if you do stay here....don't expect any pleasantries....this generation don't work like that, not sure who trains them or where they get their training, but here's a lesson for ya'll.....If you are in the Travel and Hospitality business....act like it!!! but....so glad my generation knew what hospitality is and still does.....as far as the room itself, it was nothing special....just your typical hotel room and overpriced....doubt I'll be back

If anything went wrong it went wrong at this hotel. The employees are great but the “general manager” has no leadership. which made the nice employees under her hopeless I was there for 5 nights. My room was never cleaned except the first day when I asked the cleaning crew to please clean it. I went to the front desk and ask them to please clean my room the rest of the stay. It wasn’t cleaned. I asked every day that the missed it and it was not done. The first night my Tv did not work and I called the front desk and they said I had to change the port in the tv from one to two everytime I turn the tv on. Ok I will deal with that but the volume did not work. I called back and they asked if I wanted to change room. This was at 11pm and did it want two move the two of us after we had unpacked for 4 nights. I asked if the maintenance could look at it on Thursday. That night the ac fan did not cut off all night. So that morning I asked if they could look at that also. Did not happen. Called back and talked to front desk and said the maintenance guy left at 4. The only way to stop the fan was to cut off the whole system. At night we had to get up and Cut it off from being cold to hot. They said they would fix TV and ac on Friday. Did not happen. The Saturday night manager came up and could not believe what had happened to us and said she would move us but the hotel was full. So I went to the Sunday morning manager “ the most unprofessional person I meet the whole stay and said” since I refused to move rooms the first night she could do nothing.” My wife and daughter stayed with a friend because ever morning they woke up with sore throats. I was told the general manager would be there on Monday at 6am. I was going to leave at 5 to drive back to Richmond. So I waited and at 6 the front desk person, Very friendly told me that she didn’t come in till after 8:30. I left my number for her to call me when I was in my car. I call back at 2pm and she had left for the day. Left my number again and had never heard back from anyone. I was staying for graduation week and the rates were over $350 a night. Very frustrating. After being in Auburn all day and not feeling awake enough to make a drive home I decided to book a room. I didn't have much to choose from because every hotel in the area seemed to be full (on a weeknight) and prices were sky-high! The outside of the Marriott was clean and well-lit and generally felt like a safe area. The entrance from the main road was not lit up and was difficult to see. Check-in was easy, but the desk person lacked in personality or hospitality. She was just doing her job. I knew before booking that this hotel does not serve complimentary breakfast. I usually choose hotels with breakfast because 1. We pay a lot of money to stay at these establishments 2. My kids love to pick different things (like making their own waffles) to eat that we normally wouldn't make at home. 3. It's convenient. Nonetheless, no breakfast at this Marriott, unless you visit their bar area and order and pay for food. A guest checking in ahead of me asked about breakfast - I knew exactly what he was asking. The woman checking him in pointed (at the bar) and said it's over there from (this time to that time) not once saying it isn't included. I bet he was in for a surprise the next morning. As for the room, it was clean and smelled good, unlike many hotels I've stayed in. It's your standard room, but slightly larger than most. The beds were comfortable and had lots of pillows and the sheets were soft - win! The bathroom had a large open shower and plenty of hooks and towel racks. Only 1 coffee cup which sucks when you have more than 1 person in your room who wants coffee. And it looked like someone had spit in the coffee maker - people are nasty! Why??? Also, the mini fridge had something growing in it which I presumed was black mold. As a word of caution for anyone traveling with small children, the window in our room could be slid open easily. I've never stayed in a hotel where the windows actually opened. Clean. Comfortable. Safe. No complimentary breakfast.

I stayed here one night, but would have stayed the entire weekend, if they had availability. The room was very clean. It was a little small, but it felt cozy, not claustrophobic. I got in late and left early, so I did not take advantage of their amenities. That being said, I would happily stay here again.

Simply a great stay. Lisa was so professional, yet gracious with our family. She felt like family from the second we walked in. Everything was clean as good be. Great WiFi, plenty of hot water, and the beds were ultra comfortable. Despite it being a gameday weekend, it didn't feel busy. It was very quiet.

The hotel is a little renovated, but the maintenance is very good, the breakfast is a standard American breakfast, coffee and bacon are very good! The service is also very welcoming, there are on-site meals on holidays, the desserts and chocolates at the front desk are great, the location is also good, next to the 85th road, eating and shopping is very convenient. There is also a Chinese restaurant next to it!
