Raw Culture Art & Lofts Bairro Alto

Baixa Lisbon|0.09km from Church of Saint Roch
It started out rocky as the pickup we booked via hotel was 30 min late to get us at the airport. However the rest of our stay was still so good that I am willing to give it five stars. Room - huge lofts with kitchen and king bed and 3 half baths. No tub but shower was nice and strong. Concrete floor was great as we visited Lisbon in 100 degree weather. The robe and slipper provided were high quality as was the large bath towels. It was a nice touch to get a free liter of water and a small wine as a welcome Breakfast - included with our stay is awesome. Freshly made to order as this place only has 12 lofts. We got scrabbled eggs every day that came with these tomatoes and sliced ham that was simply delicious. Location - is in the midst of bars and restaurants. Many good places nearby. Thankfully with double pane windows, it was pretty quiet for us to sleep even though many party late in the night outside. Only inconvenience is Uber or bolt cannot pick up at door as its in an alleyway. Need to walk 100ft to Main Street to get a Uber or bolt. Bed - roomy and comfortable. They do put two twin together with a big cushion on top but it was very nice bed. Staff - super friendly and helpful. Maria checked us in and was very nice and Philip gave us free welcome drinks and showed us to a restaurant right outside he liked. We liked it too and had a nice dinner for only 30 euros of sardines and grilled sea bream. Yum. I would definitely book again.

Altis Avenida Hotel

Baixa Lisbon|0.29km from Church of Saint Roch
I visited this place in march 2022 with my husband. The + of this hotel: - modern (I think they have redecorated it recently) - perfect situation (you are between Avenida da Liberdade with Restauradores square on one side and the Rossio square) and you have thus plenty of restaurants and shops right next to the hotel, as well as many places of interest to visit in the neighbourhood - a good restaurant at the top of the hotel with a great terrasse from where you can admire the city: the Rossio Gastrobar It is « tapas » kind and it was one of the best food we had during this 3 nights stay - a good breakfast offer in a room which is also situated on the roof top, on the other side of the gastrobar, though a little bit noisy when it is full - the rooms are correctly equipped and perfectly clean - though you are in an animated area, it is perfectly calm and quiet in the rooms The - now: - the bedrooms are very dark. We took one superior with balcony but still, all was black in this room and the view was…not what we expected, even if it was on a quite high floor. In fact most of them are facing their other hotel across the road. I bet you’d better take a suite to get an open view. - service is ok but very discreet (reception) or jaded (gastrobar). It was good at breakfast. Let me explain: I couldn’t get a reservation in any of the three restaurants I had asked for my last evening through the reception. I guess it saved me money :-) At Gastrobar, several waiters were acting as if they had not seen our signs, waiting for the only waitress that night to do it at their place (which she always did)

Very central location - hidden behind a coded-entry door next to a little cafe, we had the 1-bed apartment on the 3rd floor, access via a modern lift. The website photos are 100% accurate! The apartment is beautifully decorated and the views across the city to the Castelo de S. Jorge. Comfortable bed and well-equipped kitchen & bathroom. The day beds in the lounge were lovely to relax on after long walks! There is a fair bit of noise at night - from neighbouring roof-top bars, but we slept well anyway (and ear-plugs are provided in case of need). Residentas team checked up via WhatsApp to see if all OK, or if we needed anything, we felt undisturbed but supported, we had a lovely stay. Location is across from the Miradouro park, and Baixa-Chiado and Restauradoures Metro stations are nearby. Lots of tiny supermarkets on the back streets, and good local bakeries too - turn right up the hill, on past the florists there is a beautiful pastelaria, or the cafe on the ground floor is an easy option. Down the street the M'Arrecreo pizzeria is fantastic (book ahead), and Luggage at City Center is super convenient to drop your bags for departure day (see separate review, short walk down hill, with washrooms and close to Metro.

Exceptional stay and outstanding location. 1. Great service Paulo, Thomas and Catarina are fantastic and very helpful and very quick to resolve any concerns and requests 2. Superb location. Chiado Arty Flats faces a beautiful square in front of the churches of Sant Roque, is a few minutes from Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcantra, a spectacular viewing point. It’s also a few steps away from some amazing restaurants including: - Bairro de Avillez, from the superstar Portuguese chef with multiple Michelin stars - Gunpowder - a Lisbon outpost of the Michelin starred Indian restaurant from London - Carnal, a fantastic Mexican restopub 3. Spacious apartment We had a wonderful one bedroom apartment with a bed in the living room where our kids slept. The room was fabulous 4. Delicious breakfast delivered to your room Breakfast was awesome. Hot bacon and scrambled eggs. Warm pastel de natas and croissants fresh from the oven, fruit, juice, milk. We will definitely be returning here for our next family visit to Lisbon!

The location is average. Although it seems to be in the center, it is actually not close to any attractions and is on the mountain. The white male waiter at the front desk is warm and friendly. You can get a complimentary wine tasting from 5 to 7 o'clock when you check in, but these points are spent at other attractions and you can't catch up with the tasting. Overall relatively safe.

Very good location, the main street door is facing the lift. The rooms are fully equipped with a bread machine, coffee machine, kettle and slippers. There is a small and lovely living room. The only thing that is not satisfactory is that the wardrobe is small and barely hangs two coats.
