The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles

Downtown Los Angeles Los Angeles|1.63km from Contreras High School Stadium
The Ritz-Carlton Los Angles is one of our most favorite hotels but on our recent trip it was a whole new level for two reasons 1) super sweet upgrade (thanks Bonvoy Ambassador team)and 2) club level access. The Room The Executive Suite is a stunning room. The hotel offers several configurations. Some have a half bath, some offer a connecting room and some are accessible. Regardless of configurations all offer a spacious living/dining room, spectate bedroom, stunning bathroom and killer views. The executive suite is great for couples looking for a bit of extra space (more than a thousand square feet) to spread out, families or those travel on business and need space for work. Club Lounge If you’ve never had the opportunity to experience the Ritz-Carlton Club Level it is an experience to be had. Unfortunately Ritz-Carlton does not offer elite access to the club level so you’ll have to pay for it - Burd it’s worth it. The offerings vary by hotel but this club offers a full hot breakfast, lite lunch mid day, snacks, evening appetizers and desserts, beer and wine all day and evening cocktail service. This is all included in the room rate along with an incredible concierge team. The Hotel The hotel is tranquil, private and offers discrete luxury. Even though the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton share a building the experiences can not be anything farther from each other. From the private lobby, to beautiful rooms, to the well equipped fitness center to the tranquil rooftop pool The Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles does not disappoint.

Omni Los Angeles Hotel

Room quality & amenities: The room was nice, spacious and comfortable. They give you a nice desk to work on if you're on a business trip. They have a small pool and a gym in the building but I did not get to use these because work was busy for me that week. I read that another guest had problems connecting their Netflix; it actually was not that bad for me. They use get streaming so you can chrome cast to the TV. Once I connected the Wi-Fi it was easy to start streaming on the TV. I like that better than logging into my account and worrying about forgetting to log back out before I leave. The one thing I really liked about the room was the bed. I'm going mattress shopping now because I haven't slept through out the night like that in ages. I wish I could have packed the bed in my suitcase for the trip home! Comfortable stay hands down. The rooms are fairly quite too; I didn't hear my neighbors at all (only the hallway actually). Cleanliness: The rooms are kept clean. I felt comfortable walking around bare foot even in the shower and sleeping in the bed. They come everyday about midday to clean the rooms. Overall they keep the hotel clean and neat. Dining: I stopped in for breakfast one day; it was made well. Breakfast is my favorite meal, and they did not disappoint. I recommend it before venturing out for the day. The wait staff was attentive and courteous. Also the Grand Cafe has a nice atmosphere to it. I did not eat lunch or dinner here though, so I cannot comment on them. Location: The only real complaint I would have would be the area; which the hotel does not have any control of. It is in the heart of Downtown LA which has a ton of sketchy people walking around at night. I implore anyone staying here to use Uber/Lyft to get around the area and/or Uber eats to order in food. Walking around the area at night is not a good idea! If you do have to venture out; I recommend exiting on the 3rd floor as this area seems less desolate. There is a nice plaza with shops nearby. However, most places close around 6PM so get your shopping and exploring in early. Bar Lounge: I do think they need security at the bar. We stopped in for drinks and I felt bad for the bar tender because she had to deal with all kinds of riff raff that may or may not have been staying at the hotel; not sure. A group of guys started getting really loud and were practically yelling at everyone. If I stay here again I'm not hanging out at the bar. View: If it matters, the view from one side of the hotel faces two apartment buildings so you might not really have a view of the city. To be honest, I like to see a nice view when I open the curtains, not someone's balconies. It would not be a deal breaker for me though. Final thoughts: I would stay here again. However, I did visit my friend who was staying somewhere else and I did like the location and the amenities in that hotel. I do not know if the beds are as comfortable though. Overall, I would not mind staying at OMNI DT

I was going to stay in room 229 for four nights (Monday, August 29th - Friday, July 2nd), to attend SIGGRAPH in 2019, but ending up leaving early - not even sleeping there one night. The older man at the front desk was courteous, nice, and helpful with getting the WiFi password. He gave me the option of choosing rooms between an older building and a newer one, where there was not hot water at the time (but that was temporary, due to some maintenance going on) and nicer rooms. I went with the newer building lacking warm water (for a day) and having nicer rooms. Room 229 looked as the hotel advertises online, and like the photographs of other online reviews. The room was clean, the bed made, no stains in the microwave, and the bathroom had fresh toilet paper in a matte paper wrap. I settled in, putting my items down, and went out to eat. Coming back is when alert arose. Not too long after returning (quite soon rather), I was sitting at a chair next to the bed, charging my phone, when a knock was heard. I called out ”hello?” and no one answered. There was more knocking and more hellos from me, but still, no response. I went up to the door from the inside and asked who was there, calling my sister was I headed to the door, as the felling was not right - one ready for 911. A man claimed to be looking for a ”Kyle,” and I informed the man that there was no Kyle there, especially not I (female). He wanted to come inside the room, then claiming that ”Kyle's” phone number was inside the room, presumably written down. Told the man that there was no such number in the room, that it was clean when I got there. Also suggested that he go ask the front desk about this ”Kyle,” letting him know that I was not comfortable letting him in the room. He would not go to the front desk and claimed that he understood that I was not comfortable letting him in the room, but was still insisting on coming in. It was difficult to get a good look at him through the peep hole. It sounded like there was someone else with him. He and they sounded mumbled in a quick talk, like acknowledging my stance and essentially giving up, leaving. Maybe they did not truly leave, but stayed in the shadows or at a distance, away from evident sight. After the incident, I texted and called friends about it, also the front desk. The worker who picked up stated that they would check it out, but I did not dare open the door and check to see if they actually did. I waited for a trusted friend to pick me up and ended up staying with her at the Sheraton Grand in downtown LA instead - much more secure. It was dark out, but less frightening when help came. I called Expedia, whom the stay was booked with, about the incident on the 29th and got an email on the 30th, in the AM, that they were still in the process of contacting the manager about getting a refund. Called Expedia the next day, the 31st, and was told that a full refund was going to be issued. Proceeded to drop off the key at the hotel, but the n

Service was ok. Other Westin hotels chains do a lot better, barely any amenities in the hotel and their check in counters are really inefficient.
City Center Hotel Los Angeles

The hotel belongs to the type of motorbike hotel, the location is the biggest highlight, walk to the city bus station 5, 6 minutes. Hotel facilities are relatively old, enough to sleep as a journey. Other facilities are basically not available. The hotel (hotel) below 1000 yuan in Los Angeles is basically this condition. In short, the hotel facilities are basically in line with this price.

Knights Inn Los Angeles Central / Convention Center Area

The area is slightly seedy but the hotel was quiet - 2 night stay. Rug was stained and a repair in teh bathtub was poorly grouted, but otherwise fine. Breakfast was satisfactory ... nothing hot except a waffle that had to be made by staff. Could have had some donuts, bagels, etc. Price was good compared to other places in the area. Hotel is open to potential street people but was oky when I was there.
