Location wise is tip top nearby jonker street, service is really good and attentive especially breakfast, it was ala carte and delicious. Hotel beautifully decorated with babanyonya style. Room are little outdated, old tv, no socket beside bed, small hair dryer, non sensitive door handle. With the price we paid we could get better quality of facilities tho, narrow gym & swimming pool. However, TQ to everyone in the hotel, they’re very friendly and accommodating

This is a very new hotel which started their business in March 2023. Wanted to try on the first day of opening but due to some reason, it was delayed till now. It’s a first Marriott hotel in Melaka, so I do have very high expectations from them. As a Marriott platinum elite member, I’ve stayed in many hotel under Marriott organisation. Upon reaching the hotel with grab car, the staff came up to me immediately and lead me to the check in counter, the lobby are huge, and I can still smell that the hotel are still so new. Not much of the guest in the lobby area, it’s a Monday so I guess it’s normal. No suite room upgrade and no complimentary breakfast for a platinum member, although I was upgraded to a strait view room which I appreciated it. It can see a tiny bit of the sea. Apart from that, I guess the room size and amenity are the same. The check in staff told me that the suite room was full… I mean.. it’s a Monday.. and I literally still can see the suite room was available in the Bonvoy app. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been to many hotel under Marriott organisation. I don’t always get upgraded to a suite room, but it was okay, I do understand all these are subjected to individual hotel policy and it’s all a good will. But I guess the staff could just tell me that the hotel are still new, the suite room are limited and it’s reserved for paying guest. I would totally understand that. But I don’t think it’s wise to you know, use a default replied as member like us, we check on the app. For me, if there’s no available suite room, I wouldn’t even ask for an upgrade. Secondly, there’s no complimentary breakfast, I paid RM70 for the 2 day breakfast. I’ve stayed in a few courtyard hotel, this was the first one that I’ve paid for breakfast, there might be other courtyard that don’t provide complimentary breakfast for guest with elite status, maybe I didn’t stay much enough to see it all. I’ve stayed with hotel that told me that their facility actually don’t offer complimentary breakfast for elite member, but they will just give it to me as a good will on top of my welcome gift. Just a little suggestion, like maybe let the counter staff to decide, if they could slip in some complimentary breakfast to guest with elite status or even guest that potentially come back again. I’m not complaining here, just some of my suggestions. The room are new, nice and spacious, very clean. Nice TV channel selection, view was great. Bed are firm to the level that I like, they offer pillow menu as well. Had very good sleep for the 2 night. Breakfast was very basic. There’s a very annoying flies flying around my table.. how did it come into the hotel, lol. Gym are small but there should be everything you need. The infinity pool are great! Very good view and very Instagrammable. Please visit the pool when you are here. The staff and friendly and nice. Would come back again to the hotel when I’m back in Melaka.

We had stayed in Hatten hotel a few years for the first time and liked it very much. So for our second visit it is a natural choice for us again. The staff was friendly and the household service was prompt in sending extra towels at night. We had used the swimming pool this time unlike our previous visit. It was clean and looked well maintained. Its location was excellent as it is next to two malls. Jonker walk is about 20 minutes away by foot. The only disappointment we had was the quality of the breakfast and Ramadan dinner. There is a wide selection of food items but it was quantity over quality.

The front desk staff are friendly and welcoming when we were check in with a complimentary cookies, when we got into the room we realised that the fridge wasn't working, we let housekeeping and they immediately changed a new fridge for us. the room was nice and spacious the lights are working fine however the sofa a a little old ed stained.the body foam that they provide probably only can last a day and you are need to ask the housekeeping refill it if staying more then a day . the breakfast is great although we could get a clean table and had to ask the waiter to clean the table for us before we could go and get the food. overall we love the bed the soft pillow and it was a good stay .

The hotel has very traditional decor and the rooms are large. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fixed menu, rather than Buffet, because of the coronavirus restrictions, and not good. At least not as described on the menu and service quite slow, despite only one other group staying. On the 2nd day we didn't bother with breakfast and went out to eat. Probably when things are back to normal the breakfast service may be better since everything else was very good. In the meentime I would suggest taking room without breakfast.

Immediately when I checked in, what stood out to me was how friendly the staff is. They got us sorted out into our rooms and were very enthusiastic when we asked about landmarks around the city. Location wise, it was great as well. Very near to Jonker Street and the Melaka museums. Lots of authentic and older shops within walking distance as well. It's a great introduction to the city. As for the rooms, it's not super fancy but still very comfortable. No complains here. It was a good choice.

The location is very good, just at Jonker walk, shopping and eating are all downstairs, but the first time I checked in, the elevator broke down, and I had to carry my suitcase to the third floor, unfortunately 😔😔 The room was very small and narrow Although the new owner took over, the hotel facilities are very old. There is an open parking lot at the back, but if you want to stay overnight, you need to pay RM20, but you can enter and exit the parking lot at will.

We arrived at this hotel at about 2.30p.m. and we tried our luck to check in earlier than 3p.m.. Guess what~ we were allowed to check in at 2.35p.m. since the room was ready! This hotel is just about 15 minute walk from the jonker street, which means it is neither secluded nor crowded. Some famous restaurants and attractions are just within walking distance e.g. the Ban Lee Siang restauran (satay celup) is just 3 min walking distance from the hotel itself. If you dislike walking or you are travelling with family members, then maybe this hotel isn't good enough for you, otherwise it is just great for you to exercise a bit. And we were enjoying the street view and the building while walking from one destination to the next. The hotel environment was clean and it always smell good. The lighting was great and basic amenities were in good condition. Room was clean and in good condition (just the bathroom door lock was a bit loosen). Overall, it is good.

The hotel was much bigger than we had anticipated. It is a really beautiful place, hidden away in the nice city of Melaka. The lobby is beautifully designed, but freezing and the whole hotel seemed drenched in some kind of perfume, which made me a bit dizzy. Our room had the weirdest smell- but I think it was intentional...as though they had made it smell like that on purpose...like mouldy hay. The room was really pretty and the little patio is a nice touch. We informed the desk that we's be checking out at 12:50. but still, the same concierge called us at 12:00, waiting impatiently for us to check out. We were also hardly ever greeted upon entering the hotel. Weird. Once everything is done, I'm sure it will be a nice place. I wish the plants were real. They are all plastic and it shows, unfortunately. The location is perfect, just around the corner from China Town and Junkers Walk. I think it's a decent place to stay for a night or two.

Is an old building, not renovated for long time, windows are not opening at least in my room, there’s no bench to open your luggage, taps was leaking,was impossible to adjust the hot/cold water to the shower,overall very clean,the staff helpful as they allowed us to check in 1 hour earlier,breakfast has very poor variety,no mineral water provided,no shower gel , no toothpaste, only hand soap and shampoo gel was provided

Stayed here for two nights. It has a great location close to Jonker Walk, but a little away from it so it's pretty quiet. The room itself is fine, on the functional side and comfortable enough. It was, on reflection, quite pricey for what it was, but did the job. On the plus side was a genuine King Bed, an effective AC unit and a mini fridge (sadly not as common in other Malaysian hotels as I'd hoped). The shower and bathroom were decent. Very steep stairs climbing up to the room, not easy to manhandle a heavy suitcase. Location is a 5 min walk from Casa Del Rio - if you're coming to/from Singapore, many coaches drop/collect from Casa Del Rio negating a need to go to Melaka Sentral. One thing to note about Melaka - finding places open for breakfast is quite difficult. This hotel didn't appear to have a breakfast option, and most cafes don't open till 10am. There are a couple open earlier, but they're not obvious.

Stayed 1 night during last weekend. Able to book in last minute 2 triple room RM160 + RM4 Heritage tax. Very good location only 500m walking to Jonker street Saturday night market. Room is new decoration. There are water dispenser, coffee and tea are foc.Towel and bedsheet seem dull but still acceptable. TV not working, no hair dryer is not a big problem to me since the price is worth everything. Next time sure I will stay again if I am able to book the room with this kind of price. Thank you so much.

1. The self check in procedure is quite tedious. If u dont have wifi, just sneak ur eyes in to look inside the wifi password. 2. Surprisingly, the room is extremely clean. Really not expect the room with this price will be as clean as this. Kudos to the hardworking ladies to ensure the top notch cleanliness. 3. Good wifi from room 4. Spacious room n bathroom. This hotel was in a fantastic location in the heart of Melaka - so it was very convenient to come in and out of the hotel constantly in between shops and restaurants. The decor in the hotel is very nice and has lots of character with nice paintings etc. We stayed in the Kapital room on ground floor which was very large and bathroom was also large and bed was very comfortable. The free snacks and drinks was also a nice touch. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was OK, just need to get there earlier so that when they make the food it is warm. The staff were super friendly and helpful - and also organised transport to next destination at a very reasonable price - the staff were perfect. The cleanliness was excellent. The hotel rooms itself were very quiet - the only annoyance was people in the carpark at the back which was just outside our room late at night constantly letting off fireworks - ideally security should be able to get them to go away considering it is illegal to let off fireworks. The other issue in the room was the power kept disconnecting and connecting making a loud noise each time and meaning one needed to manually put the air conditioning back on each time which is OK during the day but not at night - this may have been a one off issue. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when in Melaka - we would probably stay in a different room though as there are many other options available. It is good value for money, fantastic location, fantastic staff, very comfortable and convenient.
