**Review of Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka** My stay at Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka was a bit of a mixed experience, with both positive aspects and a few frustrations. Starting with the positives, the location of the hotel is great—situated near the heart of Melaka, making it easy to explore the city’s attractions. The facilities, including the pool and gym, were well-maintained, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was modern and welcoming. However, there were some issues that affected my overall comfort. First, the parking situation. While the hotel offers a premium valet service for RM25, it feels a bit overpriced given the alternatives in the area. Though convenient, the cost doesn’t match the level of service provided. The biggest downside was the bathroom design. The toilet and shower are separated by one of those glass partitions, which isn’t the most functional setup. It made the space feel cramped and awkward to move around, especially with limited space behind the bathroom door. The shower glass just added to the inconvenience—honestly, removing it might improve the usability of the space! On a brighter note, the staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay, and check-in and check-out were smooth. Overall, Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka has potential, but small details like the bathroom layout and parking costs took away from what could have been a more enjoyable experience. **Rating:** 3.5/5

Spacious room with two big single beds and a couch. There are iron, hair dryer, small fridge, electric stove, room slippers, and many more. Great breakfast with many choices. I love the cappuccino the most. Free Car park provided only at level 7/8... A long way to climb from the ground haha. My only complaint is the wall of the washroom. It's quite transparent. People from outside can see you and what you are doing inside 🙊. It's not suitable if you stay with children.

The spacious room, with its breathtaking view of the bustling streets and serene river, was a highlight. It offered a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. However, what truly stood out was the warmth and professionalism of the front desk staff. From check-in to check-out, they were always ready to assist with a smile, offering valuable tips and ensuring all my needs were met promptly. For those seeking a blend of comfort, nostalgia, and outstanding hospitality in Melaka, Bayview Hotel Melaka is highly recommended.

This is a very new hotel which started their business in March 2023. Wanted to try on the first day of opening but due to some reason, it was delayed till now. It’s a first Marriott hotel in Melaka, so I do have very high expectations from them. As a Marriott platinum elite member, I’ve stayed in many hotel under Marriott organisation. Upon reaching the hotel with grab car, the staff came up to me immediately and lead me to the check in counter, the lobby are huge, and I can still smell that the hotel are still so new. Not much of the guest in the lobby area, it’s a Monday so I guess it’s normal. No suite room upgrade and no complimentary breakfast for a platinum member, although I was upgraded to a strait view room which I appreciated it. It can see a tiny bit of the sea. Apart from that, I guess the room size and amenity are the same. The check in staff told me that the suite room was full… I mean.. it’s a Monday.. and I literally still can see the suite room was available in the Bonvoy app. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been to many hotel under Marriott organisation. I don’t always get upgraded to a suite room, but it was okay, I do understand all these are subjected to individual hotel policy and it’s all a good will. But I guess the staff could just tell me that the hotel are still new, the suite room are limited and it’s reserved for paying guest. I would totally understand that. But I don’t think it’s wise to you know, use a default replied as member like us, we check on the app. For me, if there’s no available suite room, I wouldn’t even ask for an upgrade. Secondly, there’s no complimentary breakfast, I paid RM70 for the 2 day breakfast. I’ve stayed in a few courtyard hotel, this was the first one that I’ve paid for breakfast, there might be other courtyard that don’t provide complimentary breakfast for guest with elite status, maybe I didn’t stay much enough to see it all. I’ve stayed with hotel that told me that their facility actually don’t offer complimentary breakfast for elite member, but they will just give it to me as a good will on top of my welcome gift. Just a little suggestion, like maybe let the counter staff to decide, if they could slip in some complimentary breakfast to guest with elite status or even guest that potentially come back again. I’m not complaining here, just some of my suggestions. The room are new, nice and spacious, very clean. Nice TV channel selection, view was great. Bed are firm to the level that I like, they offer pillow menu as well. Had very good sleep for the 2 night. Breakfast was very basic. There’s a very annoying flies flying around my table.. how did it come into the hotel, lol. Gym are small but there should be everything you need. The infinity pool are great! Very good view and very Instagrammable. Please visit the pool when you are here. The staff and friendly and nice. Would come back again to the hotel when I’m back in Melaka.

This hotel is located near Jonker Street, so it’s very convenient to walk to nearby places for food, shopping, and more. I think the location is excellent. However, the one thing that I was really dissatisfied with is that the rooms seem to be designed for families, and they may have slides or play areas for children. I happened to stay on the ground floor, and unfortunately, the family staying in the room above mine had children who didn't sleep at night. When they were playing upstairs, I could clearly hear their footsteps from the ground floor, which disturbed my sleep. They were still playing past 2 in the morning, which was the only thing I wasn't happy about. This hotel is quite new, and in terms of cleanliness, I think it’s still okay for now. However, if I were to consider staying at this hotel again, I would have to think about it. If I’m assigned to the ground floor again, I might not choose to stay here.

Newly renovated hotel in little india area. Close walk to Jalan Bunga Raya where there's a path to the river and lots of cafes. Room is clean and quiet. Breakfast is simple but filling. Service is v friendly. I would stay there again.

The hotel from the exterior looked really grand. The room was quite big in size and the hotel reception staff were nice enough. We (husband, two teenage children and I) arrived an hour early and were directed to the note that they didn’t have early check-ins. The doorman was nice and gave us an umbrella as it was raining when we were going out. However, the bathroom was not very clean with rotting shower screen because of most likely poor cleaning. The towels in the bathroom were supposed to be white but were brown in colour and stained. Unfortunately, we had to use these as there was no other option, felt unclean after shower. The corridor had a musty odour which was overpowering. Stayed two nights and had put up a door sign to have the room cleaned but no one came around and we were out all day. Bottled water was given on the first day but not on the subsequent day. I’m glad we only stayed two nights as couldn’t have tolerated the place for any longer.

Regular guest at this hotel due its excellent location close to the main tourist attractions, eateries and shopping malls. Room is comfortable and quite spacious. My usual grouse is the tiny shower cubicle that leaves splashes of water on the bathroom floor. But overall, a satisfactory stay.

Very nice hotel and will repeat next time. I love this hotel,cozy and perfect place for staycation
