There are not many indoor parking spaces, so you can only park on the hiking trail next to it. The room was quite clean, except for a few small black bugs, a few small spiders hanging from the ceiling, and small mosquitoes that flew in because the windows were open. By the way, it taught the children an ecology lesson😑. The air conditioner is too loud, which affects sleep. The room window faces east, and you can just see the sunrise on the opposite mountain. The view of the lake is not bad, but it is a bit sunny. Breakfast has both Chinese and Western styles, the dishes are simple, and you can enjoy the lakeside view while dining. Hope the room cleaning can be improved. However, it is really a good deal to stay in a quadruple room with side lake view including breakfast for less than 3,000 during the holiday. If you have the chance, you can consider coming back next time.

The location is good, the room is large and clean, there is a bathtub for taking a bath, the breakfast is beautiful, the food court and the ferry port are just downstairs, it is very leisurely to take a walk in the evening, I will stay again next time, highly recommended

Great location as the hotel is right in the center of the Ita Thao town where you can easily walk to the lake, pier, hiking/bike trail, and foodie places. Hotel staff are very friendly and willing to help every step if asked. The high floor suite is sizable with fairly large jacuzzi tub and shower room. A private balcony provides a partial view to the lake. Free designated parking garage is a plus in a crowded town. The lake view however is partially blocked by some apartments in front but the hotel is still close to the water front. The hotel building, incl room, furnitures and decorations, does show some age and is about right to have its current star rating and price. We definitely enjoyed the stay.

The location is very good. When you get off the boat and walk to Ita Shao Pier, you can see Mingyue Lake Hotel. Turn left after the hotel and you will find the shopping street. Turn right from the hotel and you can take the lake-circling trail to the cable car station. After passing the cable car station, walk down to the Water Frog Trail. , I saw nine water frogs on 2/27. The room is very clean, especially the bathtub, which is very clean. The breakfast is very attentive. You can eat local bamboo rice and Assam milk tea, which is very filling. The service is very good and enthusiastic, and they can provide discounts on tickets for the Formosan ethnic groups or renting bicycles. There are also itinerary and attraction planning, which will be introduced in detail. This time I stayed in side view rooms 305 and 605. The price of just over 3,000 yuan allowed me to see the view of Sun Moon Lake. It was a very satisfying stay. A small disadvantage is that when taking a shower, the water temperature of the 605 shower is relatively unstable, and sometimes it suddenly becomes very hot.

The good thing is that the hotel is strategically located right by the lake on the edge of the village. There is a floating dock with a location on it, where you can enjoy the view while drinking. It is a five-minute walk from the shops, restaurants and other living facilities in Yuchi Township. The hotel looks very beautiful, made of wood, the walls and ceilings of the room are also made of wood, there is a very warm and attractive feeling. Free wireless Internet is available. On the poor side, our room was obviously dirty. Several obvious spots on the beige carpet had a few large, uncomfortable-looking stains. There was a used wet towel on the floor of the shower room, which indicated that the cleanliness of the room and the level of preparation of the room were not high. We weren’t surprised to be staying in room 303 because we stayed for one night and didn’t expect the best room they could give us. The good side of the room is that the lake view is very beautiful (not all rooms can see the lake view), the bad room is that the room is just next to the lobby, so it is very noisy. The front desk kept music and heard it clearly in the room (I think there was a loudspeaker on one wall in the room). After a few hours I told the front desk staff if they would mind turning the volume down a little bit, and they agreed. We could hear it though the business wasn't that loud. Another group gathered in the lobby before setting off, and the noise of their talking and laughing was loud in the room. So if you are staying at this hotel, I suggest you want a room a little further from the front desk. There is an indoor pool downstairs which is great if the water is warm. The water in the same jacuzzi is also very cold. This time of year this place is quite cold, especially at night, so it would be great if you could swim or soak in warm water. We didn't see a person swimming when we lived there. Now talk about breakfast: breakfast should have been from 7 to 9:30. We arrived at the restaurant at 9 o'clock and saw a smileless lady. She took our breakfast coupon and didn't say a word, and then we were the air. There was another employee at that time. A young male waiter. There were a lot of empty tables, but the tableware was not set. After a while we found that we had to do it ourselves, we looked around and found some tableware mats and knives and forks and arranged the table ourselves. Then we went to get something to eat. Although they are still half an hour away from their service, it is obvious that they will not add anything more, and now how much is how much. Because of this, we have to eat several times, like fresh fruit, juice and scrambled eggs. I walked towards the two employees, who were at a table in the corner, far from the guests, and I asked if they would add more to their meal. The lady was still indifferent, and the male waiter looked blank. I motioned for him to come with me, led him to the food table, showed him the juice maker and scrambled egg plates were empty. At 9:25, the lady frowned as we left. The male waiter was invisible. When you are looking forward to the general breakfast experience at a Taiwanese hotel - friendly welcome, lead you to the table, ask if you want coffee, thoughtful service, thank you when you leave, etc. - then Sun Moon Lake Lushan Forest International Hall is really funny compared to that. My wife and I have been constantly feeling the friendship and enthusiasm of the Taiwanese people during our two-week trip to Taiwan, and we are impressed and happy with this, so we will not be less impressed by Taiwan because of this unpleasant experience. However, if you want to feel the hospitality of Taiwan, I suggest you try other hotels. (Fortunately, we didn't have dinner in the hotel restaurant before, otherwise we would be disappointed twice. We went to the Regal Resort B&B 50 yards away and had a very interesting and enjoyable dinner in a garden lit by candles. The place also has guest rooms, full of artwork and tourist souvenirs. This one might also be a good choice in the area.)

Because I booked a lake view room, I can enjoy the view of Sun Moon Lake from the room. There is also a terrace outside the room for people to enjoy the beautiful scenery outside. But apart from the scenery, the cleanliness of the towels provided in the room is really shocking. There is actually a moldy black spot on the big towel, which is 2cmx2cm in size, and no one dares to use it. In general, the lake view is already the biggest selling point of the hotel!

I am 1/25 staying in the double room on 606 and smelled a very strong smell of smoke as soon as I entered it. It was like the smell of smoke in KTV. Visited sun moon lake and held a small bday party in the room. Spacious room for balloons! The room still has plenty spaces even with two of my 1.5m number balloons. Balcony is perfect for Instagram shots, better use flashlight or else the background is lighter than your face. When we visited in December, there weren't much rain so a part of the lake close to the hotel is just muddy and brown, so just adjust the camera angle and your picture will still look nice. Close to the harbour, convenience stores, and the souvenir street. It has a huge parking lot 3 min away from the hotel, rmb to bring an umbrella in case it pours mid way. Elevators large enough to fit in a family of five with suitcases. The staff was nice and check us in efficiently. Tea and snacks are provided, and rooms are clean. They locate my granny's room next to us - really appreciate this. Overall, 10 out of 10. I'll definitely stay here next time I visit Taiwan. Btw I visited back in 2020/12 not 2021/12, trip advisor didn't provide me the option to choose 2020.

Nice lakeside view in the hotel room, and you can see the sunrise from the room balcony. The room has a heater so you can turn it on if you are cold. Breakfast selections are quite ok, but seats are quite limited.

The hotel is located above the Sun Moon Lake. The view is fantastic. We booked one lake view room and one room facing the mountain. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The hotel is a bit old. The water pressure of the bathroom is very low, thus it took a long time to take a bath. The water pipe of the water basin is a bit long, it is easy to hurt your eyes if you were careless. The room lights are a bit dim while the sound of the air conditioning is quite noisy. Food varieties of breakfast is good but lack of staffs to refill the foods. You wouldn’t have much to eat if you come to breakfast lately say after 9.30am. The hotel has two car parking spaces. It is convenient and free of charge.
