It is a good spot to buy necessary stuffs and an access full place to see some view and go other view spot you want to see. facilities is so so. service is just ok. restaurant persons probably tke your food plans and bowl quickly if you don't notice that, it is kind of rude way. except this , other aspects is ok or so so for this restaurant. besides,you can rent bike easily outside in this spot.

Supplementary comment~The scenery is too beautiful🥺 We checked in because we were celebrating an anniversary! The hotel also helped with the decoration and provided a bottle of red wine which was very thoughtful☺️ I didn’t go anywhere, just stayed in the hotel and it was so relaxing☺️ There are so many different styles of dinner, but it’s a pity that people with small stomachs can’t hold so many things..😂 After eating, you can go to the play area to move around and throw a basketball to digest... I was so full that I played darts and pool 😂😂 It was so fun 😁 There was some incident at breakfast the next day that I won’t go into details~ But the hotel's handling method is very good. It takes our feelings into consideration! Tea was originally given to us as a gift, but we did not accept it at the moment. But when we checked out, the hotel staff personally gave us handmade bread from the hotel’s baking department and insisted that we accept it😀 I will still choose here next time I go to Nantou for vacation^_^

The best part about this hotel (国民賓館) is its location. Bus 6664, 6658, 6659 all stop less than 80m from its entrance if you're using Nantou bus. It's along the main road which is easy for pickups if you're joining local day or night tours. Across the road from Little Swiss Garden. Even Cingjing Farm has signs along its walking paths directing visitors to the hotel. The other main benefit was that the room rates I paid on Trip.com included a pair of tickets to Green Green Grassland, Little Swiss Garden and a discounted ticket (only need top up 30TWD each) to the Cingjing Skywalk - pleasantly surprised to know this only at check-in although I knew beforehand that the room rates included basic Chinese breakfast for 2, which was another convenient point for guests. The hotel buildings and room was a bit dated, no aircon since the weather in the evening and morning is cooling. But the room, bed, utilensils and toilet were clean. The view from the room balcony and hotel garden was nice to view sunset.

GGuest UserDoris' Home http://www.dorishome.com.tw/ Location: It takes only 3 minutes to walk from here to the Water Snake bus stop (the Nantou bus will stop there), next to the visitor center, be careful of the traffic there Youyao Bureau, Youyao Bureau is located on the hillside. There is also an orange sign here, with Chinese characters written ”Scotch Whiskey—Single Malt Whiskey” on the top right of the sign. This sign is still very obvious, and there is minsu at the back of the pharmacy. Price: The smallest room, the Kitty room, is usually priced at 440 yuan, and if it catches up with the weekend, the price is 660 yuan, and slightly larger rooms, such as Doris room and Garfield room, are usually 549 yuan, while If it is a weekend, it is 770 yuan. Room size: The smallest of the three rooms is the Kitty room, but even so, the Kitty room feels quite large to me. Doris's room has a small balcony with a table and chairs, so you can take a good rest when you are tired. Our room looked out over the gardens below. The Garfield room has an indoor garden with many decorative plants. Design and Furnishings: 1) Don't let the pharmacy here fool you. Open the door and you can see minsu behind the hotel building, it feels like you have come to a completely different world! The stairs here are made of steel, and the landing of the stairs is made of glass, it feels like you have come to a fashion palace generally. And the whitewashed staircase leads to the room, surrounded by cute cat statues. 2) All rooms are very tastefully decorated with wooden neutral colours. The toilet here is a sleek glass cubicle with venetian shutters for privacy of course. Walls made of green mosaic tiles and marble floors form the toilet here. The shower room is sloped and very nicely carved - not a single drop of water from the shower area spilled into the toilet even though there was no entrance between the two areas. 3) There is also a dresser with an auto-retractable mirror on the dresser. The chair that goes with the dressing table is the only seating in the room. You can actually sit on the wooden floor, you don't need to have additional chairs and benches. Washing supplies: Towels for bathing and hand washing are provided, and there is a full set of washing supplies, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, razors, shower caps, and bottled shampoo and soap. Organic Lavender Hand Soap is really good. There are also two glasses for brushing your teeth. Other indoor equipment: Provide two bottles of mineral water, two glasses (for drinking water), hair dryer, slippers, 32-inch flat-screen TV Public area: There is a small kitchen in the basement. There was a table for eight, a good quality coffee machine, a large fridge, and a washbasin with mugs, glasses, plates, and other cutlery. The theme here is - cats. In addition to those cat statues, there is a clock designed to look like a cat, and the toilet door is also themed with a cat seat, and there are other cats glancing at you where you are not expecting, and of course, those mugs There are also cats. Breakfast: The owner served us a very good western breakfast which consisted of toast, hamburger, eggs, potato salad, baked sweet potato with cheese and a slice of pear. In addition, brewed coffee and soy milk are provided. I feel like I am living in paradise! Cleanliness: Very clean, comparable to five-star hotels! Comfort: The room is very comfortable and tasteful. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable! Noise: Even though the hotel is right in front of the pharmacy, you can hardly hear anything. In fact, it was actually quite quiet, which was great. Management and service level: 1) Service - very good, very attentive! A) The welcome fruit served here is very fresh, and the tomato is sliced. B) We had requested that breakfast be served earlier as we had to catch a very early bus. The manager agreed despite our excessive requests, much earlier than the usual breakfast. C) When we came out for breakfast a bit later than we had requested, the owner asked if we wanted the toast reheated - very sweet indeed. 2) And the owner here also briefly described to us how to play in Sun Moon Lake. They also sell tickets for the ferry (on the lake, of course) and they're half the price! 3) They also recommended us two restaurants, just off the minsu. The food in the Sun Moon restaurant is really good, very tasty. The owner even gave us a 40% discount when we told them that we were a guest of Doris, who had previously recommended it to others. Reservation and Payment: Call or book by email. A 50% deposit is required upon confirmation. Deposit can be paid via paypal. It will be refunded to you in cash when you check out. Comparison: Living in Doris House will give you a feeling of home, because you can communicate directly with the owner, first of all, you can see how she lives and how she does business - you can learn about the life of the owner, and at the same time understand Learn about ********* culture. The delicious homemade breakfast here is amazing! Will definitely come here again in the future!

GGuest UserLocation is super convenient, barely 50m from the 7-eleven and SML's Nantou Bus Ticketing counter where Nantou Bus 6670 from Taichung drop passengers. The ground floor of the B&B is a elegantly decorated tea-shop and had a pleasant whiff of red-dates chinese tea, very welcoming on a hot day. Our room was nicely renovated, very cosy and clean, well laid out, with Taiwan cable channels and Youtube smart TV box. It has modern toilet fittings and very refreshing lightly scented shampoo and body wash in dispensers. The lady at the counter (小芸) was absolutely helpful. She sold us discounted ferry tickets compared to buying from the counters at the pier, explained activities to do and places to visit and boat/bus routes around SML when we arrived and gave us a WhatsApp to contact her for any queries. She also advised us to visit Itashao to taste the street foods for lunch and recommend places for dinner through WhatsApp after returning to Shiushe without pushing us to visit the restaurants nor buy tea from the shop. Truly warm ********* hospitality and the best part of staying in this B&B.

EETSSWhat a beautiful and cute little hotel! The front desk folks will make you feel at home with their happy hour that runs in the evening, with warm dishes and a full spread of finger food, hot drinks and other nice tidbits. The cute little cats are all around the place as well. The night view on the front porch of the hotel is one to remember for a long time. There's a couple of nice town centres and shopping mall (very small-town-ish, so don't expect big malls). We'd love to come here again.

RRobertoGreat things have been said by other reviewers about Yue Lake and I totally agree, but I'd like to mention how wonderful the staff here is! I left my AirPods in our room and the staff was quick to notify Trip.com about it. Since we were already back in Taichung at this point, the staff went out of their way to ship my AirPods to my location. They made it so easy and never made me feel like they were doing me a favor when they were in fact doing me such a huge favor. Thank you, Yue Lake! You've guys made me fall in love with Taiwan more. I'm definitely staying here again when I'm back in Yuchi.

JJiayiiiiiVery pretty villa! Was a bit of a walk from the nearest bus stop as it is quite deep in, but the views from the villa were terrific. At night the host conducted a brief lesson about the stars in the sky and taught us how to see the Big Dipper and the North Star. Very beautiful! We were lucky that we stayed 2 nights as the first night the sky was too cloudy so there were no stars to be seen. Managed to spot them on our second night there.

GGuest UserThe superior double room on the 3rd floor is in the middle of the building. There are 2 TVs in total. The B&B also has a capsule coffee machine. The balcony has a beautiful view. If you want to drink coffee in the morning and take photos, go into the room and close the doors and windows tightly. There are non-toxic drugs on the mountain. Ji Da Xing Chun Xiang, you must wear slippers in the bathroom, they are slippery, and there is a warning to bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush. Breakfast is a buffet, mostly Chinese style. The fried cabbage is great. Children love the spicy fried instant noodles. The American coffee is also good and not too light. It is a 6-minute drive from Cingjing Farm and a 5-minute walk from 7-11. The location is good. The only drawback is that the sound of pulling out a chair in each room can be heard clearly, but there is no sound of speech.

JJack Maa”For Non-Drivers: Navigating Transportation Can Be Tricky, but Exceptional Service and Spectacular Views Await” If you don't have access to a car, be prepared for a few transportation challenges. Walking to and from the bus stop to Cing Jing Farm can be a bit challenging, as there are no dedicated pedestrian pathways, and you'll be sharing the road with trucks and lorries. The nearest 711 convenience store is a considerable distance away, and I wouldn't recommend walking there due to safety concerns. On the plus side, the hotel's customer service is exceptional, particularly their prompt responses on LINE. They were incredibly helpful in answering my questions about navigating the sometimes confusing public transport system. One of the standout features is the breathtaking view from the balcony. On clear days, you can enjoy unforgettable sunsets, making it a fantastic spot to relax. While some guests have mentioned concerns about sound insulation, I personally didn't find it to be a major issue. However, it's worth noting that noise from neighboring rooms, especially if there are children, maybe more noticeable due to the wooden floors.
