In my room the A\C didn't work, the wc room was so small that i couldn't fit in (i'm184 and very slim), the aeration system didn't work inside the bathroom and one light was flickering, the room was dirty and you could hear every single words that my room neighbours were saying, you could hear also every drop of piss they had. I went to the concierge and he Immediately changed my room with a smile, he did the right thing with the right attitude. The new room was better but still dirty (the cleaning lady skipped twice in a week the cleaning) and kind of outdated. The position of hotel is perfect but from my point of view the pricing is out of this world for this kind of structure. Thank you again to all the hotel staff for their kindness.

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. The whole experience was superb. Everything was perfect. The location, the room was veryyy big, everything was very clean and tidy. The location is central, you can go on foot to Lafayette or take the metro which is literally outside the hotel. MUST: Go for breakfast or late night desert at La creme which is on the right side of the hotel!!! Dont take hotel breakfast you will not need it!

Decided to book a last minute trip to Paris & my partner had booked this hotel as part of a package. Upon searching the hotel, I was very skeptical how this hotel would be and had very low standards of arriving due to all the reviews I’d read. The room & hotel were clean and tidy, staff are lovely and nothing was a hassle for them, breakfast was brought out quickly and re-filled if finished! Only downfall being how tiny the bathroom is, quite a struggle getting round about everything in the bathroom as it’s all packed in so tightly & the mattress was a bit uncomfortable, but that bit wasn’t too much of a bother to me as the pillows made up for it! Two stars knocked off primarily for the size of bathroom and mattress but can’t grumble too much due to the price paid! Still very happy and satisfied with our stay.

Stay away!!!!! HOTEL HORROR!!!! This hotel is in the middle of renovations and to walk up and down the stairs they have plastic and it smells. The stairs are very narrow. They have to remove the ladder and tools for you to be able to walk. The paint is still fresh and while holding onto the staircase the paints goes on your hands. The lift is so small it only holds 2 people if you’re lucky. The rooms are so tiny, it’s hard to open up your suitcase. There is no cupboard space, only a small open shelving unit. There is a desk with a chair but I had to take the chair out to make more room. There is no room to put toiletries. The top sheet of the bed had a cigarette burn and there are stains on the sheets. The tv is tiny and only in French. There is no air conditioner or heater in the room. Walls are so thin we could hear conversations in the next room when they were on the phone. The reception staff are not very friendly neither are the cleaning staff. No fridge or kettle, toaster NOTHING!!!! Internet is only available in the reception area but keeps dropping out. Breakfast is very plain and when we went to try it out there were no tables to sit so we had to go out to buy breakfast. I called days earlier for an early check In and arrived at hotel at 10 after a long flight but upon arrival rooms weren’t ready. They told us to come back at 12.30. Normal check in was 2pm. We decided might as well wait till 2 instead of paying for early check in just for an hour and a half. I wouldn’t even classify this hotel 2 stars, more like .05 cause it’s better than being on the streets.

I have quite honestly never stayed in a more friendly hotel the staff were, without exception, amazing. They couldn’t do enough to help and every one we encountered was lovely and incredibly helpful. The hotel is well located away from the madding crowd but within a few steps of bars, restaurants and the hustle and bustle of central Paris. I needed a room with three single beds which many hotels don’t offer but this one does. The room was large (originally 2 rooms maybe) - with windows to the front and back of the property and a large bathroom. The room and bathroom were immaculate and nicely furnished, the bathroom was like new. The beds are really comfortable, we all commented on them, and we all slept well. All rooms are accessible by the spiral staircase but there is also a small lift. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would go back. The Wi-Fi was great, and tv channels plentiful. We didn’t make use of the in-house breakfast preferring to make the best use of the beautiful weather and eating outside.

The hotel is convenient to the subway station, but the room is relatively small. I was charged one night's city tax for the first night's stay. After communication, it was solved. The hotel has no spare parts to bring. The room was small and cramped, no photos tight. But this is in Paris, and overall I am satisfied. The host is also friendly. The location is still good. It is often safe to return to the hotel late.

I stayed in a large single room on the 4th floor. Comfy bed, great bathroom, good layout with thoughtful touches like USB ports in the lights by the bed. The staff is incredibly helpful and all seem to speak English. The location is great as it's a true Parisian neighborhood with excellent restaurants, patisserie's, bars, etc., close to the metro making exploring the city easy. The one downside is that my floor had several small rooms which may have been carved up from larger ones as the walls were paper thin. I'd just come in off the redeye from NYC and for the two nights I stayed there, I could hear TV's, loud conversations and general noise way past midnight. I ran into four men in their 20s when I arrived at my room whom I suspect were the culprits. I may've just had bad luck and it's very likely that the larger rooms on other floors don't have this issue but if you're not a night owl or traveling on business, be aware.

We had a wonderful stay! Karen, at check/in was so friendly and helpful. The room was very quiet, all facing a courtyard without street noise. The room was spacious for Europe, and had a kettle and minibar. We appreciated the free drinks in the room. Loved that we could take our pass to all other Astotle Hotels while we were out to access their free drinks and snacks. Love this boutique brand. Reminds me of what Kimpton was before IHG.
