Hotels near Orchid Thai Beauty in Paris

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. Paris is a land of money and accommodation. Accommodation is really expensive. The hostel is not big and the elevator is small. The corridor is narrow. Breakfast is six euros, bread milk milk water butter jam coffee juice. The room was ok, the most unbearable thing was that the blankets were really dirty. I do n’t know who came up with the idea of using a blanket. You do n’t know how to wash such a thick thing after using it. I found at least a dozen hairs of different lengths and colors on my blanket. Really. Disgusting to me, unbelievable. The brother at the front desk had a very good service attitude and asked if he could change to a blanket. He gave me another bed very refreshingly, but the result was still dirty, and a lot of hair stuck to it. Finally, helplessly asked for a sheet to cover the body. Fortunately, it only took two nights. There are many Asian restaurants, supermarkets, and bakeries downstairs. It is convenient to buy things. I even bought a bottle of 0.8 Euro mineral water.

Great little hotel, convenient for Gare du Nord and other metro stations. Room was spotlessly clean, really spacious for the 4 of us, with the kids beds behind a partition. Reception staff were very helpful. A special mention to the ladies looking after breakfast who were very helpful with my questions about allergies and the food, they showed me the packet of the thing I asked about so I could check for myself. That was really important for me and they were kind and patient about it. Thank you.

Good location for the cost, easy to get to from CDG, close to the Opera and 2 other metro stations to explore. The room is a bit small, but comfortable. I would improve the ventilation in the bathroom.

Me and my friend booked three nights here over the weekend. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful during our stay. Breakfast was as described (a simple continental). Good wifi was available, room was a decent size, bed was comfy, good shower water pressure although it was slightly too short for anyone over 5’6 but we coped. Cleaner came every day but did leave the window wide open and we were on the first floor facing the front so not quite safe. Area itself is nice in the day but at night we felt unsafe as two young women so opted to stay at the hotel as it got dark. During most of our stay, electricity was fine but twice it did go out in the plug sockets for a few minutes so we couldn’t charge or use any appliances. Overall, we got what we paid for and it was a good budget holiday and would recommend if you’re not looking to spend loads.

Very charming hostel in the midst of Montmartre, at the foot of Sacre Cœur. The personnel speak French as well as English and are very helpful. There are both single rooms and dormitory and a small kitchen if you want to cook. A special secret is the outside terrasse on the first floor for both a calm breakfast and for meeting other guests in the evening!

Absolutely perfect- beyond perfect! I cried when we left. We’ve been to Paris a few times and stayed in the area, and love it, but this was our first time with kids. We had ‘The Room’ that is used on the photos and it really really is like that. That view! The place had a great vibe, with staff and other guests being warm and welcoming. We loved the shared fridge and kitchen- perfect for our kids who will only eat cereal for breakfast! The location is perfect. Right next to a lovely play area for kids, Anvers metro station is outside and the Sunday street market that filled then boulevard was great! The room was lovely- very nicely decorated and the kids loved the bunbeds. Loved sitting on our little balcony and enjoying that view. I can’t even write how perfect our stay was. I’ve never seen Paris look so beautiful and we can’t wait to return.

The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the nearest metro station Cadet. There are small supermarkets, restaurants, community parks and so on. The area is located between the 9th and 10th districts of Paris, a relatively safe area. It is ideally located within 3-4 stops of the main attractions and shopping venues such as the Paris Opera, Lafayette, Paris Spring, and the Louvre. 1, room facilities are standard, the shower of the bathtub is no fixed on the wall, the whole process requires a shower. This time we were given a room with a small terrace facing the street. In addition to the occasional noise from the passing vehicles on the street, the lighting is very good. 2, the hotel front desk staff is more nice, proactively provide Wi-Fi information and detailed answers to relevant questions. 3. If the check-out is earlier and the time is more abundant, you can store your luggage at the hotel reception. The only downside is that there is no “luggage tag number” for the baggage, and the guest pushes the baggage into the storage room and picks up the baggage when it is time to claim it (all depending on the consciousness). There may be cases where you take the wrong thing and take the wrong baggage. In short, the hotel as a whole is very good. I will choose this hotel next time I go to Paris.

I stayed in a large single room on the 4th floor. Comfy bed, great bathroom, good layout with thoughtful touches like USB ports in the lights by the bed. The staff is incredibly helpful and all seem to speak English. The location is great as it's a true Parisian neighborhood with excellent restaurants, patisserie's, bars, etc., close to the metro making exploring the city easy. The one downside is that my floor had several small rooms which may have been carved up from larger ones as the walls were paper thin. I'd just come in off the redeye from NYC and for the two nights I stayed there, I could hear TV's, loud conversations and general noise way past midnight. I ran into four men in their 20s when I arrived at my room whom I suspect were the culprits. I may've just had bad luck and it's very likely that the larger rooms on other floors don't have this issue but if you're not a night owl or traveling on business, be aware.

Decided to book a last minute trip to Paris & my partner had booked this hotel as part of a package. Upon searching the hotel, I was very skeptical how this hotel would be and had very low standards of arriving due to all the reviews I’d read. The room & hotel were clean and tidy, staff are lovely and nothing was a hassle for them, breakfast was brought out quickly and re-filled if finished! Only downfall being how tiny the bathroom is, quite a struggle getting round about everything in the bathroom as it’s all packed in so tightly & the mattress was a bit uncomfortable, but that bit wasn’t too much of a bother to me as the pillows made up for it! Two stars knocked off primarily for the size of bathroom and mattress but can’t grumble too much due to the price paid! Still very happy and satisfied with our stay.
