Hotels near Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus in Phuket

If you're only staying in Phuket a couple of days, this hotel is satisfactory. It's quite close to the beach and shopping if you need to buy anything. There are two important things to note: 1) There is a 1,000 Baht deposit you have to pay upon check in. You get the deposit back when you check out. 2) The address/name on the site does not take you to the hotel. The hotel is the ICheck Inn Chill Patong and the address is 18 / 1Rat-u-thit ,200 pee road, kathu, Phuket, 83150, Thailand.

It was really close to Patong Beach hub. My only complains are for the breakfast. There were lots of Chinese foods and very few other options. Only one type of cheese. And the worst part was the coffee ☕️. It was terrible, at least for me. I noticed some guests brought their own coffee with them to the restaurant. Another thing that bugged me was the pool hours. The pool was closed after 7, which was exactly the time I wanted to use the pool. All in all, it was a good hotel.

Хороший отель, близкое расположение к пляжу, ночному рынку и знаменитой улице Бангла Роуд, рядом много обменников, если пройтись можно всегда найти выгодный курс. Так же рядом супермаркеты и обычные лавки с фруктами. Залог можно оставить, как в местной валюте, так и в долларах, евро и рублях (5000 руб.) Персонал на ресепшне не очень общительный, по-русски не говорит, только на английском. Брали номер + завтрак, завтраки однотипные день от дня, но всегда есть яичница и фрукты, за что большой плюс. Есть приятный бассейн, если в самую жару не хочется идти на пляж. Номер на попался простенький, но уютный. Фен, чайник, сейф есть. Уборка была каждый день, с мытьём полов. Только один раз нам не поставили воду. В целом все ок.

The hotel is so good! The room was big and clean. Cleaning every day. So close to the beach! Just cross the road and here you are. Breakfast was amazing! Really a lot if different food, so everybody can choose what they like. Wifi was workinv in the room in a good way! Tv as well! On the roof the swimming pools were working, but one area was closed. Maybe that area opens only for high season. But without that area it was still great! Definitely will come back here one day 😁😁 The only minus was that on balcony our clothes were not drying at all, cause the window was small and it was going inside (between the 2 hotel buildings) and there was a roof between the buildings, so, there was no any ventilation. So, the clothes were getting smelly instead of drying. 🤦🏼♀️ But there are other areas with opened balconies, so, maybe in those rooms there is no such a problem.

Nice hotel tucked away from busy bustling part of Phuket. Shuttle service is provided to bring guests out to beach or boat avenue. There's a few nice cafes and restaurant around boat avenue areas. Staff are attentive and always helpful to provide guidance on where to go, what to do. Definitely worth coming back for another stay :) Special call-out to some of the hotel staff - Kig on her friendliness, Cee for his great recommendation for local cuisine and Tangkwa, Big, Num, Baitoey for showing great hospitality. They simply and always put customers in their thoughts and ensured we have a great stay! Thanks for making this a memorable trip for me.

I'm ****, I should have read the opinions before booking. Wifi is not always available and the opinions have pointed to this problem. What is disgusting is that the staff led us on board and MENTI for several days pretending a momentary decrease of the network or then rain time!!! ??? This place is just... WOW!!!! Loved every moment of our stay. The Location- Very conveniently located in kata, close to everything. You can easily walk to the beach but the resort offers a free shuttle hourly. Outside the resort there are multiple places to eat and the night market is an easy stroll away. The phuket smart bus and blue bus stop which is a cheap alternative to taxis and tuk tuks is literally down the road. The Food- The breakfast buffet was amazing and was charged at 250bht when we checked in but when we checked out we were told it was 350. This was the only disappointment as it was written in the room that it was 250 and we were told verbally. So I suggest if it's not included in your room rate you need to double check you sign the paper when you arrive at breakfast. However there are many food options so close and super cheap cocktails everywhere! Go down the street there is a little open bar and the guy there is really friendly and makes amazing drinks for only 100bht. The room- we stayed in the barray villa and oh man this was an outstanding experience. Yes it wasn't the cheapest but it was worth every cent. No pictures can do it justice. If you need want a cheaper option then the pool access rooms looked great and the canal in front of the rooms made for an excellent night swim when it was all lit up. I really loved Sawasdee and Kata, I regretted moving on to patong because in all honestly I hated patong! It was way to crowed and full of creeps. Just a very sleazy place and everything cost more. You yourself a favour and book your stay at Sawasdee!! You won't regret it 😁

Stayed for 8 nights in this hotel with my wife. Excellent hotel overall. Very clean indeed, staff very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They open doors for you as you enter reception, take you bags to your room, help sort car / moped hire etc, The room was very clean and well appointed. Bath and beach towels are provided and they change these as frequently a you need. They also provide all the usual essentials including shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper, bottled water every day. Kettle, hob, large sink and basic utensils, glasses, cups etc were all provided. Also an iron and ironing board as well as a clothes drying stand. The big kitchen sink is easily bug enough to do clothes washing in. Room service was excellent each day. Balcony size on normal rooms was slightly small, especially as was shared with two large air conditioning units (all balconies appear the same) so this made the balcony cramped, noisy and hot when air conditioning was on. Breakfast was provided in the adjoining restaurant. This was excellent offering fresh hot and cold food, eggs made to your liking (fried, scrambled, omelettes, etc), bacon, sausages, fruit, bread, croissants, etc etc. Seemed to have everything included plentiful supply of juices, coffee, tea, etc. Most things self-service but the staff were on hand to help and to clear used dished. The location of the hotel means it is a 15 minute to the beach and 15 minutes to the main restaurant area known as Boat Avenue. Fortunately the hotel runs a shuttle bus service twice an hour to both locations and back until 9.10pm. Would be nice if slightly later coming back from Boat Avenue, but taxis and tuk-tuks were on hand although these aren't the cheapest. The main local beach is Bang Tao beach. This is lovely. Very clean (as everywhere seems to be here), soft white sand, gentle shelving into the water with no stones or rocks. Shame about sea lice the bite / sting in the water but they are everywhere in this part of the world depending on time of year and they are a very minor irritation. Also good availability of sun-beds as well as beverages from the beach shacks. Lots of fresh water showers and there is parking next to the beach as well as toilets. Boat Avenue has plenty of nice restaurants - see my other reviews if you want to see where we went and what we thoughts. Lots to choose from. Most restaurants seem to slow down food service after 9.30pm and this is not a clubby resort. Was just right for us though as there were plenty of bars and some with live music (check out The Mexican bar and restaurant). Wine is not cheap here and starts around £30 a bottle - although some could be found around £25. We stuck to beer with dinner. There is also a handy large supermarket selling everything you could need and is right by taxi station and open until 10pm. Final top tip about this area is to visit on a Friday night if you can as the street market is great with street food and live music. Easy to hire cars and

The room is clean, comfortable, soft pillows, a little hard mattress. The bathroom has no door. If going with friends, it will be a little embarrassed. There is no refrigerator in the room. The maid is lovely, greeted, smiling, a comfortable and friendly hotel.

We stayed 3 nights and paid approx £62/night - pool access room. Check in was easy and our room was ready even though we were a few hours early. We had a pool access room so expected it to be located on the ground floor, however, it was actually on the 1st floor which required 2 flights of stairs to be climbed - no good if you are unable to do this. Access to the room from reception is down in a lift through an underground carpark and up 2 flights, its a bit of a trek!! The room was great though! Nice comfy bed and good shower. Outside deck had 2 loungers. You share the pool with 5 other rooms but we always had it to ourselves! The water was a good temperature, we enjoyed it a lot! The location of the hotel is 2 minutes' walk to bars and restaurants, 5 minutes to the main area with lots of nicer bars and eateries. The room was them clean and new towels and bedding each day, we really don't like this. We'd rather keep until we request a change. 4 bottles of complimentary water each day was excellent. Our only concerns with the room area is the lack of a net curtain/privacy glass on the windows. The view is lovely but you need to keep the curtains closed and the ledge at the staircase. The ledge sticks out a lot and hubby, nearly 6ft, banged his head a few times. We'd stay again and would recommend.
