The service of this resort is very bad. Staffs were not accommodating and the room is not well maintained. My room had a used towel hanging in the shower and the water for taking a shower is almost nothing. There were no kettle for hotwater and the coffee mugs are dirty like theres some sand and dust inside the mug. Worst of all we requested for a service going to the airport and the next day they said there was no booking. Staffs were not friendly at all especially the ones on the restaurant. Management needs to look at the resort on how it is being maintained. I will not recommend staying here, better to look at other resorts were they have excellent customer service.

A really, really bad hotel
The most common twin room costs more than 800, while the same room type in Coco next door costs more than 600. The facilities, environment, service and breakfast are very different. Coco is still a recommended resort with all the food, drinks and entertainment services.
1. The room furnishings are old and the bathroom is small and broken.
2. Is there a layer of dust or sand on the sheets and pillows?
3. The towel used for bathing is also dusty. After wiping your hands with the towel and then skin care, it will feel grainy. Do you understand?
4. There are very few breakfast varieties and they are unpalatable. I am not full.
5. There is also dust on the cabinets
6. The air conditioner faces the bed and the sound insulation is poor.
7. The service staff are indifferent, except for the front desk receptionist, there is no smiling face
As for watching the sunset, you can watch the sunset from any beach on half of the island. It does not have a unique or excellent perspective.
It is a hotel that really has no merit in the overall evaluation. If you compare it with the price, it is not worth it. It is full of dust.

We got a room in a cute little cottage. Everything was clean and the resort had a nice ambiance. The resort offers immediate beach access and a nice pool, including sitting opportunities on both. During low tide it's possible to walk out further and find out what is hiding in the mud and shallow water. Sadly it's impossible not to notice the plastic that gets flushed to the beach. The restaurant was wonderful and the food and drinks were excellent. The staff were nice and when we had to leave early on our last day they agreed to make us breakfast before the time the restaurant usually opens. Generally a very good experience, including Siquijor itself. The island can be explored within a day, we had a tour guide (from Dumaguete) who showed us around. My favorites included the Balete tree, Cambugahay Falls and the underground cave.

We stayed for four nights at White Villas and would have happily stayed longer. The rooms are comfortable and tidy. Of the four hotels we stayed at in the Philippines, this was easily the best mattress. The pool is lovely and has a great view of the beach. The beach is not suitable for swimming as the water is extremely shallow and at low tide a lot of rocks are exposed; however, the beach has soft white sand with towering palm trees and is great for a beach walk. The location is very good for access to other restaurants and shops. I cannot say enough about how helpful the staff at White Villas was! They helped us book a tour, ferry tickets, and tricycles. They lent us a sewing kit one evening to repair a minor tear, and were incredibly accommodating all around. The one drawback was that the food was just ok. Breakfast was plentiful but average, and the lunch/dinner menu items were underwhelming. Better food would have earned White Villas five stars.
Response from Property: Dear Guests, Thank you for the feedback. Well noted. There are many good restaurants nearby and it is sometimes hard to match, although we have many good dishes as well :-) Greetings, White Villas Resort

A small but welcoming resort with lovely spacious “beach villas” that had plenty of room for our family of four (ours had two large doubles and a single bed in it), and other room types available. It has its own section of the white sandy beach with hammocks, loungers and table seating all next to a lovely open air restaurant and reasonable sized pool. The bathroom in our villa was a little tired and the shower wasn’t great but it’s very clean and supplied with towels and toiletries. The food was okay, breakfast didn’t have a huge range but enough to keep us going for the 3 nights we were there, and the dinner menu was reasonable too and food was tasty. Not everything was always available but there are other eateries around so it’s ok if you don’t mind a short venture out too. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and you could tell they wanted to make our stay as lovely as possible. The one thing that was a little annoying at times was the resort next door and the neighbours playing music at a level that clashed with the restaurant music. Maybe because it was Christmas everyone was playing music but it got a bit much at times. There were signs up in White Villas asking to keep the noise down and respect the neighbours. I wonder if the neighbours needed a few of those signs too…!
Response from Property: Dear Guests, Thank you for the detailed review. Much appreciated. Christmas and New Year is traditionally a lively and noisy time in the Philippines, for good and bad ;-) Greetings, White Villas Resort

Let's start with the fact that I arrived at the hotel at 6 in the evening and stood for ten minutes in front of an empty reception desk. One of the workers came and took a photo of my driver's license on his phone (it is not clear why) it should be printed on a printer and not be circulated on the employees' phones. They brought me up to a room that looked fine and then they told me that this is my room. Suddenly, I see a chameleon so I asked him to throw it out of the room, and he didn't quite understand the propose of the request and squinted his eyes. After that I suddenly noticed that there were mosquitoes and flying insects all over the room and I saw 3 more chameleons. At this moment I informed him that I will not sleep in this room so he turned on a fan and tried to chase them away. He said that the guest who was before did not close the windows and that is why this is the case. When I entered the room everything was closed, either the cleaner who was cleaning didn't really clean or he just lied. After that they transferred me to the villa because it was the only room that was available. After talking to some woman on the phone she said something to them and they took me out of the villa with my luggage and told me that there is no room available, and that they would take the chameleons out of the room. Of course I didn't agree because you can't really trust them that they will clean the room from chameleon. I moved to another hotel for a lot of money because they didn't leave me a choice and they didn't solve my problem. After I spoke with Agoda, that was the one that help me. Agoda brought me a partial refund for the booking. Because the hotel simply did not agree to give me refund on the grounds that it was a last minute cancellation!!! even though they did nothing to help me. If all this is not enough while I was sitting in front of them and looking for another hotel they was laughing in Filipino. The guard (the oldest of them) said to me what are you from Israel? So are you Jewish? Jewish? I didn't understand how all this was relevant to the conversation and why it makes him laugh but it was very humiliating. Four people laughing at me and I’m alone and no one trying to help. The photos and videos appear on Google for all those interested. If you want a hotel that does not treat its guests and degrading them, go there. you have been warned!
Response from Property: Dear Guest, Sorry to read of your experience. Please allow us to clarify a few things, not to excuse but to clarify. Many of our staff will not fully know the meaning of 'Jewish', or have an opinion about Jews. Filipinos - like many other southeast asians - often smile and laugh in uncomfortable situations, or when feeling uneasy, uncertain, shy. It does not mean that they are laughing at others, or trying to humiliate. As visitors we can easily misread such behaviours, such cultural cues. Also, they would not lie. The former guest left the windows open, and our cleaning staff then closed them when doing the housekeeping and preparing the room for the next guest early in the afternoon. And by the way, the small geckoes are absolutely harmless and eat flying insects. Hope you nevertheless had a pleasant stay in Siquijor. Best regards, White Villas Resort

Unfortunately we never made it to the hotel due to a dramatic personal situation. However, we want to write this review to thanks Jens and Edna for their help and understanding when we had to cancel our booking last minute. We hope to come back in the future and be able to thank you in person! ❤️
Response from Property: You are most welcome! Hope to see you in future.

where do i start... well when we got to WHITE VILLAS we were quite early so we were hoping we could check in early. As Liz one of the resort managers approached us we were told that there was a problem with our booking. Instead of making us wait they served us breakfast as we wer waiting for the booking to be sorted out. Because of the long wait they were kind enough to give us breakfast for free and lunch which was a kind gesture. After our breakfast they brought us to our room which was super clean and quite spacious, but then the AC wasn't getting cold, so as soon as we mentioned this to Liz they acted on it right away and transferred us to a superior room again no questions asked and made us stay the night. The next day they said if AC wasn't working they were to transfer us to another room which was fine coz it was beach front and even if it wasn't it was ok because they really went out of their way to make us feel comfy AND breakfast ended up being free during our whole stay. They really have amazing customer service and they really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, very solution oriented. Food is good, service is amazing, staff is very helpful and cheerful at all times. I would totally recommend this place if you were to travel to Siquijor. I would go back if i could in a heartbeat. Thank you Liz and to the whole staff of WHITE VILLAS.
Response from Property: Dear Guests, Thank you for the feedback and understanding. We will share the compliments with staff. After two years of standby during the pandemic we are now seeing a rapid return of guests which is great. We are encountering a few issues such as air-conditioners that need repair and luckily we have good service providers so it is easily done. PS: Early check-in around 1-2pm is possible if the room is available and has been thoroughly cleaned and aired. We need to keep sufficient time between guests. Greetings, White Villas Resort

This was a very good decision we made bec this was our first time so we had to rely on the reviews on Agoda. We arrived and checked in but then the receptionist said that the room we chose was not available despite us specifically requesting a queen bed and not 2 single beds. The other thing is our aircon was busted so we had to move again to another room then the next day we had to move back again to our original room. This was a hassle but the staff Liz was very apologetic and they went way above and beyond to fix the problems we encountered. They were so helpful and very nice. They even gave us complimentary bfast for our duration of stay which we found really great. We will definitely come back here for sure. Resort was clean. Rooms are cleaned daily and the staff are very attentive and very friendly. Great location too. White sand beach. Near all the major restos. I would’ve given the resort 5 stars but i just have some minor complaints which I will write below. Cons- if you’re going to book the standard rooms at the back building make sure you’re on the 2nd floor. We were very unlucky to have noisey neighbors above us. A group of ladies who were very loud and very disrespectful of other people. They kept stomping on the floor and kept moving furnitures late at night and very early in the morning. Didn’t really have a decent sleep for a few days. Our last day same problem again with the new customers. I guess the floor are thin so if someone walks around you can really hear it. So make sure to stay in the 2nd floor. But overall we had a great time here. We will definitely book again here. Thank you again for taking care of us. Their scooter are cheap too.

Response from Property: Dear Guests, Thank you for the extensive feedback and compliments to staff. Apologies for the room mix up, but glad it got sorted out to your satisfaction. We were busy and fully booked around Easter so there was extra pressure on staff and rooms. A couple of aircons have needed repair after the pandemic but are now fixed. Guests are always welcome to ask our staff to help talk to noisy neighbors. We will be very happy to see you back again. Greetings, White Villas Resort

A beautiful little complex by the sea. The little paradise is very clean and well-kept. It was very quiet in the pool and also in the beach area. The restaurant offers a lot of good food and grilled fish. The cocktails are great and cheap. The sea is very shallow and not deep.

I stayed at the White Villas Resort for 4 nights with a friend and my 11-month-old son. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The complex was very nice and clean. The rooms and the food were also very good. At breakfast you can get as much coffee and tea as you want. Fresh fruit is available and as much bread, jam and butter as you want. You can also order something separately from around 8 dishes (pancakes, French toast, omelette, etc.) The location of the hotel is also perfect for exploring the whole island from there. We did a tricycle tour around the whole island, had a really nice driver and paid 1700 pesos for it. The only negative point is that you can't actually go into the sea there because it's low tide and everything is muddy and you would have to walk forever to get into the sea. The pool made up for it all. And for those who are light sleepers, the rooms are very thin :) The sunset from there is amazing!
