Ramada by Wyndham Belfast City Centre

Cathedral Quarter Belfast
We stayed here for the weekend of our wedding anniversary and it was a lovely hotel. From the minute we set foot at reception, we found the staff to be efficient and friendly. The hotel has a nice bar area too and its about a 2 minute walk from all the attractions of the cathedral quarter. The standard room was great. It was Clean, modern and quiet. All the usual hotel things like tv, en-suite (which again was clean and the shower was great). Our room was at the back of the hotel and while not a fantastic view, it was nice to see the H&W cranes in the distance and despite a busy road outside and a railway line, the noise was minimal. Breakfast was nice although the only option for the eggs were scrambled, however im sure if I'd asked they'd have done me a poached or fried egg. Its a buffet style breakfast and if I have only one criticism, its that it wasnt topped up as well as it could be. The staples like bacon etc were topped up, but pastries and the continental selection were kind of sp**** and not topped up each morning we were there. That aside, there was plenty to eat and drink and a nice touch is the takeout cups. It meant I could take a coffee on my travels which is great and saves a few quid from the coffee shops etc. I look forward to returning to the Ramada again as it was a lovely experience. Thank you also for the voucher for a glass of wine free for my wife and I because it was our anniversary. That was a lovely touch.

+ The nearness of the airport and ferry The central and near restaurants and all the comforts The spacious and clean room The friendliness of the owners Bon wifi Climatisation that works well and quiet - The location it is quite noisy, noise from the road and especially dogs who swallow all night The gardens are not obscuring, a lot of light from the rise of the sun Mauvaise insonorization in the rooms, the noise of neighbors and the corridor No fridge or hairdryer in the room The hotel has no charm
Hotel Del Rio
4.4/526 Reviews
We originally booked our stay at Hotel Del Rio in February of 2020. Once Covid had everything shut down, the hotel graciously let us keep our booking for a future date. We were able to rebook our trip for March of 2021. The owner, Jim, Christine, and Katnie were very accommodating. Communication with them during the pandemic was easy and straight forward. Once we arrived, they greeted us promptly and were very friendly. Having been in such close communication with them over the previous year, it felt like we knew them already and they welcomed us like family. We opted for one of the un-airconditioned, thatch roofed huts. Our room was clean and comfortable. We did also have a small refrigerator that we used mostly for our bottled water that we bough daily. They do have air conditioned units available, also units with kitchenettes if that is what you are looking for. Even though we didn't have A/C, with the windows open, we got the nice ocean breeze and were never too warm while sleeping. The main palapa in the courtyard became our favorite place to sit and relax. We ate most of our meals there at the table. We loved that there are several local ”delis” just behind the hotel. The restaurants on the beach were great, but we liked the little hole in the wall places that the locals eat at. And they were much cheaper! The hotel has an amazing view of the ocean, from just about anywhere on the property. There is also easy access to the beach and swimming just across the street. Along with a dock overlooking the Caribbean with two Adirondack chairs at the end for enjoying the views. I would highly recommend Hotel Del Rio for anyone going to San Pedro. They are one of the few more authentic Belizean style hotels, and they will make your stay enjoyable! We can't wait to go back!!

If you're looking for an affordable place to stay in the heart of San Pedro, look no further! Staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Plus, they have the best pizza on the island! You can't beat that!
Ambergris Sunset Hotel

Stay here and you won’t regret it. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. You can contact him anytime with WhatsApp for any assistance. The property is small and very cute. We even got a free room upgrade because someone wanted to stay longer. The only thing I would mention is the neighbours dog barks a lot at night while they’re out and in the morning sometimes. The neighbour also collects bottles to recycle so that was quite loud outside the window in the mornings. There was also a strange “bathroom” smell at night that filled the room, but didn’t come from our room. Couldn’t figure out why or where it came from. Overall still very pleased with our experience and all the pros outweighs the tiny cons. The property is lovely and in a great location with complementary bikes to use for the day.
Mayan Princess Hotel

We were in San Ignacio when Hurricane Lisa decided to come toward Belize. We had a reservation at the Mayan Princess on Tuesday, all flights to Ambergris Caye stopped at 2pm on Tuesday and we had a 12:40 flight to the island. We had no idea what to do or where we would be safest. I called the Mayan Princess and spoke with Marla who tried to assist me and answer my questions to enable me to make the best decision while trying to predict the weather! lol Thankfully, we decided to continue with our plans and went to Ambergris Caye. This is this a nice little hotel where the rooms feel like a small condo and in it's in an excellent location to walk to everything, but the staff is the best part. Marla, Manny and the rest of the staff were so wonderful during what was a stressful time for us - being this was our first hurricane! lol They made sure we had plenty of water, a battery operated lantern and kept calling to check on us. We definitely felt well cared for during our stay and it lowered our stress level immensely! Thankfully, Lisa decided to spare Ambergris Caye but had she made things more difficult it is nice to know that the Mayan Princess has a generator so we would have still had water had the electricity gone out! Definitely recommend this hotel!
The Palms Oceanfront Suites
4.8/562 Reviews
Property was great. We received an unexpected upgrade to the 3rd floor with a gorgeous picture window view of the ocean. Office staff was available and great to work with. The housekeeping staff kept our space neat and clean for us. Other staff (security, pool cleaning, golf cart driver to water ferry) all super friendly and accommodating. We really liked this location because it allowed us the ability to walk to local eateries with good food. Ice-cream shop right across the street is a major plus as well. A super-market and souvenir shops are nearby as well. It is not necessary to rent a golf-cart when staying at The Palms. Thank you to the staff for a great stay!
