"When I went there, the swimming pool had just been completed and was comparable to a big hotel. The room was also very comfortable. There was a supermarket just down the alley, which was very convenient. There was also a kitchen. The entire hostel and restaurant are currently under renovation, but it does not affect the quality."

"We recently stayed at the Belize Budget Suites on Ambergris Caye. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The grounds were well kept and the ownership/staff were responsive and friendly. The location, as stated, in a residential community, was several miles from the frenetic nature of San Pedro, something we welcomed. Lucinda, Jose and Miriam were all friendly and run an excellent accommodation, beginning with emailing very complete and useful info. Rather than renting a golf cart, we used taxi services of Sponge---501-623-0692, who was wonderfully responsive, informative and accommodating, less the stress of downtown San Pedro golf cart "swarming" and parking."

"Five Stars at Tres Coco Home of The Dog Cafe, Tres Coco is a cool beachfront resort. It is a little older but very well maintained. Tres Coco is in a nice part of town where there is lots to do if you have a golf cart. The staff is so kind and efficient. It rained some days but they provided us with options for games and in room spa service. Plus the birthday room decor was sooooo lovely with fresh flowers. Our family loved it & Che (the cat) showed us love too each morning. We will return on our next trip for sure."

"From the start, the staff were excellent. They picked us up from the airport, welcomed us for the delicious rum punch and we were fortunate enough to get upgraded to a two bedroom suite that overlooked the pool and the beach. The rooms are spacious, bath products excellent but more importantly in the staff is incredibly accommodating, friendly, and professional.. I had forgotten my phone on the plane and they helped to arrange for transport and they picked it up while I was out on a snorkeling excursion. The daily happy hour with a great chance to try different rum concoctions and also meet other guests. We befriended two different families and end up going out to dinner with both of them over the course of a week. Another example of how the stuff are really concerned about their guests- one of the women had allergic reaction during a snorkel excursion and when she asked about drugstores, the staff went out to get Allegra and Benadryl for her at no extra charge. Will definitely be back! Location is very easy to get to water excursions, restaurants in San Pedro."

"This was my first time staying at a hostel and I was truly impressed by this place. I opted for a private room that saved me hundreds than if I would to book a stay at a resort or higher end hotel. The room was spacious for me and clean. The amenities were great too. They provide free, washer and dryer. All you need to do is purchase or bring your own detergent. The rooftop is a must see and has beautiful views overlooking the ocean. The location was perfect and right near the beautiful waters of San Pedro. Most places are within walking distance and renting. A golf cart is truly not necessary. Both of staff and the guests were extremely nice. The hotel provided communication daily on breakfast, tours and events. The main mode of communication was WhatsApp group. Which is helpful for those that travel solo, and are looking to meet other travelers.  I would 10/10 stay at Sandbar on my next visit to San Pedro!"

"The hotel is located right in front of a beautiful beach and has its own pier, snorkeling activities, restaurant, swimming pool, and they can also help book air tickets or subpoenas. It's really convenient! It is worth mentioning that when you get off the boat in San Pedro, there will be a hotel shuttle bus to pick you up. No special reservation is required. The hotel staff should be waiting for customers at the dock according to the arrival time of the boat!"

"My first time in Belize and everything was great! The hotel is centrally located and you can walk anywhere and we always felt safe. We were surrounded by restaurants, bars and night life! The only complaint I have is that you are not allowed to have guests at the hotel and the hotel keeps employees posted outside the main lobby that leads to the court yard where you enter your rooms."

"We were very happy with our stay at Hibisco Belize. The 2BR condo was lovely with an expansive view of the ocean and reef and we saw a full rainbow while having wine on the balcony. Especially liked being closer to the town and great restaurants, bars, groceries but tucked away in a peaceful area with hassle free parking and easy and safe access in and out of condo. A short cart ride from Hibisco we enjoyed sundown and croc sighting at The Purple Pelican and great seafood soup and drinks at Maxi’s and ceviche lunch at Wayo’s (two minute walk). Looking forward to next Belize experience and definitely will stay at Hibisco Belize again!"

"Review of Hotel del Rio, Belize I recently stayed at Hotel del Rio in Belize, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The location is perfect—right on the beach, offering breathtaking views, and close to numerous fantastic restaurants like Cool Beans, Palapa Bar, and Nutty Crab. Christine, the manager, was an incredible host. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a seamless stay. From helping us set up golf carts and arranging tours to providing excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities, she truly knows everything about the area. You could reach out to her at any time, and she’d respond promptly and helpfully. The hotel itself is charming, with a rustic vibe that fits perfectly with the beachside ambiance. Everything was spotless, from the bedsheets to the towels, and the attention to cleanliness was evident. The entire staff, including the security guard, was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The area around the hotel is safe and convenient, with plenty of dining options and easy access to the main attractions. Being right on Boca del Rio was such a bonus—it made exploring the town a breeze. If you’re looking for a clean, friendly, and perfectly located place to stay in Belize, I highly recommend Hotel del Rio. I can’t wait to return!"

"I am not going to be able to accurately describe how beautiful wonderful this place is. it is owned and operated by a solo female who has handcrafted, decorated, painted, created and designed each individual room. they’re absolutely stunning each suite offering It’s very unique experience. I was so excited to stay here. I specifically chose the camping suite because we were gonna be doing camping outdoors for the rest of the trip and I wanted to camp inside. The bed was the most comfortable bed I stayed in during my entire stay in Belize. The owner was very accommodating. I was able to arrange for a reputable golf cart company to meet us at the ferry dock prior to our arrival. The room was equipped with AC due to the location of this property. It was able to offer a very quiet stay among the local residence of the island instead of the hustle and bustle of the downtown life"

"Alaia Belize is a great hotel. Got the ocean view on the 4th floor in building 1. The view is magnificent. The food is great, the staff is awesome and the spa / fitness center is pretty nice too. There is a rooftop pool and after 5pm you'll get the best view of the sun setting. It is very clean and well kept here. Only 1 downside is that Alaia doesn't have a beach. Didn't bother me but if you're looking for a resort with a beach, then this isn't for you but if you're looking for great food and company, go ahead and book your stay here. You won't be disappointed."
