Sanya Hotels with Bars

The hotel room was spacious and neat. It had a bathtub, separate shower/toilet, a large closet with a safe, a mini fridge and some cups, which I really liked since I made my own breakfast. The sea view from the balcony combined with that of the hotel's infinity pool looked amazing! The hotel is only 15 minutes by walk away from the nearest beach and everything is relatively close. Since it was located on a hill with a long drive through... ordering things from meituan was really convenient. They even had a meituan locker where you can scan the code and collect your order! The front desk receptionist spoke proper English, was nice and attended to my needs. They also had a gym and restaurant. It's sad that they didn't have a laundry room since I stayed in Sanya for a week and wanted to do my laundry. Also the pool closes at 7h so at night you couldn't swim. But you could lay down and enjoy the fresh nightly breeze!

The JW Marriott Hotel Sanya is truly an exceptional place to stay. The hotel's location is superb, offering breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea. The rooms are spacious, elegantly decorated, and extremely comfortable. The service is top-notch. The staff is friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with any request. The facilities are excellent, including a beautiful swimming pool and a well-equipped fitness center. The dining options are diverse and delicious. We stayed in 4 different hotels during this vacation and Pullman Yalong was by far the most disappointing one, although to be honest part of it comes from expectations. Pullman Yalong is a decent 3-4 star hotel, whose main problem is that expectations associated with the brand make it seem to be something it is not. Chinese breakfast is actually quite decent and has a wide range including MaLaTang, if you are craving Western food though it probably isn't worth the price. They have a big sign near the lobby recommending that you should not bring delivery food to your room, due to health and safety reasons, but feel free to ignore that. We ordered both room service and outside delivery on several occasions and deliveries were definitely a better option. Plus there is a food court and a supermarket not far from the hotel. The pool is quite big and its lower section is well shaded as well which a plus. However it was a major disappointment that the slide was closed(long term) as well as the cool cave you might see on the hotel's photos. On top of that there are some downright ridiculous designs ideas including a horrible pool access and sharp edge stairs inside the pool. The beach in Yalong is all public, but the access to it is limited by occasional path between some of the front row resorts. What this means in practice is that you will have a bit of a walk having to go around Marriot in Pullman's case. The room was OK, even had a bath and a walk-in wardrobe. The high point was the balcony above the pool. Signs of disrepair are visible around the hotel, but to be honest this seems to be the Yalong/Sanya standard at least for the 4 star hotels we stayed in. Jacky, I hope I got the name right, who worked in the lobby/shuttle car was great though. Not because he spoke good English(which he did), but because he had a problem solving attitude and wasn't afraid to approach guests to offer help.

Let's start with the highlights: 1. Check in and check out smootly 2. Room spacious and clean 3. Breakfast is good and even with full hotel, table available (thumbs up for the management) 4. Pool area very nice, plenty of chairs to use 5. Restaurants and room service are good, pity that for dinner, available choice of BBQ area was very limited (hot pot although is a very traditional thing for Chinese, could also have a kind of Liaoning style BBQ which is totally beach highlight in any part of the world) 6. Coffee shop/bar very good 7. Cleanness of the room spot on, well done (my negative points will not come from the job made by housekeeping but for the orders they have from management) Not pleasant points: 1. No replacement of coffee/milk powder on room (it's a very cheap thing, even 2 Star hotels do that, shame on IHG) 2. No changing sheets, which i can understand in a 2/3 Star hotels but not on ones you spend more than ¥ 1.300.00/night again in my view shame on IHG with the lame excuse of environment. 3. Disposable slippers not replaced in my 4 days stay (again, even a 2/3 star hotels do that without asking for, saving little bucks is kind of lame) 4. Overall the place is kind of old, although not yet rundown, the hotel could do some kind of enhancement of exterior appearance special from swimming pool view, could be painted or washed, repair the parts broken, eliminate the metal green box on roof (of course i didn't take picture, it's an eyesore), in summary, a little effort for appearance and keep fresh and kind of exclusive (which you expect from a hotel that call themselves a resort) Do i come back? Sanya for sure, this hotel, probably not, although the staff are great, i just don't like to be in a place that i have to ask things when i paid for the service already. I'm a ihg member but i didn't book through their app, but in trip (as i found better price than their own app, just UNBELIVABLE) :)

The hotel itself is in the CBD of Sanya and a pretty good location. The room was quite nice, however it smelt pretty musky when I first moved in. Service was pretty excellent / proactive, I had lost a bag on my HSR and they managed to track it down for me. The most disappointing thing was that the manager tried to bribe me to write a good review.

Great stay. We booked 2 similar rooms but got a free upgrade for one of the rooms. The villa was awesome but the pool access room was also really nice, both had very easy and quick access to the beach and the staff was always kind and fast in helping us. From the stay to the buffet dinner and breakfast to the way the staff dealt with us made it a chill and relaxing trip. There were a bunch of activities we didn’t even get to do and still had lots of fun!

The first thing that attracted me to this hotel was the affordable prices compared to other nearby luxury hotels. It was definitely one of the better deals, and you get a very satisfactory stay in return. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful, including the front desk staff, bellhops, bartender, cleaning staff, waiters, and various other encountered staff (knowing a little Chinese helps). A staff member kept in contact with me through Wechat with its built-in translation tool, answering any questions, helping with any request, and making sure each day remained a satisfactory experience. I would like to give a special compliment to Zoey, the front desk staff member who was of great assistance; she deserves a promotion! Also, praise to the friendly and hardworking cleaning lady that is assigned to building 3, floor 5 (I don't know her name); she also deserves a bonus! The room itself is cozy, comfortable, and clean. Room service is smooth, it is very convenient to take care of any living necessities, and the pools and beach are a short walk away. There are no complaints that I have in regard to my stay. My biggest highlight is definitely the big bathtub! My only suggestion would be a single foldable lounge chair for the balcony, allowing for a person to lay down outside or for sunbathing, so it is not needed to always go to the public sunbathing areas.

I stayed at the Shangri-La Sanya to celebrate a friend’s birthday over the weekend. We booked the Club King Room which came with a lot of free activities and saved us a lot. Check in was smooth as I was helped By Guest Relations Supervisor, Dora and her colleague Nancy. They were kind, attentive and professional. The hotel has a mini supermarket in Building 1, which was nice. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel was incredible. I would suggest S.E.A restaurant it’s a Southeast Asian Restaurant. I feel the hotel failed my expectations in two area: 1. The spread offered at afternoon was limited and if you didn’t arrive on time you had to wait about 10-20 mins for the next batch of food to come out. 2. At Happy Hour in the club lounge, there was a few bottles of hard liquor, chilled prosecco and wine. However?l, once the bottle was empty it was replaced with another fresh bottle. Other than that, my friend and I had an amazing stay and was definitely worth it.

An excellent hotel located on the shore in a beautiful bay. The number of people on the beach is very small, which allows you to enjoy a relaxing swim in the sea. Good service, there are staff who speak English, which is very rare, there is also an employee at the reception who speaks Russian and helps resolve issues. The room is cleaned twice a day, they bring water, clean towels, make the bed, and carefully arrange all hygiene items. The breakfasts are excellent, good choice, variety of fruits and even delicious coffee. The children were delighted with the children's club, every day they asked to go there to play, where you can leave the child to play on their own (but from a certain age). Every day we went to Dadonghai Bay, a taxi cost 12-15 ¥, the ride took 5-8 minutes. I can confidently recommend the hotel, guests will definitely be satisfied.
