"The service was quite enthusiastic. The hotel's location is also pretty good; we ate at the mall next door for three days, which was very convenient. It would be even more convenient if traveling with parents. There was a slight issue with the room we checked into on the first day, but after contacting the hotel, they immediately upgraded us to a better room on the second day. Much appreciated!"

"Facilities: Dated, from 2018. Cleanliness: I stayed in the Ocean View Ambassador room, and the cleaning has been very satisfactory so far. Environment: It's a family-friendly place, so with lots of people, some noise is to be expected. Service: The front desk was initially standard, everything was prepared for two people. After hearing we were staying three nights and that it was my birthday tomorrow, they arranged for Patrick, our Trip.com butler. He provided a range of itinerary services, saying to just let him know if I had any requests and he would meet them. Atlantis was a bit lively. The executive level was very satisfying; afternoon tea was better than the evening. Replenishing food was much faster than at other hotels I've stayed at. Patrick really made guests feel at home with a few things. 🥹 Next time, I hope my member benefits upgrade me to a higher floor ocean view suite! It would be great to experience a few different suites, yay!"

"I did my research before coming, and a heated pool in winter is really important. The hotel doesn't have an indoor pool, but most of the outdoor pools are heated, and the kids' pool is even warmer. We spent all three days here swimming, although there aren't as many activities as in Wanning. Upon check-in, I proactively asked for coconuts, and they brought two. The butler was also very responsive to every request, and they even gave us a little lion plushie when we left. The hotel facilities are quite old, but still clean. Prices at the hotel are very high; the pet interaction and firefly viewing are all extra charges. The free kids' club is quite basic and small. Dining at the hotel is also expensive, but ordering delivery from nearby places is super convenient – everything can be delivered, and it's really cheap 😂"

"## Surrounded by Beauty I stayed for a whole week and didn't switch hotels! Next time I'm in Sanya, I'll definitely stay here again! The food was incredibly satisfying, restaurant-quality! Excellent value for money! This was my first time traveling with my 1.5-year-old twin babies, and the hotel offered plenty of activities. The hotel has direct access to the beach (pictures 4/14), something no other nearby hotels have! This is because the hotel specially renovated an underground passage to reach the beach! 【Bedding】The only minor downside was that the mattress was a little saggy, but considering the last renovation was in 2018, I'm still very happy with the price! I hope next time there will be value-added services like replacing them with Simmons mattresses!"

"The hotel offers beautiful views along the Dadonghai route; the waves aren't as rough as in Haitang Bay, and the sea is incredibly blue and crystal clear. The hotel amenities are very comprehensive, including its own small artificial beach and a rather large swimming pool. Breakfast was excellent, meeting and slightly exceeding five-star standards. The restaurant staff's service attitude was particularly good. The gym is open 24 hours; while not huge, it's well-equipped. The kids' club was the biggest highlight. Our 1.5-year-old baby had a great time. The indoor playground is more suitable for younger children, while the outdoor area is better for older kids. The room facilities are also very complete, with everything one could need, including baby food provided daily and the option to add a bed rail. Special mention goes to our butler, Abby, who was incredibly responsive and practically granted every request, perfectly meeting all our needs. Finally, a minor point for improvement would be some occasional overlooked spots in terms of hotel cleanliness, which could be strengthened. Also, the hotel's underground parking seemed to be under maintenance recently, making parking a bit difficult."

"We stayed in a panoramic room, and the space was both clean and generously sized. You definitely pay for the view, and in this case it’s worth it—the scenery from the room is truly marvellous. Most essentials were provided, and the hotel grounds include several conveniences such as on‑site restaurants, a Starbucks, and a small tuck shop. There were, however, a few areas where the experience could be improved. The swimming facilities were disappointing. Although two pools were technically operational, neither felt inviting or photo‑worthy. One had been converted into a sand pit, and temporary barriers were set up everywhere to block day visitors, which created an eye sore. Construction further took away from the atmosphere. Breakfast offered a decent selection and was sufficient overall, though friends who had visited before mentioned that the spread used to be better. After a few days, you’ll likely find yourself eating more or less the same items. Communication could also be smoother. Having at least one staff member who speaks English—or an alternative text‑based communication option—would make the stay easier for international guests. The Sky Lounge, however, was comfortable and a pleasant place to relax. Dining inside the hotel isn’t particularly affordable, but not too bad for a hotel, and I would have appreciated a stronger seafood selection. Many guests seemed to opt for food delivery instead. Small in‑room additions like earbuds, toothpicks, and a notepad would also elevate the experience. Overall, Phoenix Hotel Sanya offers beautiful views and convenient on‑site amenities, but there’s room for improvement in facilities, dining, and guest communication."

"The hotel was much bigger than I expected, and the upgrade to a large-angle sea view room was absolutely stunning. The beach across the street has very fine sand, and in the evening, you can enjoy the unique ambiance of the open-air bar. The two-bedroom, one-living room, two-bathroom, one-kitchen layout offered ample space, and they even provided complimentary fruit. Before check-in, there was a dedicated butler service that meticulously arranged everything for us, and any issues were resolved with a single message. The hotel's environment truly is second to none, with complete facilities and thoughtful touches like special baby meals, making it ideal for families with children. The pictures speak for themselves regarding the views, both day and night."
