I stay in this hostel every time I come to Shanghai. The concierge is very helpful. All of them are well trained and with full attention to detail. Very considerate staff and can easily adjust booking arrangements on the spot. There are plenty of restaurants around the area. A bit far to walk to the closest train station, but overall, The Bund and People's Square are a 10-15 minute ride by taxi.

Its proximity to famous restaurants, department stores, a charming bakery, and the convenience store, Family Mart, offered unparalleled accessibility, adding a layer of convenience to my stay. Restaurant is next to the hotel that we recommend. **Location:** The hotel's setting was a traveler's dream, situated within arm's reach of gastronomic delights and retail therapy. The nearby famous restaurants served delectable cuisines, the department store offered a diverse shopping experience, while the local bakery's aroma enticed passersby. The adjacent Family Mart catered to every immediate need, enhancing the convenience of our stay remarkably. **Bed Bug Incident:** Regrettably, the comfort of the stay was marred by an unexpected encounter with bed bugs. The discovery of these pests in the bed was disconcerting, causing a disruption in an otherwise pleasant experience. However, upon reporting the issue, the hotel promptly responded and took necessary measures, exemplifying their commitment to guest satisfaction. **Hotel Condition:** While the hotel bore the marks of age, it exuded a sense of cleanliness and maintenance. Its older structure, though showing signs of wear, possessed a charm that hinted at a bygone era. The cleanliness of the facilities was commendable, despite the evident antiquity of certain elements. **Recommendation:** In conclusion, despite the unfortunate encounter with bed bugs and the hotel's aged appearance, I would recommend this establishment. Its cleanliness, coupled with the prime location near renowned establishments, presents an attractive choice for travelers seeking convenience and accessibility. With improvements in pest control and perhaps some renovations to rejuvenate its aging infrastructure, this hotel has the potential to provide an exceptional stay experience.

I would say its okay to stay here. There are a lot of restaurants nearby which open all day and bikes in front of the hostel which you can scan and bike at any time. There is also a big shopping mall at the junction, just 200m from the hostel. However it seemed hard for me to book Didi(grab/uber in China) from a place to hostel especially at night. We had no choice to take a bus/subway or ride some times. Subway line 7 is close to the location and a bus top opposite to as well. You can take a ride to Jing’an temple near there just around 2km. The room was quite clean and we loved the bathroom very much. Just one thing is there was no wardrobe or closet, therefore we had to leave our cloths on the table/chair. Some complained at small beds however it was still good for me and my friend.

That's a great hotel in a nice area, full of restaurants and coffee shops. I always travel to Shanghai, and this hotel was the best one in terms of location, price, and all I needed as a solo traveler. There were nice and kind people at the reception. Delicious breakfast and such a beautiful lounge area on the first floor! Only the best impressions and the longest review I ever wrote. When I was checking out, it was raining, and they gave me an umbrella and even helped me with luggage. Probably that's not something they do all the time, but they were standing at the hotel entrance and just helped me in the moment. So kind!

Reception no speak English , hand signals and translators for communication.Room was average ok , clean , soap toiletries and linen bedding , towels clean and fresh. Lot of outdoor noises although it’s inward to main road. Next door , door closing and talks can hear walls are not completely sound proof , main doors when closed can hear banging noise. Reception area is dirty , lift needs to be cleaned , on an average scale of 1-10 i rate it at 4 , trip com should evaluate and not push these kind of offers to client , breakfast was completely awful and below standard of hygiene .

the most comfortable hotel and smart room , from bedroom, toilet, food, and all the staff very kind and help, from front staff, cleaning staff and others. surely I will come back also suggest friends and other families to stay here whenever have holiday in SH. please prepare front Staff who is able speak english. guest should maintenance your own cleanliness, otherwise they only help tidy up

Location and service of the staff were the selling point of this accomodation. Breakfast was decent. Lobby looked really modern. Rooms were spacious, but could do with a slight refresh (e.g exhaust fan in the bathroom could be stronger)

the hotel is very clean and comfortable, the breakfast has a lot of options. the staff are kind and Mrs. Jennifer served us very well! We recommend and will definitely return to the Holiday Inn Shanghai Vista

Really nice hotel. Great location and near a lot of attractions. I found value in staying here due to the convenience of near by attractions but I chose to eat outside of the hotel because the prices are high. The bar drinks were not good and made with very little alcohol and far too much ice. High price as well. There happened to be some famous actor staying at the hotel and security blocked access to a couple floors so I couldn't access the elevator to get to my room after check in so that was really annoying. Eventually I was able to get to the room and it was nice. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. A bit small but nice none the less.

Pleasant stay at this hotel :) Service was good & staff can converse in simple English too. Room was cosy and clean! Breakfast was very decent too. Definitely be coming back her to stay when I’m in Shanghai.
