In the sweltering summer, I booked a stay with my girlfriends on the 12th-floor Ritz-Carlton Ladies' Floor, which is exclusively designed for women. The entire floor has a warm and romantic theme, and upon entering the room, the gentle pink and blue color scheme truly delighted our 'middle-aged girl' hearts. There's a separate walk-in closet at the entrance, the bathroom has a bathtub 🛁, and the bedroom window offers views of old villas and lush plane trees, with distant skyscrapers beautifully contrasting with nearby vintage architecture. It was perfect for quietly enjoying a cup of tea or coffee 😎. The room is equipped with a coffee machine, though the capsule coffee ☕️ wasn't very good, which was a minor drawback. I hadn't done all my homework; the Ladies' Floor has an independent, exquisite, and comfortable complimentary lounge area for tea and coffee ☕️🫖 that we almost missed. I hope the front desk can kindly inform guests about this during check-in. Also, visiting Building No. 1 requires a reservation for specific time slots, and we missed out because we went at the wrong time and hadn't pre-booked. The room was clean and fresh, with all the amenities you could ask for: a fridge, air conditioning, washing machine, and hairdryer. The service was warm and friendly, and the location was excellent, making it easy to get around. Plus, the famous Wukang Building, a popular photo spot, is right downstairs. Highly recommended for travelers!

I've stayed at Blackstone many times, and every visit has been a very pleasant one. The service is excellent! William was incredibly thoughtful; when I mentioned not feeling well, he immediately brought cold medicine and warm water. My friend was also very satisfied. The area around the hotel is great for photos, and all the hotel amenities are clean and hygienic. All in all, it was a very comfortable and heartwarming trip.

We had such a wonderful stay! The place was incredibly cozy, clean, and felt like a home away from home. It had everything we needed, making our trip to Shanghai even more enjoyable. The host was exceptionally kind, responsive, and accommodating. They patiently answered all of our questions before and during our stay, and even generously allowed us a late check-out because we weren’t quite done with our shopping. That thoughtful gesture was truly appreciated and made our departure so much more convenient. The location is another huge plus—it’s close to all the shopping streets, restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and attractions you’ll want to experience in Shanghai. Getting around was easy, and everything we needed was within reach. We highly recommend staying here and would absolutely book this Airbnb again on our next trip to Shanghai!

As a returning guest, the service is consistently excellent. The room service staff are proactive in greeting you, making you feel like an old friend – very warm and welcoming. The security guards downstairs are very responsible, guiding parking even though the lot is small. Having someone direct you every step of the way makes you feel very safe. I come here often, so I forgot to take photos of the room, but here are a few shots of Shanghai street scenes instead.

This hotel is on the street and quite easy to find, although the entrance is a bit small. Honestly, the room is also quite small, but that's typical for this area and price. It was cleaned very well. The soundproofing could be better, but everything else was fine.

This was my second stay, and I've successfully recommended it to my friends too. The hotel has its own garden and is housed in a building from the last century. Despite its age, the hygiene is excellent. The only downside was the showerhead. It's very quiet and super close to Hengshan Road Metro Station. There are several restaurants and cafes nearby, so you could easily spend a leisurely day just exploring the vicinity. All in all, I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai.

Highly recommended 😍 Four years ago, I stumbled upon this hotel, thinking it was an art gallery... the artistic atmosphere was so strong. This time, I brought my kids, and it was still a beautiful experience. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and had a balcony with a stunning window view... It puts you in a good mood, whether it's rainy or sunny. The breakfast was abundant, with both Chinese and Western options, so much so that I couldn't try everything... The location is great, quiet yet close to all the action. You get an immersive experience of Shanghai life; you can get to almost anywhere you want within 10 minutes by subway, walking, or cycling. The front desk staff spoke so gently, fully showcasing the lovely softness of Wuyue speech... It was an exceptionally good trip, and I will definitely come again ❤️

Great value for money! Our flight got canceled due to Typhoon Bailu, so we had to stay an extra night. The host mentioned that many flights were grounded and couldn't reach Shanghai, which is why they had available rooms. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. I'll definitely bring my family here next time we travel. The room can sleep 4 people, making it excellent value.

My husband and I had a 9-night stay at this apartment and we are very happy with our choice. The place itself was very cosy, we loved the views and the washer/dryer machine worked perfectly. The location was one of our favourite features, with the best cafes and bakeries at under 5 minutes walking distance. Room cleaning was done under request, on the same day and we were never missing anything. We would stay at this apartment again if we revisit Shanghai!
