Guest UserI traveled alone. As a student, I always stay in hostels when I travel, and I've stayed in many different places, but this one is the best I've ever stayed in. The owners are incredibly kind, an elderly couple. I stayed for three days. One time, I saw the grandfather still explaining hiking routes to guests at midnight. On the morning of my hike, he even gave me a pair of gloves. The hostel has three floors, and the third floor has a pool table, which I played a game on that night. Before I left, the grandmother even called me back to give me a bottle of water. It really made me feel the warmth of home, even while traveling alone. However, I do have a small suggestion: the beds in the hostel shake slightly. I suggest putting a shoe rack outside the door, otherwise, it can get smelly after everyone takes their shoes off in the room. Personally, these are minor issues. I just hope this hostel continues to improve.

I highly recommend Futing B&B to anyone visiting Huashan!
1. We were a family of four, and it was hot, so we had a lot of laundry to do. The hostess provided us with a washing machine and laundry detergent for free. We hung our clothes out and went out to eat. It started raining midway, and the hostess even took the initiative to collect all our clothes! Love it!
2. Futing B&B is in a great location, only about 10 meters from the trailhead, and the free shuttle bus to the north or west is only a one-minute walk away! I contacted the hostess in advance to let her know the shuttle schedule, and she was spot on, waiting outside. As soon as we came out, she was there—great! Not only did it save us money on taxi fares, but it also saved us the hassle of having to find a taxi and having to haul our luggage around.
3. As soon as we checked in, the hostess gave each of us water, which quenched our thirst. Later, before climbing Huashan, I went to buy gloves, and the hostess generously said she'd give them to us without paying. I was delighted but also a bit worried. As the saying goes, a little kindness begets a grudge. I wondered if a guest might one day harbor resentment for not receiving the same treatment as I had. But the owner wasn't worried at all, working with sincerity and passion. This wasn't just magnanimity; it was also a display of courage.
On August 8th, we checked into the hotel, but that evening, Huashan officially announced its closure. So I refunded my August 9th Huashan tickets and planned to travel to Luoyang the next day. Later, the owner's wife told us that the park would most likely reopen on August 9th. She even helpfully booked tickets for us, telling us we could enter as long as we had tickets. We finally entered the park at 10 a.m. and returned to the B&B at 8 p.m., enjoying the breathtaking scenery of Huashan! (p2-p4) That evening, we were starving and struggling to find a good, reasonably priced restaurant. The owner readily accompanied us to a restaurant across the street, where we enjoyed a delicious meal. (p6)
There are many other small details, too numerous to mention. I believe these small details that make people feel so welcome are definitely because the proprietress is such a nice person, and when a nice person runs a restaurant, the quality is guaranteed to be excellent.
(Also: The last picture is the restaurant we found on our first day in Huashan. Don't eat there; the food is terrible and expensive!
If you have any questions, please ask the proprietress! She's trustworthy.)

The service was excellent. The aunt was also very nice. After checking in, she explained the route to Mount Huashan. She also told us that we could tell her in advance before going down the mountain so that she could help turn on the air conditioning in the room. The bed was very comfortable and it was a good sleep for those who are used to it. The toilet was a little small. Other services were very good.

Highly recommended this place, clean, convenient, convenient store just opposite, 1.2km walk from Huasan Bei train station.
We are couple from Bangkok and don’t speak Chinese, staffs are welcome us very warm. They are welling to help to book car to huashan mountain directly. Recommended us to take west side entrance. They are kind and helpful. We use WeChat to communicate which making staying here is very smooth.
Location is superb.

The house was great! The owner was wonderful! Our stay was also very pleasant! We booked two days and canceled one.
My excitement was spoiled by the Huashan Scenic Area.
I was passing by and wanted to check it out, but on the evening of March 31st, both the official customer service and the trailhead staff replied that the hiking trail was closed, with no announcement of when it would reopen...
April 1st, at noon! After driving for four hours, I received the news! The closure would be lifted on April 2nd... Are 5A scenic spots just that careless?

Guest UserWe stayed one night at Yuntai Villa on the North Peak of Mount Hua in a 16-bed dorm. The location is perfect if you want to catch both the sunrise and sunset. In our opinion, the view from the North Peak is actually the best, as you can clearly see the other three peaks (South, East, and West) rising around you. The accommodation itself was fine for the price—simple but much cheaper than the others on the mountain. Bathrooms are public, but for budget travelers it does the job. We arrived in the afternoon by cable car, watched the sunset, stayed overnight, and hiked to the other peaks the next morning before heading back to Xi’an. Note for other travelers: it took almost two hours from the West Peak cable car station to the high-speed train station—something we hadn’t expected.

AndelieAndrew0502The check-in for the capsule pods and the rooms are at Yingyang Cave (at the bottom of East Peak, next to Zhengxin Fried Chicken), not at Yaozifanshen on East Peak itself.
**Important Note!** In mid-June, you can't see the sunrise from Yingyang Cave. You'll need to climb to the top of East Peak beforehand.
There's a public restroom outside (hygiene is so-so). Inside the courtyard, there's running water and a hot water dispenser. In June, water is continuously available.
The room has four capsule pods. I recommend bringing disposable bedding as it can be a bit damp. Definitely bring earplugs and an eye mask. The capsule doors only have two panels and cannot close completely.
Inside the pod, the light, ventilation, and power outlet all work fine.
Don't expect too much when you're up on the mountain. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Perfect for staying on the mountain without over paying. Close to the East Peak for sunrise. Go in without expecting much. I stayed in the dormitory room (bring ear plugs). There are no amenities, although there is plenty of food and drinks nearby. Clean, comfortable, would stay again anytime.

The location is great — it’s the closest accommodation, about a 20-minute walk from the West Cable Car station.
The view is beautiful, and the room was clean.
However, there was no water provided at all.
The toilets were dirtier than the public ones around the mountain, and there were only two available.
It was difficult to change clothes, and I even had to buy bottled water just to wash my face.
The room arrangement was very poor.
As a solo female traveler, I was placed in a room with two men, even though there was another room full of women with available beds.
When I asked the female staff to change rooms, she refused.
I then asked the staff at the counter, who allowed me to move to the women’s room.
I understand it’s a mixed dorm, but placing one woman in a room with two men while there are open beds in a women’s room doesn’t make any sense and felt uncomfortable.
