PProJieLaLocated on a quiet side street in SanBao of Jingdezhen, this was a terrific place to stay. I arrived at night and my taxi didn't want to go down the side street. I called and a friendly gentleman came into the night to find me/lead me to the hotel. It's a very short walk to cafes and shops, or to catch the bus to go further into the SanBao valley. Also easy to walk, taxi out of the valley, to see the AAAAA Imperial Kiln Museum, etc. The hotel is very clean--the room, the dining area, the garden in back, the stairway. Breakfast was as fantastic as all other reviewers had said! She makes delicious breads, & there are fruits, seasonal veggies, etc, beautifully presented, too. The bedroom itself is very large for the price, as the hotel's photos show, and the bedding is of excellent quality. There is a small confy sofa, several small tables, drawers, and room screen to create more privacy if several people are traveling together. Plus, there are two racks for hanging your clothes. The bathroom/shower/sink area are all separated, so it is convenient for several people to use at once. Very good hot water and water pressure. I really loved staying at this clean, convenient hotel!

GGuest UserRun by a very nice couple with plenty of recommendations if you speak Chinese. The location is right off of the main drag and close to eateries. The room itself is clean and well-kempt. Only issue (and they're upfront about when you check in) is the bathroom door for the room we had doesn't close all the way. No problem for us as a couple. Note tatami is not actually tatami but a mattress that's on a platform as opposed to a bed frame. Very comfortable!

YYyyyyy..-The room was very soundproof, offering good privacy. The common area was spacious, and we sat together in the living room in the evening browsing the porcelain we had collected during the day—the atmosphere was fantastic. The location was also superb; it was very close to various attractions by taxi, and there were many authentic local restaurants nearby. This was exactly the kind of accommodation I'd ideally have for a trip!

GGuest UserThis guesthouse was truly fantastic! They even gave each of us a ceramic bracelet during check-in. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy, making me feel very comfortable. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and they thoughtfully provided disposable towels and other amenities, which was incredibly convenient for travelers.
The guesthouse owner was incredibly welcoming! She was very patient, providing everything from check-in instructions to recommendations for nearby locations. The biggest surprise was that she even guided us through a clay modeling session, giving us a fun DIY experience and adding a special memory to our trip.
The guesthouse environment was very quiet, with absolutely no noise at night, allowing me to get a wonderful night's sleep. Overall, it was a fantastic value-for-money stay, and I would definitely choose this place again!

TTrudsThis was a decent hostel for the price. Has a lot of rooms and room types and lots of space. The twin room was comfortable for two women to stay and also has air conditioning. The bathrooms were not so clean in my opinion and I wished that the hostel provided towels. They were also currently doing construction/repairs but didn’t really block this part of the hostel off from the areas where people were staying.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is full of character, spotlessly clean, fully equipped, and offers great convenience. A dedicated laundry room is a huge plus, allowing guests to do their own washing, and the special drying area means clothes dry incredibly fast. The landlady is incredibly warm, thoughtful, and provides exceptional service. Private underground parking is also a convenient feature. Its location is superb, right behind the Imperial Kiln Factory Ruins Park, and it's just a 10-15 minute stroll to the Taoyangli Scenic Area.

The proprietress is a local and super nice! ! There is no elevator in the hotel and she immediately moved our luggage up. The room was very spacious and hygienic, and there was a small yard. The only drawback was that there was no handheld shower head in the bathroom, only one above the head, but it was not a problem. ~
The landlady even gave us a small bracelet when we checked in! They did it themselves! They even gave us fried dough sticks and mochi the next day! delicious! ! Because we checked out very early the next day, we kept our luggage here for half a day. We will definitely stay here again next time😭
The hotel is very close to the Sculpture and Porcelain Factory. It only takes five minutes to walk there, and then you can go shopping like crazy! Overall, it was a very good experience ~ I wish the lady boss good health and a prosperous business! !

GGuest UserHighly recommend this hotel! The location is really amazing, just next to Taoxichuan in Jingdezhen, within walking distance, and it is also very close to the surrounding major attractions. It is super convenient and worry-free to travel.
The environment of the entire hotel park is clean and tidy, the care is particularly good, the overall atmosphere is very comfortable, there is a warm student apartment feeling, living easily and comfortable, the experience is full, next time you come to Jingdezhen will choose here!

When planning my trip to Jingdezhen, my expectation for accommodation was simply ”a clean bed would be fine,” until I stumbled upon ”Grassland Freedom Youth Hostel.” It completely reshaped my perception of hostels—this isn't just a place to settle for, but a delightful surprise that blends design, convenience, and a sense of community. Located in a modern building, the hostel's atmosphere upon entering is completely different from traditional hostels. The carefully designed warm lighting, the warm roselle tea offered by the receptionist during check-in, and the friendly introduction to the facilities on each floor—this meticulous care made me feel incredibly comfortable. The ”luxury” details far exceeded my expectations. ”Luxury” isn't about ostentatious displays of wealth, but rather the quality and thoughtfulness evident in every detail. I stayed in a four-person room, expecting typical metal bunk beds, but instead, I found custom-made solid wood beds—sturdy and quiet. The mattresses provided excellent support, and the high-thread-count cotton bedding resulted in a surprisingly good night's sleep. The individual lockers are equipped with electronic locks, providing a great sense of security. The bathroom is a highlight, with a thorough separation of wet and dry areas. The showerhead has strong and consistent water pressure, and it uses well-known brand toiletries—a rare detail in hostels. The most interesting aspect of this hostel is its interconnected micro-community. The second floor, where I stayed, is the vibrant hostel headquarters. Young people from all over the country spar in the communal kitchen and share their travel stories in the lounge area, creating a free and lively atmosphere. Just one floor up, on the third floor, is a professional foot massage parlor. After a long day exploring Taoxichuan and the Sculpture Porcelain Factory, my feet were exhausted. I could simply go up to the third floor for a professional massage and relaxation. The benchmark for quality in the entire building is the Intercity Hotel on the fourth floor. Out of curiosity, I went to check it out. Its decor, room amenities, and service level are comparable to a high-end business hotel, though a bit pricey at five or six hundred yuan a night. The tranquil atmosphere complements the lively second floor perfectly. The allure of ”Grassland Freedom” lies in its precise understanding of the core needs of modern young travelers: a desire for stylish and high-quality accommodations coupled with a down-to-earth social atmosphere and exceptional convenience. It uses the affordable prices of youth hostels as its entry point, yet offers experiential possibilities across multiple budgets. Whether you're a solo backpacker or a student seeking value, you can find your comfort zone in this unique building. It's more than just a hostel; it's a clever proposal for a travel lifestyle.
