22e2veThe environment here is truly amazing, with an atmosphere that brings a sense of peace. The room was spacious and clean, and the underfloor heating and radiators were incredibly effective! My absolute favorite was the tatami next to the bed; I dozed off there happily several times… it was so toasty. Of course, the bed itself was also very comfortable. Then, every morning when I woke up for breakfast, the responsible young man would softly and kindly ask what I'd like to eat and drink. Afterwards, the uncles and aunties in the kitchen would prepare it for you. It's all very home-style food, which is really comforting. Everyone here is so kind and friendly 🥹. Every day, I'd go 'bother' the golden retriever, 'Fugui,' who is super cute and affectionate. Playing with him for a bit before going to pottery class was also incredibly therapeutic. The late-night desserts were delicious too: peach gum stewed with white fungus, fresh milk taro balls with peach gum, purple sweet potato stewed with peach gum – a peach gum lover's dream! And the owner is super nice, oh my god… I had originally booked two nights at Wujing and one night at Wuji, but when I arrived, they actually upgraded us to three nights at Wujie! Ahhh, I'm so grateful 🥹. It was so comfortable that I ended up booking an extra night because I really didn't want to leave! I definitely want to come back next time I have a holiday!!!

The owner was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, always happy to help with anything. We had a really great stay.

BBeatingUpwindThe four days we spent at TaoYi ChangYang Hotel were one of the best parts of our 3 week trip to China. I honestly didn’t understand that the hotel was inside the bounds of Tao Yang Alley or even what Tao Yang Alley was all about. The alley and the hotel were spectacular. We had reserved room 13 but were upgraded to room 1 - a room that was 50% larger and usually bills for twice the price. It was an absolutely amazing room. If you’re thinking of booking at the hotel - a few things to know… First there are two parts to the hotel - a large, modern, western-style hotel and then impeccably restored rooms in old buildings adjacent to the modern part of the hotel. I highly recommend the old, restored rooms. Second, finding the hotel is tricky since its entrances (and exits) are unmarked. Tao Yang Alley is an old-style street layout which was meant to confuse invaders. In this case, you are the invader. However, once you do find the hotel, you’ll love it… And lastly there seem to be two other TaoYi hotels in Tao Yang Alley if you can’t find the type of room you’re looking for - try one of them.

AAnonymous UserMy stay in Jingdezhen was a delightful surprise, especially at the Chuan Shang Hang Hotel, which offered a serene and artistic ambiance. The hotel's architecture blended seamlessly with the natural landscape. Wooden corridors wound around preserved camphor trees, creating a tranquil 'coexistence with nature' feel through the interplay of light and shadow. The guest rooms were simply designed yet cozy. Large floor-to-ceiling windows brought the lush greenery and distant mountain views indoors, and the lounge chair on the balcony was perfect for an afternoon nap. The room's furnishings were also meticulously chosen; from the tea sets to the fruit platters, every detail showcased thoughtfulness. Furthermore, the hotel thoughtfully provided a personal photo shoot service, allowing guests to capture exclusive memories while enjoying the aesthetic design – a truly special touch.

Conveniently located in the bustling Sanbao street, eleme deliveries are also available and come right up to the room, the hot tub came with bath salts, mood lighting and really was worth every penny. Standout features: - Luxurious design - Exceptional bed and pillows, best sleep in months - Amazing hot tub - Good quality bath products and toiletries - Very cozy robes - Spacious room Few suggestions that could elevate this experience further: - The tv does not have GiTV it has CRTV so English entertainment is unavailable on the projector unless you mirror your device and use a Chinese streaming app. International apps are not compatible. - Room temp at night is quite warm since air conditioning is switched off during the winters, fans would be a relief - Would’ve loved some chocolate placed on pillows for a honey suite - The service is only in Chinese and restaurant closes at 4:30 pm unless you book a meal in advance - There is no dairy creamer with the coffee only milk available in the restaurant on 1F - Would’ve loved the projector in the hot tub area - Xiao Du only understands Chinese and most room commands need her assistance, inconvenient if someone doesn’t speak the language - Hard to find Didi Cabs to go anywhere but relatively easy to find cabs 2km away. (Very scenic walk or e-scooter) 10/10 recommended

TtorinessThis hotel is in a great spot, right next to the Taoyangli historical cultural park which is lovely to walk around and visit their museum. It’s also an easy didi ride from the airport and other major sights to see in Jingdezhen. The hotel itself is in a historical building so it is a little bit cold in the bedroom, mainly the floor is very cold so wear the slippers provided and turn the heat up as much as you can. The room fittings are modern and very nice. We had a lovely view from our room over the historical park. The breakfast is really excellent and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

TtravellerisThe Hyatt Place at Taoxichuan is great. I stayed here for four nights on a solo trip to explore Jingdezhen and I was very satisfied. The location was right across the street from the weekend evening market where I got some lovely ceramic pieces and enjoyed some nice local beer. Great lobby treats on sale too. I tried the ice cream and local beer. Highly recommend the JDZ stout and lager. Customer service was great and when I had a question about my laundry service (slight delay on the return of a jacket I needed to clean) they were prompt in following up and getting my clothes back. Flawless room, service, and location. Only things I would recommend as a possible change could be a smart toilet (not sure if it was due to my cheapest room choice or not) and maybe some limited edition items at the breakfast buffet to make things more exciting. Delicious food though, for multiple mornings that I tried it. Also, the commute/drive time to Sanbao Village could be updated because there is more traffic going into the village on that one lane drive now. I ended up walking into it and walking back to the hotel to get my steps. Highly recommend Hyatt Place Taoxichuan for a relaxing stay in Jingdezhen.

GGuest UserI don’t write reviews unless it’s extremely good or bad. This might be my worst hotel experience ever while traveling in China. I ended up switching hotels because of point 3. 1. I booked for a non-smoking and quite room, ended up with a room smells like cigarettes. You can tell my smelling the curtains and the room walls. After complained, they changed room for me. I can smell the cigarette the moment I walked in. Then I ask to change it again, they refused. They said that I can sleep here for the night then they’ll consider changing the room. 2. I found stains on the sheets and ask them to change sheets. It’s the night staff’s first day working, and she doesn’t know how to change the sheets and make the bed properly (untrained employee being put on a night shift the first day working). 3. Then, they contacted the manager and finally changed me to another room. The security person came up and delivered the new room key. Honestly, this is the main reason I decided to switch hotels. He asked me: “What problems do you have?” I felt threatened and not safe. I said, I just want to sleep in a non-smoking quiet room. I am the customer and I paid to stay here. Is that a problem? He laughed. The way he looked at me gave me chills. It’s not a security person, it’s literally a g***ster off the street. China is a safe country but not this hotel.

The breakfast noodles were authentic, and the lady at the front desk enthusiastically recommended a niche pottery workshop. The price is only a few hundred dollars, which is a great value. It feels like living in a friend's house.

GGuest UserThe owner is incredibly handsome! This guesthouse I booked for this trip truly exceeded my expectations; it's definitely the most satisfying place I've stayed in recently! The communication from the booking stage was exceptionally smooth. The owner responded promptly and patiently, not only sending detailed check-in instructions in advance but also thoughtfully providing information on nearby restaurants and transportation, which was incredibly helpful for someone visiting the city for the first time. The guesthouse's location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from the subway station. Supermarkets and restaurants are all nearby, making it easy to find food and get around. Stepping into the room was a pleasant surprise. The decor was simple yet cozy, with high-quality furnishings and thoughtful touches throughout. The room was spotless, the bedding and towels were clean and soft, with no unpleasant odors. The bathroom had a well-designed wet and dry separation, and the toiletries were complete and of good quality, easily comparable to a chain hotel. The most surprising thing was the amenities: high-speed Wi-Fi connected instantly without lag, there were plenty of TV channels, the air conditioning worked perfectly for both heating and cooling, and there was even a small refrigerator for storing fruit and drinks. The owner also provided complimentary bottled water, tea bags, and snacks—a thoughtful touch in every detail. The surrounding area was very quiet at night, resulting in excellent sleep quality. I woke up feeling refreshed the next day. The owner was also very efficient with check-out, without any unnecessary procedures. Overall, it offers excellent value for money and is perfect for couples, groups of friends, or solo travelers. I've already recommended this guesthouse to my friends, and I'll definitely choose it again next time!
