No need to wander around for local specialties or souvenirs; you can buy them at the homestay with a discount, offering excellent value for money. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and definitely recommended!

The hotel is new and beautifully maintained, with a modern and comfortable atmosphere. The staff at the reception were very friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. Its location is also great — just a short walk from the old village, which makes it perfect for exploring the area on foot. The only downside was the soundproofing of the rooms. You can hear people talking in the next room even when they speak quietly, and during our stay, we were woken up around 5 a.m. by someone loudly banging on the walls and shouting. Aside from that, everything else about the hotel was excellent, and it has a lot of potential if they improve the noise insulation.

It was an interesting place, in the old town. The trick is that receptionist is never there, so you have to call her, which can be a problem if you don't speak the language. But she was a nice lady. When I arrived at the entrance of the ancient city, she came to pick me up and even took me to the Jialing River to catch a taxi to the bus station. They offer discounted tickets for boat tours on the Jialing River. There's a shared kitchen, which is super convenient. In the evenings, I could stroll around the South and North Streets in my slippers.
