2-Star Hotels in Yanji

In my years of traveling worldwide this host is one of the best I've ever met. When he learnt that I had to rush to catch a high speed train right after check-in, he offered to drive me to the train station for free. Every morning he will voluntarily make me coffee and deliver it to my room. He and his wife don't just deliver service quality beyond expectation, they are also very polite and friendly. Upon checkouts they even walked me out the door to bid me farewell. The property name Enke means 'benefactor', and they truly treat their guests not just as commercial arrangements but as good friends who come to visit them. The room was also clean and well stocked with amenities. The location is fantastic, just 200m from the Web-famous Wall and night market, making it close enough for convenience and yet far enough for quietness. I will definitely recommend this property to anyone.

The location is fantastic, right outside West Market, so shopping is super convenient. Within a kilometer's walk, there are all sorts of must-try restaurants. I stayed for four days, and every day I'd eat my fill, walk back to sleep, and then head out again for more food. I only took a taxi to one scenic spot, the Folk Park, for photos; everything else was within walking distance. Service: Absolutely outstanding! It's actually ruined me a bit; now when I travel to other cities and people are less attentive, I feel a little disappointed. They even do your laundry, drying and folding it for you in the laundry room – that service truly amazed me. You'll never have the problem of washing machines being full because previous guests haven't collected their clothes. I'm quite forgetful and often had to bother the front desk and cleaning staff, but they never seemed annoyed. The other day, I thought I'd lost my thermal underwear and then a sock. The front desk immediately offered to check the surveillance footage, but I decided it wasn't worth the trouble. Later, I found the sock in another bag (it wouldn't fit in the first two bags I'd taken), and the thermal underwear was rolled up with my other clothes. Then, I lost half an earbud while sleeping, and the cleaning staff helped me find it and even changed the linens 😭 I was so touched! 🥹 I want to recommend this place to everyone visiting Yanji! They're super quick with delivering water, tissues, and other items to the room, and changing the linens is handled incredibly fast too!

The room was clean and hygienic, very close to all the surrounding commercial areas, and there were many great food options nearby. On the first floor, there's free coffee and a Korean ethnic clothing experience. For extended stays, they offer room cleaning, which was a nice touch. Overall, my experience was excellent! 👍🏻

The young ladies at the front desk were very serious and enthusiastic, and they chose a very quiet room. The room is just a few minutes' walk from the river. We enjoyed the scenery on our way to Duan Bridge, and it felt like no time at all. The hotel front desk recommended a restaurant nearby, and the food there was delicious.

I came to Yanji on a business trip. I booked a large bed online by myself. The room is close to the community and is very nice. The room is clean and tidy. Breakfast is Korean soup and rice. There are so many delicious foods in Yanji. It is really good to see the Internet celebrity wall at night. Check in. A must-go. His home is very close to these check-in points. I had a great time in Yánjí since I planned a lot of border excursions. I can speak both Korean and Chinese comfortably to navigate this region, which is also known as the Third Korea. The location of this place was great since it was in the city center across from Yanji University. (I was assigned room 1206.) I'm not sure which photos they're using for advertising, but my room looked far more beat up and outdated. I also killed a lot of small cockroaches that were roaming around the kitchenette area. Again, this was not a big deal for me since they weren't ginormous, but one huge cockroach did appear one day near the bathroom. It's one thing for the room to look somewhat different from the advertised photos, but please at least keep the space much cleaner. (The laundry machine was bonus, but I had to buy laundry soap next door at the convenience store. This should have been provided considering there was an empty soap box on the floor next to the machine.) The reason why I booked this place was to do frequent laundry rather than stay at a hotel... I traveled from NYC, so it wasn't like I was an average Chinese tourist from a domestic region. This was my first visit to China since 1996.05 and I used my 10-year China visa for the first time since I applied back in 2017.08. Note: I checked out the other rooms on the floor and they were much nicer than what I booked. I'm guessing those were listed on WeChat and the less attractive rooms are listed on here, etc. After I checked out by 12:00 noon, I stored my luggage next door at the convenience store for a few hours. They charged CN¥5/per hour… I paid CN¥15 since I knew 3 hours was all I needed before my flight.

I chose this hostel for my solo trip, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The 8-person male dorm was very clean, the beds were tidy, and the common areas were well-maintained with no unpleasant smells. All the facilities were new, and the rooftop terrace was a major highlight—a great place to enjoy the breeze and atmosphere. The owner was very friendly and responsive to any issues. The location was convenient, and the value for money was excellent. It's perfect for solo travelers, and I felt very comfortable and confident staying there. I would definitely consider staying here again next time.
