Excellent place, 5 minutes walk to the car and waiting for the train station. Also 5 minutes to the center, supermarket in the neighboring house. The overall bathroom was always absolutely clean. The room worked air conditioner, clean and good bed linen. Friendly and attentive host

The facilities were good and the hostel provided a fridge, stoves and cooking utensils. The room and the toilets were most of the time clean. Each was provided with one big locker. You can use the washing machine for 4 Euro and hang the clothes in the balcony. One major problem was sound insulation. The windows could not be completely closed and the room was facing a busy street. It was particularly busy during weekends as the cars and motorbikes might turn up music when they were driving late at night.

Location surrounding is crap. I went by navigator with a suitcase from central railway station about 15 min because the roads are not for suitcases, cracked pavement everywhere. It’s better to take a car or tram 1 for 2 stops from railway. It’s really apartment in a crap residential building. 3rd floor (like 4tth) without a lift with narrow stairs with no lighting in the evening. You don’t see where insert 3 keys in locks (3doors to enter). My room faced the noisy busy road. There 2 rooms inside, looks nice, no microwave, but clean. Area looks dangerous in the evening. Owner lady is nice and helpful. She tries to do her best!

The airport bus went to Piliteama for 10 minutes. It was very easy to find. It was a bit hard to enter the door. I didn’t respond to ringing the doorbell and calling. In the end, there was a little brother who came out and I could enter the door. 😅 The accommodation is on the second floor. It is very convenient to enter the accommodation door with a password. The owner is just there. If the English is not smooth, I will communicate with the translation software. Lady on the desk was very nice although we were charged $24 Aud per night extra for a cleaning fee that was not disclosed when we booked. We had no idea why we were charged this fee upon arrival. They should be more transparent with the costs. Although we paid for breakfast it was not available as the cafe they used was closed for the holidays & we were not offered any alternative so more money wasted.

Der Service war sehr gut. Das Badezimmer könnte säuberer sein. Jeden Tag wird das Bett gemacht, außer man möchte es nicht. Das Frühstück ist italienisch mit 2 Croissants und 2 Süßstückchen und einem kleinen Brötchen. Es gibt verschiedene Marmeladen sowie Saft und verschiedene Kaffeevarianten aus der Kaffeemaschine. Das Zimmer hatte alles was man braucht sowie ausreichend Platz für eine Person. Es gibt eine Klimaanlage und man hat einen Gemeinschaftsbalkon mit Aussicht auf die Chiesa del Carmine Maggiore und den Ballaro market.
