2-Star Hotels in New Orleans

A great stay at the Brakeman Hotel. Staff super friendly and helpful. Gets a bit busy with the events venue on the 4th floor - but that’s not a negative, just an observation. Great location, would stay agin for sure.

From checking in to checking out the staff was excellent. The room was beautiful and clean. All the amenities you need was there. I would give the highest star, wil visit again great location.

Beds, restroom and kitchen are all clean, I even see the staff cleaned for the day I stayed(only one night) People also friendly and very energetic Plan come again if back NOLA Volunteers do the day check in from 9-5 There is an after hour instructions if you are outside that time

Great hotel to stay in New Orleans. Close enough to walk to restaurants, bars etc but away from the noise. We loved having a verandah but so hot. If you like to sit out on a balcony, use second floor as third had no shade or covering when it rains. Great rooms and plenty of space. No elevator, to floors if you don’t like lugging your luggage around.

The environment is good, the service is very good, there is no breakfast, there is a small kitchen in the room, you can cook for yourself, free parking, it takes about 20 minutes to drive to the French Quarter.

Great staff,check in was simple not hard at all,a little rough around edges ,but stay was pleasant,shopping places are near,lots of food eating places that are close,plus an Walmart less than an half of mile walking distance #oldgentilly

Do not expect a five star stay at that historical place - expect a decent hotel, with one or other ”discrepancies”. The staff was at the check in and on the check out - verry verry friendly, already given some informations, about places to go and what is not worth to go. The room cleaness - was okay - the Hotel itself, they know, that they cannot - and i think they don´t want to match with big groups. A big advantage is a free parking space at the road, the Hotel itself, was quiet during night! Close to the Hotel - there is a starbucks coffee for breakfast . All in All - if you want to stay - as it was in former times - stay there.

The location is perfect for my early morning appointments. I liked that it had a refrigerator, stove and microwave. The rooms are roomy. Staff is friendly and informative. Close to highway and down town. It's good for the price. Wish I had taken pictures of the room.

The price of this hotel is relatively high, about 15 minutes drive from the city, but don't stay on holidays or weekends. The price of my stay on Saturday is double that of Monday (¥530 and ¥1100)

Hotel was pretty nice. Nice location with plenty of restaurants and corner stores in walking distance. Staff is excellent. My microwave wasn’t working so receptionist moved me and my friend to another room asap. Would definitely recommend.
