GGuest UserHotel was clean, people were friendly, not to far from tower etc pictures made hotel room look bigger than it is, it's very small. I paid for bed and breakfast, if I knew what breakfast would be like I would have skipped it. U get small chopped tomatoes from tin which aren't even hot, would have prefers a real tomato. You get a small bowl of beans which is about a table spoon worth. The fried bread isn't even 1 slice or half a slice it's quarter slice . And 1 hash brown. Toast was cold aswell. Small glass of orange juice and coffee. Out of all that I drank orange and coffee and 1 slice of toast , couldn't eat rest. Others may find it ok but wasn't for me Tv wasn't working and could only connect to WiFi in reception area. Staff were lovely though .

GGuest UserHotel staff, facilities, food, swimming pools and entertainment were brilliant. Everything was presented really nicely in the foyer/reception area. The bedroom and carpets were really tired, however, and need a revamp to match the quality hotel foyer. We found the mattresses uncomfortably soft and didn't sleep well, so assume these were old too. A really mixed experience, but on balance the positive outweighed the negatives. The staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Highly recommend getting tram passes on app. before you arrive as need proof of children's DOB from passport or birth certificate. The tram stop is really conveniently opposite the hotel. Excellent reliable service :-)

GGuest UserA stay to remember… for better and worse I’ll start with the highlight: the staff at Blue Waters Hotel were absolutely exceptional. Warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly—they made me feel like I’d wandered into a live episode of Fawlty Towers, minus the chaos. Their charm and effort were the saving grace of my stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is in serious need of TLC. My room’s curtains detached dramatically and collapsed to the floor, leaving my window fully exposed to the car park and main street. Not ideal—especially with a rather sad pile of rubbish lingering in the corner outside. The leisure facilities didn’t fare much better. The pool was cloudy and didn’t feel well maintained, and the sauna was out of order during my visit. A shame, as I’d been looking forward to a relaxing dip. Dinner was, frankly, disappointing. We ordered roasted pork, which arrived cold, and the vegetables were so overcooked they seemed to have time-traveled from the previous night’s menu. Breakfast offered a decent variety, but the quality was just about passable. In short: brilliant staff, but the hotel itself needs a refresh—both in decor and dining. If you’re coming for the laughs and location, you might enjoy it. If you’re after comfort and cuisine, you may want to look elsewhere.

GGuest UserWas fine up until me and my partner came back from a gig, around 22:45, and found ourselves fully locked out for a good 20 minutes, had to have the security officer from next door to call the worker at the President to open the door. Nothing, not so much as an apology, for leaving us out in the cold.

GGuest UserThe Norbrek Castle must have been lavish and upmarket in it's day but sadly looks sad and depressed now. However, we knew this when we booked and opted for it because of it's good points, the location is good with bus and tram stops outside, there is plenty of parking with an assured chance of finding a space if you take the car out and return, the room was as clean as it is possible to clean an old property with clean bedding and towels, the breakfast is basic but again satisfactory and the staff helpful and friendly. We did not, on this occasion use the pool or any of the entertainment facilities. All in all an ok choice for a couple of nights as somewhere simply to sleep

GGuest UserLift wasnt working.bar and games room wasnt open..looks very tatty and run down from the outside..have 2 pay £15 2 park ur car outside the hotel which is part of the hotel grounds so bit unfair 2bh..run down furniture.need 2 get a window cleaner as dirty windows.haf 2 pay £60 deposit incase u took anything home or damaged it(her words)but 2bh their wasnt anything in the worth that amount of money.plus all she did was complain about other guests 2 u which is very professional at all.not enough plugs.no hair dryer or iron in room.plus so need 2 get fans in rooms as was way 2 hot and didn't have any 2 offer us.best party about the room was the view(just shame about dirty windows).

TTheresaBeds were comfy, rooms were clean and provided towels, tea, coffee, sugar cups too Great price for what was a nice quiet hotel situated in the south if you prefer quiet nights, we got the tram down to the north part which stopped right outside hotel, Choice of breakfasts from full English to cereals, tea etc, only problem was we got asked what time we would like breakfast when we checked in fir our weekend stay but wasn't given a menu which we didn't know what was available in restaurant until we went down in morningwe did tell them we didn't want the full English the following morning just toast which wasn't mentioned to the chef, but lucky he hadn't started it wen we went down, maybe suggest they do a list on night where we can say what we would like in morning, but overall nice hotel for the price we paid

GGuest UserDecent hotel for the price. Isn't the cleanest hotel but sort of acceptable. Would recommend to those looking for a cheap stay but if you have a little extra budget then better off spending the little extra for something better. Was allowed to check out later than usual which was very beneficial to get a little extra sleep in after enjoying the night out.
