GGuest UserWhen | booked this room in the description was the word 'accessable' was in the description, this means it is a wheelchair accessable room, I, by lack of a correct description booked this room, as all of these rooms are right by reception I did not get a good nights sleep, too many people in and out at all hours, I had asked for a quiet room, I was told that if I wanted to change rooms I would have to pay an extra £5.00, this I agreed to, unfortunatly there were no other rooms available, when I asked why the room had not been described at wheelchair accessable which I would not have book as I am not disabled and would not book that room as a genuine disabled person may have wanted it. I was told it was down to political correctness. Woke rubbish strikes again, for goodness sake it is what it is, its wheelchair accessable, as I misunderstood the description so could a genuine disabled person and would possibly not have booked this room thinking it didn't have the right facilities in it!!
GGuest UserIt is a minute walk from the train station. It is easy to find. I never thought that I could rent a large room, oversized bathroom and oversized bed at this price. It is quite comfortable and comfortable. Try breakfast. It is more expensive than 1 and a half times outside the street, but it is more free. No one greets you. All self-serve themselves, the restaurant staff is very polite and kind, except the restaurant manager
KKa FeiTrip.com messed up our booking, indicated that I booked a family room but in fact they got me a 2 single bed room, which wasn’t great for my family of 3. Premier Inn Solihull tried their best to accommodate by getting us a room with a queen bed and a sofa bed. Well done 👍
GGuest UserThe hotel was simple and clean. The room had a double and two singles as booked. The water was hot and there was plenty of it. The road was a bit noisy outside our window but no plane noise to keep us awake.
I was very disappointed that despite being an airport hotel there is no shuttle between the hotel and the departure terminal UNLESS you book car parking at car park 7 specifically.
Therefore I had to book a taxi to take me to departures at £15 one way for a 2 mile trip at 5am.
This left me a 10minute walk outside the terminal, though I could have paid drop off parking charges to get closer.
Apparently this is a new issue between the airport and Travelodge.
If I had known this at the time I would not have been so keen on the Travelodge price (which on its own was very reasonable) but needs to have a £20 supplement for travel to the airport added.
GGuest UserVery warm welcome and everything as it should be. Swift service both at the hotel and Beefeater next door. Good location for motorway but it’s not in Solihull- it’s in Shirley which is a distance from Solihull itself. No problem to us though.
AAnonymous UserThe location of the hotel is not very convenient. There are no good transportation facilities, supermarkets and restaurants in the surrounding area. You need to walk for a while to reach the bus station and restaurants. The hotel's front desk clerk was very nice, but the hotel did not provide comprehensive equipment, such as slippers and hairdryers.
