Manor Hotel Solihull, BW Signature Collection ★★★★
"Lots of space, clean and a very comfy bed but the hotel was tired, small holes in the wall not patched, etc. Also a THIRTY pound fee for a dog."
Travelodge Birmingham Airport ★★★
"Rooms & food great Location. Says on the hotel description a 5 minute walk to the airport. This is untrue. Its a 45 minute walk as you have to walk round the outside of the carpark. You can only use the free bus if you park in the carpark. Had to get a taxi which was a few minutes drive and cost £20:20. So misleading."
Arden Hotel and Leisure Club ★★★
"Fantastic time esp the pool"
Ibis Birmingham Airport - NEC ★★★
"Great location over the road from airport departures"
Village Hotel Solihull ★★★★
"Please avoid this hotel if you are visiting the area. I am unsure of where to start here, so I will go in order of severity. 1. The rooms are disgustingly dirty. Upon entering the room, it was clear to us that the carpet and bedding was not clean. I went to sit in the chair by the window, and it was sticky. Upon lifting up the cushion, there was moulding food waste underneath. Perhaps the bathroom would be better? No, there were stains all over the bathroom, and it was apparent the towels weren’t clean. So much so, they will irritate your skin. Shower? No, leaked through the night and the bathroom didn’t drain. Toilet? No, the seat was falling off. Common areas? I saw drinks and cups left by the lift for 3 days. 2. Service - I went down to complain about the above items, and was told by reception that they would write my complaints down and ask the manager to call me. They never wrote my complaints down, and I never heard from the manager. I then went down at night, when I returned, and was greeted by a more helpful member of staff who got the night manager for me straight away. The night manager promised me that we would have the ‘best room’ when we returned. The room was the same. Oh, and don’t believe the paper in your room referring to ‘24 hour chat’ no one will reply if it is late. When you ask about it, they are very open to tell you no one looks at it. So… 3. Value for money - as one of the more expensive hotels in the area, this hotel offers such poor value for money. There is another hotel just down the road, half the price, and is much better. 4. Amenities - so basic. The room does not come with a safe or water in the room. You are expected to go to the pub and grill for drinks, which is ironic as the onsite amenities (such as the gym) are an extra charge. The WiFi is intermittent, for a business hotel, it would be almost impossible to get business done. PLEASE save yourself money and a terrible experience."
Travelodge Solihull ★★★
"Just recently come back and the the knew design is fantastic and thank Emma and Jordan and Kevin we helpful espically been welcoming back its a pleasure"
Royal Square Hotel - NEC & Birmingham Airport ★★★
"Bed was not comfortable and the room is not suitable for couples"

Premier Inn Solihull (Hockley Heath, M42)
"First time here and not been to a Premier Inn for a while. Cheerfully greeted by Louise who checked me in quickly and efficiently. I was expecting a hot room but staff had thoughtfully set a fan going and closed the curtains so it was lovely and cool. Big room, clean and comfortable. Good size car park. Overall very pleased."
Old Hall House, NEC
"A very pleasant experience, and planning to stay again.. because the atmosphere is very peaceful and calm. The staff is also very friendly. There are kitchen facilities too."
The Regency Hotel
"The room was freshly renovated with a good mattress and bedding. Toiletries are supplied hand/face/shower wash/ gel. Nice size TV in the room. The Bar/Restaurant and breakfast were all great. Nice menu option on the meals and well cooked. The service was up to par and did what they should be doing without been too imposing. Yes a good hotel with nice staff and environment. "
Barncroft Luxury Bed & Breakfast
The White Lion Inn
"Beef Burger was very dry, hard, thin and salty. They call themselves a bistro - a burger should be made in house not frozen! Asked for Stilton on it but did not have any on it when it arrived. Chips were very hot yet somehow undercooked. Chicken Milanese came with some form of tinned spaghetti on the side. Fish and chip’s extremely greasy and lasagna was awful awful. Piled high with a load of sloppy tomato sauce on top which overwhelmed it - the whole dish was drowned in it. Yuk. Avoid eating here. Was under the impression that this was good bistro / pub grub: it is no where near good pub grub. We will go to The Boat next time. The ambience of the place was nice but that sadly does not make up for.a terrible meal. No one came to ask us how our food was and we had to ask for drink refills each time. Can’t advise enough not to risk it."

"We had lunch here on a sunny Friday afternoon & really enjoyed it. We were sitting outside, which isn't the most picturesque setting, but there's lots of tall foliage to shield the area from the road, so it was fine. The menu isn't extensive, but enough for lunch. I had the cauliflower wings with a Greek salad & really enjoyed it - reasonably priced too. The staff are very pleasant & helpful. I only went inside to use the facilities & it looked very nice. Would definitely go back. "
