We got detailed information how to do the self check in due to our late night arrival. Our room was really nicely decorated with quality decorations and everything was really nicely prepared. We even got a bottle of vine as a wellcome drink. So all and all is perfect.

Check in process requires a pin code to enter the room. However my pin code did not work so front desk attendant needed to come up with me to change the pin from his phone. After that it worked. There are no elevators in this hotel, I was on the second floor and the attendant offered to help me bring up my suitcase. The room itself is very small. Barely enough space for the bed. There is a door that opens up to the room next door. It is very thin since I could easily hear the person next door moving her bags and coughing. Two pairs of earplugs and two eye masks were provided in the room. Air conditioner worked. Unlike the listing, there was no window in this room. The towels were very dirty. One of them had dozens of dark spots on them, the other had red marks. Also, the last guest left a bottle of shampoo behind the shower curtain which was not removed. This means that cleaning is not very thorough since it would easily been seen if the shower curtain was moved. Fixtures and furniture in the room are quite basic. In the shower it looks like they did not even install a shower enclosure so the water simply sprays on the painted wall. Overall I would not stay here again but depending on the price you might be willing to live with the cleanliness and noise issues.

Room and pool was very clean. Staff were friendly and efficient when bringing out drinks out to the pool. Front desk staff answered my questions politely and effectively. In great location- you can walk to Condado area easily as well as other places to eat in Miramar area

A very average hotel, but with local prices a good value for money. Quite clean, air conditioning, comfortable bed, breakfasts are not very varied, there is not even tea, there are pancakes and other pastries, some fruits. In general, it is ok. There were some really bad reviews, that people even refused the room. We were worried about this, but it turned out to be quite ok. There is a closed parking lot on the other side of the street, you need to ask the staff to open it.

La Terraza is a nice boutique hotel in old San Juan and located great. We had a balcony suite, and it was surprisingly clean and spacious. We had to ask for towels each day, but those at the desk were very kind about getting us what we needed. The pool looked like a large infinity in the picture, but really it was a tiny wading pool...the rooftop terrace was lovely and inviting for a midnight rendezvous. We wish the bar was open or the drink machine worked, and it would've been nice. The breakfast was delightful and homemade...and there was always coffee or tea available. I would definitely stay here again for its quaintness and location. We had a fine stay.

We were put in a third storey room and there was no elevator. There was no one around to assist with carrying our luggage up the stairs. I strained my knee doing it myself. Then I had two days of having to go up and down those stairs every time I wanted to go out. Before my vacation was over, I ended up buying a cane. Not a very good way to start a vacation. The air conditioning in the restaurant was freezing cold. The location being so close to the beach was great. There were some restaurants within walking distance.

The Hotel is beautiful and for the price of a basic room, we had a view of the beautiful lagoon, with a balcony and privacy. The only thing they should consider is parking because we had to pay $20 a day :-(. Paseo Caribe offers a quiet and safe area, has security guards, and you can walk quietly around the area. You have nearby restaurants, steps from the Caribe Hilton Hotel, and steps to the Escambron area where the beach is beautiful and the day and night walk is beautiful. If you are looking to stay in this area without paying so much, this is a good option. The price they put is not that, the rate is lower. I paid $ 116 per night and my room was the Executive Room. They comply with health regulations, have staff checking the temperature, and the use of a mask.
