AAnonymous User1) Location is superb. Right smack in the ancient city and 50m from the landmark guangji gate. You can walk everywhere to do your visits and taste street food & other gourmets . You can even get on a trishaw & do a slow sightseeing of the city among the interesting streets outside the non-traffic square
2) hotel is new about 6 months old. Clean and full amenities . The bed is comfortable and good. We are not familiar with the light switches so had trouble switching to dim lights at night
3) there’s a lift and a laundry area downstairs
4) service is perfect . Our room came with breakfast. Breakfast is simple and fresh and wholesome . Well in chaozhou you probably wanna skip to eat the yummy snacks on the street. We had breakfast for 2 days. On the last day we skipped. We slept in till breakfast time was over. We had bought a rice dumpling and a rice snack the day before. We requested for them to heat up. They went beyond our expectations. Not only heat up, but gave us fresh fruits all serve properly on a tray like room service. Thank you
5) we booked a one bedroom suite on level 2. Ceilings are high. Room is airy. Soundproofing is good. Once the windows are closed. There’s minimal noise from street outside. By night 10pm it’s quiet . Morning noises only start around 9am plus from tourists foot traffic
6) Tip- as traffic are not allowed on that street. The nearest point is to get off at the Xia shui men (下水门） gate and enter the gate. From there you walk about 100-150m on flat well-tiled surfaces to the hotel
7) hope the hotel maintains their cleanliness & newness moving forward .

AAisibolasisongxianggongThis hotel boasts an excellent location, right by Paifang Street's Zhuangyuan Arch. It even has its own parking lot, though navigating into it requires some serious driving skills! It's just a short walk, a few hundred meters or about ten minutes, to Guangji Bridge or Bangyan. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and Zhenhai Tower is super close, only about 200 meters away, with a square where people usually catch taxis to various attractions. The hotel rooms are incredibly spacious and impeccably clean, and all the staff are exceptionally warm and friendly, mostly young men and women. The room amenities are very comfortable, and the bed is massive – truly the best hotel bed I've slept in throughout the Chaoshan region. While breakfast is simple, it's clean and tasty, with the freshly ground coffee being a particular highlight. The staff are all incredibly attentive and enthusiastic! Although the hotel is relatively new, there are no strange odors in the rooms, and all the facilities are continuously being improved. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Chaozhou!

The hotel is right in the heart of the old city, just a stone's throw from Paifang Street, yet tucked away from the main street's hustle and bustle, offering a wonderfully peaceful retreat.
The room design is elegant, incorporating elements of Chaozhou embroidery and arcade architecture. The furnishings are fresh and clean, smart devices are fully equipped, and the soundproofing is excellent. The soft bed and pillows perfectly support your back and waist, making you feel completely relaxed after a day of sightseeing.
If you're driving, there's absolutely no need to worry. The hotel has its own free parking lot with spacious spots that aren't crowded, making it easy even for new drivers to park. There are also charging stations, which are very convenient for electric vehicles. The breakfast ingredients are substantial; the freshly prepared kway teow soup is delicious and flavorful. Paired with local side dishes, it truly elevates the breakfast experience with authentic local flavors. Plus, there are a few Chinese and Western light meal options, so you can eat your fill and start your day perfectly. The overall experience was comfortable and it's a great place to stay for exploring the ancient city.

The hotel even offered complimentary local snacks, which was a nice touch. There are lots of electric scooters right outside for just 3 RMB per ride, making it super convenient to explore the nearby area by scanning a QR code.

NnxycxqqggI have to leave a review for the Atour Hotel (People's Square, Chaozhou) where my husband and I stayed. We've stayed at Atour hotels almost everywhere we've traveled, and it's well-known that Atour is clean, hygienic, and has comfortable bedding. Although the price is a bit higher than similar hotels, it has a loyal following. For our trip to Chaozhou Ancient City, we chose the People's Square branch. We initially booked one night through the member mini-program and then extended our stay for a second night via Trip.com. The front desk manager, upon learning that we had been kept awake all night by noise and a crying child in the adjacent room, was incredibly responsible and proactive. They immediately communicated with us, not only upgrading our room type but also gifting us a full set of Atour souvenirs. They even arranged for staff to prepare the Atour essential oil diffuser with beechwood that I usually choose when staying at their hotels. After moving to the new room, the lavender scent helped me fall asleep quickly, and the anxiety, headache, and discomfort from the previous night's insomnia were significantly relieved. Through this experience, I deeply felt that the management at Atour Hotel (People's Square, Chaozhou) genuinely values customer needs. They address issues immediately and prioritize customer satisfaction and comfort, demonstrating a truly dedicated and sincere approach. This trip to Chaozhou not only left me with wonderful memories of its beautiful scenery and delicious food but also a great appreciation and respect for the people at Atour Chaozhou, because those who do their job conscientiously are the best! 👍👍

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at this quaint hotel, perfectly situated in a central location close to all the major attractions. The elegant and relaxing atmosphere made it a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the city. The rooms were tastefully decorated with attention to detail, and we especially appreciated the modern comforts like the toilet bowl with a seat warmer — a thoughtful touch that added to our comfort.
What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff 小泰 小裕 小锦. They were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. They helped to connect us with a reliable and friendly local driver, which made getting to Shantou so much easier and in comfort. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, charm and convenience in the heart of an ancient town.

Cleanliness: Spotless! I even told the cleaning staff it was clean enough, but she clearly has incredibly high standards for herself.
Ambiance: Very pleasant, a quiet oasis tucked away in a bustling neighborhood.
Service: I was quite annoyed with the room key issue. We were staying for consecutive nights, and after a tiring evening exploring the night market, we returned to our room on the sixth floor only to find the key card wasn't working. I sent my child to the front desk to get it reactivated. She came back saying it was fixed, but it still didn't work. I then had to go down *with* my child myself to the front desk to ensure it was properly reactivated before making another trek back up. It was genuinely exhausting.
Suggestion: It's quite inconvenient to have to reactivate the room key at the front desk when extending a stay. Most hotels allow guests to simply continue using their existing key without this extra step. I hope this process can be improved, especially given how busy the elevators already are.

GGuest UserSpent three days in Chaozhou, and even though it rained every day, it didn't dampen the fun at all. This ancient city is truly amazing! Visited Guangji Bridge and explored the bustling Chaozhou; it definitely lives up to its reputation as a city of culinary delights. The hotel I chose was great – nice ambiance, very cozy, and the front desk service was excellent. Breakfast was delicious, buffet-style. While the variety wasn't huge, it was certainly sufficient. Plus, the parking lot was quite spacious!

DDaizhuofagudalaohuI fell in love with this hotel after just one stay! The front desk staff, especially the gentlemen, were so gentle and patient, and check-in was seamless. The free tea in the lobby smelled amazing, and it was so relaxing to sit and enjoy a cup. The room was clean and tidy, with all the amenities you could need. The bedding felt like something from a five-star hotel – I fell asleep instantly and woke up feeling refreshed. The sink had great water pressure, the drain worked perfectly, and the hairdryer was powerful yet quiet, making it incredibly easy to use. The rice noodle soup in the second-floor breakfast restaurant was delicious and flavorful. The washing machines and dryers on the fifth floor were a lifesaver, and the free luggage storage made my trip completely hassle-free. Even the cleaning staff in the elevator would greet me with a smile. Five stars!
