3-Star Hotels in Chaozhou

This stay exceeded all my expectations. It's incredibly close to Guangji Bridge and even offers parking. The room had a lovely, soft cream aesthetic, and the decor was definitely on point. You can tell a lot of thought went into the details; the room was bright and airy. Facilities were complete, with a scenic bathtub and a projector that showed the World Cup in super high definition. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the bedding was excellent quality. After a full day of sightseeing, a bath was incredibly relaxing. My favorite part was the rooftop terrace. The view was absolutely stunning, with rolling green hills on one side and an endless river view on the other. The ancient city is bustling, but staying here was both peaceful and convenient. Every shift of the concierge staff was incredibly attentive. Before check-in, they carefully provided travel tips and reminders, and any questions I had were answered quickly via message. They weren't intrusive but were always available if needed. The cleanliness was impeccable, making for a truly comfortable and pleasant stay.

My best friend and I spontaneously decided to visit Chaozhou, and we booked this guesthouse on the same day. It's right in the heart of the ancient city's Paifang Street, making it super convenient to get everywhere. Parking was easy too, just a few minutes' walk from a lot about 500 meters away. The guesthouse itself has excellent facilities, and everything is very tastefully done. The staff were warm and attentive, and the place was spotless. Honestly, the whole experience was even better than a five-star hotel. Highly recommend!

Overall, it was quite good. The room was relatively new and very clean. The front desk staff were super enthusiastic and even prepared a list of recommended local eateries. The Aqin Beef they suggested was really good. The hotel has plenty of parking spaces, and there are charging stations available too. However, the elevators were a real pain to wait for; they're very small and often overloaded. At night, the KTVs nearby were a bit noisy, and I'm not sure if it was because of a holiday event, but the front desk helped by calling to complain and coordinating with the community to resolve it.

First off, the location is absolutely fantastic – super convenient for getting anywhere, right across from Kaiyuan Temple. It's really in the heart of everything. The breakfast is a simple affair, but I have to give a special shout-out to the lady making the noodles. My partner and I were sharing a bowl, so she specially added extra ingredients, worried we wouldn't have enough. The mini cakes were also delicious. The hotel also offers free Chaozhou performances, which was a huge bonus! You can even enjoy some tea. We were originally planning to spend over a hundred yuan to see a show, so getting this for free was amazing. You do have to go to another venue, but it's not far at all, and you can even visit another attraction on the way. The performance included Chaozhou opera, lion dance, and Yingge dance. The young performers were incredible!

This hotel is located near Paifang Street, tucked away in a small alley. It's a renovated old house with a lot of character. When we returned from our evening stroll, the lights on the stairs lit up step by step as we ascended. Nearby is Jiadi Lane, and every alley offers a different delightful surprise. The owner is very nice; they sent us recommended itineraries and local food suggestions, and even helped us with our luggage. Right outside the alley, there are plenty of food options. We tried beef kway teow and herbal tea, both of which were excellent.

Chaozhou truly lives up to its reputation as a food paradise, with a never-ending variety of snacks from morning till night. The freshly sliced beef hotpot is tender and flavorful, the oyster omelet is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the various braised dishes, sweet soups, and 'guo' (rice flour products) offer unique flavors and great value for money. Exploring the ancient city for food is an excellent experience; Guangji Bridge is stunning at night, Paifang Street is charmingly historic, and the old residential alleys are full of local life. The locals are gentle and friendly, and prices are affordable. You can admire ancient Song dynasty architecture and enjoy authentic Chaoshan flavors to your heart's content. This trip was satisfying for both eating and sightseeing.

The room was quite spacious, and I received a complimentary upgrade along with a late check-out, which was a nice bonus. There was a minor issue with the fridge, but the staff quickly resolved it. The hotel is conveniently located close to tourist attractions; it's easy to get around on foot or by shared electric scooter. It's also very close to the Xinxin Road morning market! The front desk staff, especially employee #5, was very welcoming and helpful. I'm very satisfied!

1. Location of hotel was excellent. Nearest to 廣济门 gate. Hotel easy to find - enter Guangjimen gate and immediately turn right. You will pass by 天后宫 temple and just walk straight for another 5 mins and you will see sign post of hotel on the left side. 2. Hotel door and lobby has ”back to the past” feel and blends in well with the overall environment of Chaozhou. You can see Guangji Bridge on the roof terrace of hotel, a good spot to watch the 8pm light show though may be blocked by some trees in front if you are not particular. 3. Great welcome from host, 南姜 who was really helpful and she provided us many tips on food at Chaozhou. Our room was upgraded to a bigger one in the main hotel building at no extra cost which came as a pleasant surprise to us They have annexe buildings opposite to cater for more guests 4. Room is big in size, high ceiling and has wiindows. Single beds are comfortable with 2 pillows. Bathroom has good water pressure, antislip stone floor at shower area with laundry line. Toiletries like toothbrush, shower and hair shampoo provided 5. All restaurants and shops along Paifang Street is easy to reach by walking and usually within minutes. Use 高德地图 to navigate as Google maps dun work well here 6. When you check out, hail your Didi to pick you at 竹水门 instead as there is a waiting point. Hotel is just 5 mins walk to this gate Overall good experience in this hotel, highly recommended for it is really value for money

The hotel is right next to Xima Road, so you can get a taxi directly to the vicinity, and it's only about a 100-meter walk from there. Xima Road has tons of amazing food options, making it super convenient to grab a bite. It's also very close to popular attractions like Paifang Street, Guangji Bridge, and Kaiyuan Temple. The service was warm and attentive, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel reception staff recommended a reliable private car driver whose prices were also very reasonable.

The front desk service was incredibly warm and efficient, making check-in a breeze. The staff were thoughtful and responsible, always quick to respond to any requests, and even helped us arrange快递 (express delivery), which was a huge relief. The room was clean, and all the toiletries were complimentary. It was really considerate that we could contact the front desk 24/7 for anything we needed.
