GGuest UserThis small, beautiful hotel is tastefully decorated with Japanese art and objects. We chose Western-style beds. The room was spacious and airy. Sandals are provided for walking in the hallways; no shoes or sandals on the room’s traditional mats.
Breakfast and dinner are high cuisine, artfully presented in private dining rooms. The set dinner menu is 7 courses and way too much food, even with small individual portions of each serving (similar to a tasting menu, but highly traditional Japanese). The sashimi was the freshest I have ever eaten. The chef accommodated our dietary restriction of no meat. Shuttle vans can be arranged for pick up and drop off at train stations and local shrines. The staff’s English is limited so find a good translation app.

GGuest UserThe food was very good. Dinners were excellent, served to us in a private room. The outdoor.Onsen Was a pleasure. Travelers should be aware that this hotel is not located near the fabulous temples And shrines of Nikko. Instead, it takes two local trains to get there. The hotel has wonderful views of the river but the area is overbuilt. So pluses and minuses.
The hotel was very strict about its check out policy.

EE603018906This Japanese hotel offered spacious rooms, beautiful gardens, and an uncrowded onsen. However, there was no private shower in the room, meaning we had to use the communal bath for washing. The toilet area was very small, and the facilities felt quite dated. Breakfast was more about presentation than substance, and frankly, not very tasty. While they offer a shuttle service to the JR station, it only runs at limited times, making it quite inconvenient.

GGuest UserThe hotel environment is very good. The hygiene is clean. The room is tidy. The service is also warm and considerate. There will be a drum welcome ceremony. There is also a free water bar in the lobby. You can drink tea and enjoy the scenery. The dinner restaurant needs to pass through the suspension bridge. The dinner is also unique. The hot spring water quality is also good. There are soup flowers. It is very comfortable to soak in.

GGuest UserThe room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the view was great. The free cocktail and coffee services in the lobby were nice, as well as the free drink bar (including one beer per person) near the entrance to the hot spring. The paid massage service was also good. The meals were decent, especially the grilled beef, which simply melted in my mouth. The restaurant staff welcomed us warmly and provided friendly service.
Cons: The variety of hot springs was lacking, and the view from the hot springs was almost blocked, which was disappointing. The lockers for valuables used combination dials, and foreign guests often didn’t know how to use them, locking their room keys inside and struggling to reopen them. This was a major inconvenience. They should switch to a key-and-wristband system like other onsen hotels.
The room itself felt like an old, once-grand mansion that had seen better days. The furniture had many scratches, and the surfaces were worn and peeling. It made me think it must have been impressive in the past. Still, the room was definitely more spacious compared to other hotels.

GGuest UserMy first time visit to Japan and I was after an authentic Japanese accommodation. I booked a Japanese Style room with futon beds which were very comfortable. The room was beautiful and very clean. My booking also included breakfast and dinner which were always outstanding, beautifully prepared and unique food items. They utilized farm to table dining and the women explained each item served. They provided and encouraged one to wear Kimonos’s /tabi socks / slippers during one’s stay at, “ Nikko Iwaiyado Juyan “. Which further contributed to the authentic Japanese vibe. Indoor and outdoor hot tubs were amazing. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. The hotel is nestled within mountains and the setting serene. Hotel is family owned and they take pride in caring for their guests.

There are few rice shops around, but there are.
Dinner at the inn breakfast was very good.
I think it's a good meal to taste ”special”.
The hot spring was also good. However, be careful because the metal is darkened.
The room was good. It's a waste of two days a night.
The view of Lake Chuzenji was also the best.
Next time I want to go see the autumn leaves.

TTsusieA premium hotel & hotspring in kinugagawa onsen,this hotel also is famous all over japan, because of superb hotspring creation made by a big rock,very new & romantic interior design especially in the lobby,w/ an luxurios chandelier,the outside view is amazing,the famous fureai bridge in kinugawa & river is in the front ,very nice autumn view outside,the room is big,but don't have a telephone & dresser,the food is superb but if you want to drink alcohol,you need to reserve from the front desk during check-in.Intagramable view inside & outside,but don't go here by walking with baggage because of the high stairs in fureai bridge,there's a shuttle bus but you need to pay 300yen.Overall,you can feel the scenic views even you don't go outside,Thanks always Trip.com for very nice booking,more power & God bless always

GGuest UserLocation was ok, it's easy to access if you drive. Slightly further up above Nikko. There's beautiful lake just right in front of the hotel. Hotel is pretty new, the only downside is there is no dinner/breakfast included (we choose dinner and breakfast but somehow, they don't provide dinner/breakfast in winter season). They offered each of us 1800 yen for compensation which we could use it in their souvenir shop (you may buy drinks, snacks and bento box, there is microwave in their lobby). We don't really want bento for dinner, hence we drove about 10mins to nearby to have dinner, actually turns out not bad, good food with affordable price. If we knew dinner and breakfast was not available in the hotel, we would have booked another hotel.

MMiracle888The hotel service is very good. Excellent service There are tea and coffee drinks to drink until 22:30 and late-night meals, namely ramen, until 22:30 as well. Next time, I will definitely come back to use the service.
