A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed. As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved. The hotel’s kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration. Adding to the hotel’s allure was the inviting swimming pool, serving as a refreshing sanctuary after a day of touring the magical temples and vibrant markets of Siem Reap. During the wet season, the atmosphere around Sala Lodges was even more calming and soothing, with the soft sound of rain providing a comforting backdrop to our stay. To sum it up, our experience at Sala Lodges was nothing short of magical. Good places nearby pub street, easy access to anywhere. Room is clean, bathroom is clean. Staff is friendly and down to earth. They asked me and served me to the point that I’m like in my mind “okay you guys are doing such a good job but you’re too friendly now. I need some boundaries. 😂” the decoration and the view is so amazing filled with historical statues and some famous legendary Cambodia portraits on the wall as a reminder of their influence to the country. Overall, I love it.

I had an amazing stay. The staff was super friendly. The location, 100% . It’s literally 5 minutes to pub street, a few minutes to Tube coffee, also very close to the market where I bought souvenirs for my family 👌. The room was super clean, they allowed early check in and late check out, shout out to this team!!! 👏.

The location is great, quiet yet central, and there's a large Angkor Supermarket nearby. The service is also quite good and very welcoming. The biggest issue is that the facilities are a bit old and the cement floor makes it feel like the renovation wasn't quite complete.

Great location and service was excellent. Some rooms are facing a school next door, so there is quite some noise from pupils. Breakfast wasn't buffet per se, but selection of menu items. But one can order as much as one likes. So it's like all you can eat.

There were almost no insects by the pool. I was surprised. Very clean. Even after checking out, you can still use the pool or shower. It was really helpful for me to be able to use it. All the employees are friendly and have refreshing smiles. The owner I'm from France, so there were a lot of French users. The fried rice for breakfast was also delicious.

We were welcomed with complimentary juice and snacks upon arriving at the hotel. They had a scent reminiscent of Cambodia and were delicious. The room was cozy and comfortable. The hotel offered a variety of tours, which could be booked at the front desk by the day before, making it very convenient. We joined two tours arranged by the hotel, and both were fantastic. The price was also reasonable. Overall, we were very satisfied with both the services and the cost.

The first night I was put in a room with an air conditioner that was running but never cooled. The next room had a family of very loud people that went most of the night. The staff is friendly and attentive, but obtrusive. I was moved to another room which had excellent air conditioning and was comfortable. I have lived extensively in SE Asia and am familiar with the culture. However, always being asked,”Where are you going,” or “What are you doing?” Made me feel very uncomfortable. Simply tell guests that if they need anything or have any questions to please ask, instead of feeling interrogated each time I walked in and out of the hotel. The girl that served in the dining room had a warm smile and was very kind and she always tried to serve well and did great. The days she was off, it was an uncomfortable awkward experience just trying to have a simple breakfast. Just trying to get salt or getting condiments so that I could eat my food while it was hot, was almost impossible. As an exercise swimmer, the pool was very unclear at first. I asked if it could be cleaned and their was resistance to do so. Eventually it was cleaned and later it was much better. I booked my room for two and my girlfriend was only able to be with me part of the time. One evening when I walked into reception with her, the guy was rude and disrespectful and interrogating us both. It was a very uncomfortable and unacceptable situation. I had booked it for two weeks. Two days before I left, one evening, there was a rat running on the soffit near the ceiling. I didn’t complain about it because my stay was nearly finished and I don’t know what they would even try to do to remedy the situation. The balconies are nice and overall it was quiet and peaceful.

This was our first time in Cambodia and people here are amazing, in particular in Ladear hotel. The staff is amazing. They are very welcoming, friendly, always smiling, meeting and greeting you in lobby. We are very glad that we chose this place for our first stay. Breakfasts are tasty with good coffee and fruit. The rooms are clean with everything you need. The territory of the hotel is very cosy and hidden from noisy streets. Thank one more time to all the staff of the hotel for making our stay so pleasant and positive!

Very good hotel with excellent service, extensive breakfast and cozy swimming pool. Would be happy to return next time.
