5-Star Hotels in Yuxi

It's hard to imagine such a beautiful hotel hidden away in the small county of Yuanjiang. My trip wasn't about getting great photos; Yuanjiang's warm sunshine was the best filter. I spent a leisurely afternoon reading and having afternoon tea in the courtyard. After nightfall, I soaked away my fatigue in the warm private hot spring and then drifted off to sleep in the comfortable, clean bed. Relaxing and unwinding, that's what this trip was all about. The hotel environment is elegant, with flowers and fruit visible everywhere. The staff were very friendly and attentive. For breakfast, I had the local specialty 'juan fen' (rice noodle rolls), which tasted great. I didn't dine at the restaurant, but judging by the quality of the afternoon tea, it should be excellent as well. The only downside is that the hotel is located in a villa area and requires a shuttle bus. If you want to take a walk, some sections of the road at night are very dark, with almost no light source, which feels quite spooky. The hotel currently offers no entertainment activities and doesn't seem to provide any family-friendly services, making me wonder if they cater to that demographic at all.

On the last night after leaving Ailao Mountain, I chose to experience this hotel that is said to have the ceiling of a B&B in Ailao Mountain. Sure enough, there is no need to make this trip. The hotel has a great sense of design and every detail is in place. It is clean, refreshing and tidy, which is a perfect contrast to the messy environment outside. Parking is quite convenient, 20 meters from the hotel entrance. The dining decorations are very ceremonial, and the hotel actually has an elevator specifically for transporting luggage. Because I am afraid that the boxes will damage the walls of the stairs and other places in the house, this design is very planned. The hotel's corgi and aloof cat accompanied me to dinner and breakfast respectively. Especially corgi, who was busy accompanying me every time I went out. Looking at his fat back, I worried about his health. If he doesn't lose weight, , this corgi will have heart problems in the future. Generally speaking, if the budget is enough, this hotel is worth staying in for vacation. It also has a mini gym. There are two disadvantages. First, the road conditions in the last kilometer from the turn of the national highway are not good enough when you come to the hotel. Second, there is no elevator🛗. These two shortcomings will reduce the experience for high-end hotels.

The hotel is located next to a bunch of guesthouses, all of which are essentially the same building, differing only in their interior design. It's not very quiet; just outside the hotel is a bustling scene of cars and people. In terms of facilities, the good points are the beautiful scenery and numerous photo spots in the public areas. It's not too crowded, making for good photos. The bad points are that the family suite we booked was extremely cramped. With four suitcases spread out, there was practically no room to walk. The bathroom glass was almost completely transparent; we had to ask a staff member for clips to cover ourselves with two towels. In terms of service, the landlady was extremely aloof. While we were at the front desk getting things, it felt like we were only entitled to speak to the staff. Otherwise, she shouldn't be in the hotel's public areas at all. If she is, at least make sure it's not too congested and not be so indifferent. We are customers, not her employees. We briefly worked at the meeting room in the lobby, but the meeting room had the landlady's tea table; it felt like we were in her home, even though it was a public area. We decided to leave after a while and not disturb her. The hotel's Wi-Fi signal was extremely weak; there was no signal in the first-floor bathroom, and the rooms had virtually no signal. Reporting this was pointless; everyone will just have to use mobile data. Breakfast was extremely limited and small, with few dishes and small portions. By 9:30 am, we couldn't even get rice noodles; the toppings were mostly just fatty meat. Having stayed at many chain guesthouses, this was my first time staying at Qianli Zoudanqi. It was like paying for a high-end hotel but actually staying in a ”guesthouse”—completely not worth the 2000 yuan price tag. I won't be coming back.

A kid's paradise, they didn't want to leave! If we hadn't already booked a trip to Dali with my parents, we would have definitely stayed a few more days. Fuxian Lake's water quality feels much cleaner, and compared to other hotels in the area, Dolphin Bay offers excellent 'quality-to-price ratio.' As a Trip.com user, we also received a voucher set, which made our two-day, one-night stay packed with activities. I think a three-day, two-night stay would be more ideal to fully enjoy everything. Front desk agent #010 was great and gave us a room with a balcony since it was available, highly recommend!

This is our top choice for a family vacation with kids in Fuxian Lake. As the newest five-star hotel, its price is also the lowest among the five-star options, and the architectural style is quite distinctive. We had a room for two adults and one child, and while the room originally included two breakfasts, after a quick chat and request, they kindly provided breakfast for our child as well, which was excellent. The breakfast spread was extensive, and our little one especially loved the yogurt and pancakes. The room itself was much nicer than the pictures, with a spacious balcony. The bedding was comfortable, and the room was quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep for us and the kids. The front desk staff and concierges Yuki, Kiki, and Barry were always responsive and incredibly efficient in resolving any issues. My only suggestion is that the service at the Chinese restaurant was too slow. We ordered their signature 'crossing-the-bridge noodles,' and when we placed the order, we were told it would come with two portions of noodles, but only one arrived. The other portion was delayed significantly, even after several inquiries, and the staff seemed quite unfamiliar with the process. I also hope they can diversify their menu a bit more. We came to Fuxian Lake hoping to try local fish, but the restaurant didn't offer any. I hope they can improve on this!

The deluxe king-size bed room is large and has normal facilities. There is a tatami area by the window. The hotel will actively try to help guests with children arrange tatami rooms and ask if they need to make beds on the tatami. The service awareness is well received. The hotel has a swimming pool, and children can play in the water. Bath towels are provided next to the swimming pool, which is well received. The bathroom, shower, washbasin and bathtub are designed in three separate parts, and the faucet shower has sufficient water, which is well received. The breakfast is delicious, and the beef rice noodles are the top three delicious ones I have eaten in the hotel. There are many people on holidays, and the hotel has made arrangements in advance to move the conference table out and arrange it in the restaurant, increasing the number of seats. The quality of the food and the service awareness are both online, which is well received. Disadvantages: There was a peculiar smell in this bathroom when I stayed in it. After calling the hotel, it was cleaned again, and the hotel manager on duty came to apologize, which was well received. Later, I checked and found that the seal between the bottom of the toilet and the ground was detached, which may be the source of the peculiar smell. The low-frequency noise of the fan and air conditioner in my room was slightly louder, and it suddenly stopped after 11 o'clock in the evening, so it was relatively quiet. There are only two branded hotels in Xinping, how to choose? As someone who has stayed in both, I strongly recommend Howard Johnson. Howard Johnson meets the standard quality of a hotel and will not have too many pitfalls. The other one is selling the concept of room type, some of the room types are weird, the prices are inflated, and the details are all bad. The two are very close, and you can also stay at Howard Johnson if you want to play in the water park. It is necessary to remind that Nanen Sugar Factory is nearby, and the whole town of Jiasa has a strange smell.

Choosing Hilton was the best decision for our Fuxian Lake trip. The hotel is located by the lake, nestled at the foot of Sun Mountain, and boasts its own private beach. Between the lobby and the beach, there's a sprawling European-style garden that's perfect for photos. Initially, we booked a mountain view room, but upon arrival, we paid extra to upgrade to a lake view executive room. Being on a higher floor with a direct lake view, the scenery was absolutely unbeatable – just take a look at the first two pictures! The sunset clouds were breathtaking in the evening; we watched the entire perfect sunset from our room's balcony without even leaving. While the facilities are a bit older, the room size was adequate and fully equipped. There are both Chinese and Western restaurants, and the per-person cost was quite reasonable. After sunset, there's a fire dance performance, and there's also a paid petting zoo. You can truly enjoy a perfect vacation without even leaving the hotel.

The resort hotel in Yuanjiang is a supporting project for real estate development. It can be reached by crossing the Yuanjiang Bridge from the city. The hotel has a beautiful environment and many outdoor hot spring pools. The pools can be filled with water according to the number of people, so it is not crowded even during the Spring Festival. The wave pool opens at 4 pm, which is a favorite of children. The hotel has a good breakfast, and you can eat lunch and dinner in the hotel. The price is also acceptable, usually 28 yuan for a serving of fried rice. The hotel is very close to Datan Village, so you can go to a small village with a nice view and enjoy the fruits freely.

I originally wanted to book Hilton, but I listened to the advice that Ramada is the best hotel in the county, so I chose Ramada. It was unexpectedly good, whether it was facilities, services, food or afternoon tea, they were all great. It brought an unexpected surprise to this trip, and I was also given a free room upgrade, which made me very happy. I will stay here again next time, because no matter the aspects just mentioned or other conveniences, I think it is the first choice, and the cost performance is super high, 👍

This is our second time staying at the Wanda Vista Hotel, and also our second time in one of their villa rooms. The room was very quiet and private! It was incredibly spacious, so much so that when we checked out, we were constantly searching for our belongings. More importantly, it had a private pool and hot tub. We stayed for two days this time and didn't go anywhere else. The kids loved playing in the water, and they spent both days happily splashing around at the hotel.
