5-Star Hotels in Yangon

Not far from Chinatown, so it's easy to find food. The hotel is beautiful with nice decor and high ceilings. However, the high ceilings made me feel a bit restless when trying to sleep. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was lovely. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive. However, the Wi-Fi signal was weak in some areas, and completely absent in others.

Revisiting this hotel, I noticed the facilities have deteriorated. The hot water issue still hasn't been fixed. The central air conditioning controls have been sealed off and replaced with 'No Smoking' signs, and the new wall-mounted AC unit isn't powerful enough to cool the room properly.

If you have asthma, heart conditions, or allergies, do not stay here. I am an open-heart surgery survivor and PDA patient. Despite requesting a non-smoking room on Trip.com, Lotte Hotel Yangon forced us onto a smoking floor. They explicitly told us that because we didn't book directly, they would not accommodate us unless we paid a $20 USD per day extra charges to get a non smoking room. Exploiting a guest's medical need for clean air to extract extra money is abusive. And hotel breakfast is done at 9:30 am

The hotel's location is excellent, and it's very clean and hygienic. All the amenities and services are readily available. My colleagues and I were on a business trip and everyone was extremely satisfied. The restaurant and pool were also fantastic. We'll definitely choose this hotel again for our next business trip. Highly, highly recommended, very pleased.
