GGuest UserI had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was clean, and the location is good. But most important is the staff. All of them are so friendly and always ready to help you. PPomPom0It was a great stay. Staffs are polite and helpful. A male receptionist and a woman Housekeeping attendant at 16th floor were particularly helpful during my stay. The Pool is beautiful and I was actually amazed that they built a very deep pool for a hotel (1.9 m). My feet barely touched the pool ground, but they did have the fitness trainer who watched out for the deep pool. The room is okay, but I feel like it’s a bit small. Don’t get me wrong, they already are among the widest rooms in Yangon, yet the room I got had very tight entrance. The bathroom is separated with toilet and shower and bathtub. TV is rather small, I expected to have a more updated smart TV in this kind of hotel.
The only thing I wasn’t satisfied was Breakfast. Yes, they did have variety of selections but the tastes were blend and honestly, I didn’t like their food menus.
Overall, it was pretty decent memory to stay at Melia.

AAnonymous Guest UserThis hotel used to be a Nikko Hotel in Japan, and it was bought and renovated by Chatrium Hotels, a luxury Thai hotel chain. The plumbing in the rooms is excellent, and the Japanese food is delicious. The caramel pudding at breakfast was fantastic, just like something from a Japanese coffee shop. For lunch, they offer afternoon tea and even a shabu-shabu set for one person. There's also a convenience store inside the hotel, and a large 1STOP supermarket conveniently located near the exit by the pool. Kandawgyi Park is very affordable for foreigners with an entrance fee of just 500 kyats, and it has many restaurants suitable for lunch. The Rakhine Mont Di at the Rakhine seafood restaurant across the street is exquisite. The hotel is located in a very safe area with many embassies, and the staff are all very courteous. It's no wonder there are so many Japanese guests.

The service is consistently warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, with staff eager to share local knowledge and assist with arrangements.

Breakfast under the wide verandas, with tropical birdsong in the background, is especially memorable. In particular, I really loved the view of Shwedagon Pagoda from my room. You have an excellent location as well, and the breakfast is hearty and satisfying.

Thet Aung Linn — I really appreciated his service as a trainee, and I note his potential. I was very impressed with his fluency in Chinese, which is a great asset

They made me feel well-supported throughout my entire stay in Yangon. The staff were always kind, attentive, and ready to help whenever I had questions about transportation or places to visit. Thanks to their guidance, everything went smoothly and I felt very safe exploring the city on my own.
The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the view from the hotel was absolutely beautiful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other solo travelers looking for a comfortable and reliable place to stay in Yangon.

The water pressure in the shower was also excellent.
The location is a little far from the city center, but I think it is very reasonable.
I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity to come to Yangon.
The only downside was that it took a long time to check out.

KKSSKLocation of the property is opposite to Myanmar Plaza shopping mall. It would be great if the size gate of the property could open for guests to walk a shorter distance to the mall.
Service staffs were very friendly, especially Lenna who was very efficient during the check-out process and responded professionally to queries.
Breakfast at D’Cusine was average needs improvement. There is also a Japanese Restaurant and a Korean restaurant for dining within the property.
Swimming pool is excellent especially for family with kids.
Club at basement played good music. Take note of age group and dress code requirements.
Overall highly satisfied with the stay at this property.

00519The hostel is located in the old town, not far from the central train station. The lobby is on the first floor, and the rooms are on the second and third floors. Bed linens are changed after each guest. There's a table in the room, but the window is poorly maintained and can't be closed. A helpful young man at the front desk speaks some Chinese. The other staff only speak the local language, so communication was difficult. When I checked out, the front desk asked me to pay for the last night's stay, even though I had already paid. They said they hadn't received it, but thankfully the young man who speaks some Chinese came out and confirmed that I had paid in full.
