Amazing
GGuest UserThis is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed.
It’s formerly known as Rosewood Yangon and now reopened for 8 months. Everything is excellent, very friendly, patient and helpful staff, extraordinary service. The hotel’s history dates back to 1927 so it’s absolutely a historical building. The decoration is very exquisite, breakfast is tasty and there are many choices. The location is also good and safe, very near to Sule Plaza, General Post Office and British Embassy. On terrace you can see the river view.
I want to especially express my gratitude to Vanessa and Swar, they provided me with a lot of detailed information so I can know more about this hotel, this city and this country. Please make sure they can receive this feedback and my appreciation!
Meanwhile, the front desk Moo Thaw, Luca showed me the hospitality.
Next time I come to Yangon, I would consider choosing this hotel again, and also I will recommend it to my friends.
Hope you can keep this level 😃

Great
AAnonymous UserI had a very enjoyable stay at Meliã Yangon and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The hotel is located in a peaceful area by Inya Lake, offering beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere away from the busy downtown traffic.
The rooms are modern, spacious, and well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The large windows let in plenty of natural light, and if you get a lake-view room, the scenery is especially nice. Everything was clean and well-maintained throughout my stay.
The service was excellent, with staff who were friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and any requests were handled efficiently.
The breakfast buffet had a great variety of both local and international options, and the quality of the food was consistently good. The hotel also has great facilities, including a nice pool, a well-equipped gym, and good dining options.
Overall, Meliã Yangon offers a great balance of comfort, service, and value in a calm and scenic setting. I would happily stay here again.
JJC SYHotel Room are nice and clean, however the elevator smells like someone was smoking. I booked for 2 person, however, during breakfast, I was approached to be inform that my companion is not registered and not entitled for the breakfast, eventually, front desk settled the issue.
GGuest UserThe Strand is a find, old hotel which, for the most part, has been tastefully refurbished. Some shortcomings: the staff appear very young, inexperienced and with poor English, resulting in the wrong response to requests - half an hour to get cornflakes for breakfast; the lighting in the suite was poor, with several lamps but few overhead lights, making it impossible to read in bed; the bathroom shower had little water pressure and was difficult to use; we couldn't use the bath as there was no plug; three telephones in the suite but two not working, so the only usable phone was in the toilet cubicle - not the best spot for conversation; requests to resolve the problem went unanswered. Checking out, the management showed no interest in listening to customer feedback. Someone needs to wake up and smell the coffee..

Very Good
YYY.MMMI commend all staff for your excellent service and attention to detail. You maintain the high standards of Myanmar hospitality, and I thank you all.
In particular, I really loved the view of Shwedagon Pagoda from my room. You have an excellent location as well, and the breakfast is hearty and satisfying.
I would like to especially thank the following staff:
Thinn Zar and Harry — thank you for attending to me and accommodating my late dinner request
Thet Aung Linn — I really appreciated his service as a trainee, and I note his potential. I was very impressed with his fluency in Chinese, which is a great asset
The cleaning staff were also dedicated and always conscientious
IIsfp-Solo TravelerEverything was good👌👌👌😍💙…The only downside was that you might feel too lazy to go out or sightsee because the hotel room was very comfortable, and it was extremely hot outside😅 —- You could just stay in your room, enjoy the view, go for a swim, or have a spa day….
The breakfast buffet had a lot of options, and they even changed some of the dishes the next day. My favorite was the sauna—it was really good. I also loved the hot shower, as it didn’t turn cold even after being on for a long time😍
The massages were great, and the prices were reasonable…. The staff were very helpful and kind…. There were occasional power interruptions, but they only lasted a few seconds since the hotel’s backup power kicked in immediately…
+ Although it’s a bit far from the tourist spots, you can take a Grab—it’s affordable and the best option since it gets really hot during the day….
GGuest UserThe hotel is great, the front desk service is enthusiastic, the hotel has fitness and complete catering. The room is clean and hygienic, and the transportation is convenient. The price is also affordable, and it is the first choice for business trips.
KKSSKLocation of the property is opposite to Myanmar Plaza shopping mall. It would be great if the size gate of the property could open for guests to walk a shorter distance to the mall.
Service staffs were very friendly, especially Lenna who was very efficient during the check-out process and responded professionally to queries.
Breakfast at D’Cusine was average needs improvement. There is also a Japanese Restaurant and a Korean restaurant for dining within the property.
Swimming pool is excellent especially for family with kids.
Club at basement played good music. Take note of age group and dress code requirements.
Overall highly satisfied with the stay at this property.
GGuest UserThe food is clean, the hotel isn't far from the city center, and transportation is convenient. Plus, there's a large hospital right across the street.
AAnonymous UserThis was another stay for me. The cheapest rooms are so dark, day and night, that it hinders work, so this time I booked the next room category up, which was about 1000 yen more expensive. The room was spacious and bright, though still a little dim at night. It might be a structural issue, simply not enough lights. But upgrading was definitely the right choice. The soundproofing in the room is a bit weak; I could hear sounds from the next room, but since the room was large, it didn't bother me too much. The nearby supermarket was also convenient. The breakfast, while limited in variety, was decent. The staff are great too. Room cleaning is thorough and not skimped on. However, the room being dark and the carpet being worn out and dirty (frayed) even though it's cleaned might be a concern for some.
