Cost performance is the best hotel. The price is middle class, but the quality is only a luxury hotel. So please stay for a while. I write the improvement points afterwards, but it is a level that you don't have to hesitate to stay because it is trivial. The first is that there are few amenities. There is no cosmetic water or body cream system in particular. It is not possible because it is a recent flow, but I think it is the best if there is. The second is hot spring. The facilities and atmosphere are the best, but it is difficult to sit slowly because the water flow in the bathtub is strong. It's flowing sideways. The staff is perfect if you have another step of hospitality. If you carry out training like Hyatt, I think it's worth it even if it's 20% plus at a price.

A rental villa located a little far from the center, about 20 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station and outlet. There are 3 buildings and there is a reception in the foreground. It is located in a villa and residential area. About 10 minutes drive to the supermarket. There are two bedrooms in the living room with a very wide 々, one with a dedicated toilet and shower booth. You can sleep with a futon on the loft, so it is suitable for groups and families. There is one main bathroom and three toilets in total, so it is convenient. There is a set of cooking utensils and tableware. There is nothing but salt and pepper, so you need to buy everything. The kitchen is large and easy to use. There is a dedicated garden so you can play with children. You can stay for a long time, or you can stay overnight for a change of mood. There is no meal, so you need to make it or buy it and bring it with you.

Outstanding
TTrip805673It is easy to understand because it is close to Karuizawa Station and is located on the main street. However, it is difficult to understand the entrance of the hotel, but I wondered if I should enter from the restaurant. Only standard double rooms are available for dogs. It's pretty narrow. It feels like a stylish business hotel. The bed is comfortable. There is a large dog gauge toilet sheet and a butt wipe. The bathroom and toilet are in the same room, but they are large. I was interested in the toilet. Should I remove the toilet seat when cleaning? The amenities were in a cute cloth bag for two people, but there was no toothbrush in one cloth bag. There are 2 bottles of mineral water in the wine cellar. It's a pity that there is no pot. It would be nice to have a water server that can produce hot water without a pot. There are 2 coin laundry machines. Ice maker, juice and alcohol are sold by themselves. The restaurant is delicious, but the amount of dinner and morning is large, and the contents are covered, so it seems that you will get tired of staying for consecutive nights or using it frequently ... The taste is strong (good compatibility with alcohol) Even for people with small children I was there, but maybe my kids aren't likely to eat it. Dessert also has an adult taste. The restaurant is very cold near the entrance and on the window side and requires a coat. All the staff are kind. It is cheap considering the food and convenience for the price. Especially recommended for those who want to enjoy the whole of Karuizawa and enjoy Spanish cuisine. I want to use it again.
GGuest UserFirst thing about the hotel is that it js huge hence if you stay here , you really need to do lots of walking. I was given a room in the B wing and most of the amenities are in the other wings. The hotel is on a massive ground with East and West side also with standalone cottages. The West side from what I knew is the more economical one, but walking from the wings within the West side is already a real workout. The location of the hotel is within walking distance from the JR Karuizawa station but the hotel runs free shuttle service regularly stopping right at the lobby of West side. The room is simplistic and well maintained typical in most Japanese hotels. What I like is that the wash basin is outside the shower room. Nothing fanciful about the room but large enough to have a sofa even for the basic rooms. As mentioned walking from my side of the wing to the onsen is a good 10 mins walk and also to the self service laundry area. Breakfast is good but very expensive if you did not include it at almost 4000 yen per person. There is a Famjly Mart convenience store right in the hotel which solves most of the issues. Overall a very decent hotel in this area.
GGuest UserOne of the hotels I don't want to teach a few of them. I renovated the place where it was the original 々 store and was in the hotel, but I had a good sense and stayed in New York well, but I feel like I remind you of that time. The size is sufficient and the amenities are substantial. The Japanese room I stayed in also has floor heating, so comfortable and so reasonable hotel is the first time. Usually stay in a foreign hotel chain, but it doesn't pull at all. The staff is also very friendly and polite. I would like to come again.
GGuest UserWe stayed in a room accommodating 3 people. The sofa bed is big in principle big enough for my daughter but she found it easily falling down probably because the base is a sofa which is apparently smaller than the mattress!
The hotel room is generally clean.
We had a shabushabu and teriyaki dinner at the hotel which was relatively expensive but the quality is excellent and we found it worth a try!
More importantly, the hotel is conveniently located near the outlet where we had a happy shopping spree😊
GGuest UserThe hotel is just a 5 minute walk from Karuizawa station. Take the north exit on the bridge/walkway after coming up from Shinkansen platform, it's the left. There's a tourist info with helpful people at the end of the corridor, and an escalator next to it. Once you come out, with your back to the station, walk straight down the road, and take left at the first traffic light, near the Shell station. The hotel is opposite Family Mart. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was generous-sized with an ante-room which has a fridge, some storage cupboards and the main room is nice and big with a good-sized bed. They provide 2 bottles of water. You can take day trips to Naka Karuizawa, Shiraiito Falls among other destinations using the bus service outside the station. It's a lot easier if you have Suica card or you will need to carry many 1000 yen notes. On the way back you can you can stop off at Kyu Karuizawa and walk the streets of Old Ginza. It can also be reached by foot, takes about 25-30 minutes.
I stayed at Mampei Hotel with my mother, who loves classic hotels, because I had wanted to stay there for a long time. I have stayed at Kamapuri, Nara Hotel, Fujiya Hotel, and Tokyo Station Hotel, but Mampei Hotel was a wonderful hotel. The staff was very friendly from the time we checked in, and even though our luggage was heavy, they carried it to our room on the second floor of the Alps building with a smile. The person who carried our luggage was probably a Chinese staff member, but he spoke Japanese well, was friendly, and had a fun conversation with us. He also gave us a detailed explanation of the hotel. It is true that the rooms in the Alps building have been there since the early Showa period, so there is a slight smell, but I don't think that is due to the cleaning. There are other reviews saying the same thing, but I think we should have stayed at another hotel like Usui-kan from the beginning. The breakfast was also excellently prepared and delicious. It is a wonderful hotel full of hospitality. It was a really good memory. It will be renovated from next year, but it is a wonderful hotel that I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much.
GGuest UserFrom our recent visit to the Karuizawa Marriott Hotel, we're excited to share the essence of this secluded gem. With its sprawling suites and gourmet dining options, the hotel is a sanctuary of comfort amidst the snowy splendor of Karuizawa. The experience is further elevated by the warmth of the staff and the blissful moments spent in the onsen. 😍So Good: Impeccable Cleanliness: The hotel's dedication to a pristine environment was evident and appreciated. Heartwarming Service: The staff's attentiveness and warmth made our stay delightful. Restful Onsen: The onsen provided a haven of relaxation, enhancing our retreat. Delectable Breakfast: The diverse breakfast options were a culinary delight each morning. 🙁Not So OK: Secluded Location: Its distance from the city and public transport requires some planning. Seasonal Crowds: Winter brings the beauty of snow but also high demand and prices. 👌Just OK: 👨🦲Zen Minimalism: The room's minimalist Zen decor may not resonate with those in search of traditional luxury. Standard Amenities: The facilities met our needs without exceeding expectations. Ski Area Access: While the hotel offers a shuttle to the ski area, there is still a walk involved to reach the ski gates, which might be a consideration for some guests. 💡 Tips and Recommendation: ♨Onsen Choices: Opt for the building with its own onsen for a private dip, or brave the open-air onsen for a magical winter experience. 🚘Transport Planning: While there's a shuttle service, having private transportation is convenient. Marriott Bonvoy Benefits: Leverage Bonvoy membership for enhanced stay experiences; it's worth signing up for. 👏Conclusion: Capturing the magic of the Karuizawa Marriott Hotel in mere words is a challenge; it's an experience that truly needs to be felt personally. It's a destination that may very well become your next must-visit retreat.
PPercy_MarieCelebrating our 28th Wedding Anniversary and Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, the Curio Collection by Hilton made it a memorable occasion. From the special gift and room upgrade as a Diamond member, the cleanliness of the room and the facilities, amazing food, and to top all, the attentiveness of ALL employees to all customers. The moment, we drove up to the entrance, we were assisted in every way to make our check-in easy. We arrived late but we were able to go to the executive lounge at the last minute. Although not properly dressed, as we came from hiking, we still got the same exceptional service from the servers. There was a time when we had to leave early for a hiking trip and could not make it for breakfast, they were able to provide us with fruits and nuts for our trip. I was also having a hard time looking for a place to have my hair done since I could not speak Japanese to make the reservation. Hiromi, one of the employees, helped me look for a place to accommodate me and she helped me with the reservations. The servers in the dining area are all very attentive and are always happy to serve. The strength of the hotel is not only its facilities and location but also its people. We have never felt so much at home. Having traveled all over the world, this hotel made a huge difference in showing its customers what quality is all about. We look forward to going back again. Thank you Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, Curio Collection by Hilton.
GGuest UserI will go to ski for one night in a hurry and make a reservation immediately. Stay in one room alone and 8500 yen Hotel and facilities, but if you think it is a general business hotel, it feels about 6500 yen, but I think it is a range that is convinced if you think about the location. Overall clean and clean. I tried to ask for a buffet breakfast at the time of local check-in, but when I arrived at the site, I was surprised by ”sold out”. Even if I looked at the breakfast venue the next morning, it was a little disappointing.
