Chaiin Hotel - Dongmen

Yongkang Market Place Taipei|1.44km from Postal Museum
A hotel that has been open for less than two years is a very low-key hotel. Many people in Taipei do not know it, but it does not mean that it is hidden in a corner of the city, giving people a quiet and inconvenient feeling. On the contrary, it is the hotel closest to Yongkang Street and Lishui Street in Taipei's food street. The location is just above Exit 8 of MRT Dongmen Station. After the Xinyi Line opened last year, it has a very superior location. Why do many Taipei people do not know that it exists, because it is on the upper floor of the East Gate Post Office, and the door is on the cross street next to the post office, so most people are walking on Xinyi Road and will not pay attention to it, but it is just opposite the intersection of Xinyi Road, Lishui Street. The adjacent Yongkang Street is 100 meters away. The reception hall is on the 3rd floor and the 4-12th floors are all guest rooms. There is a lift, but because the size of the hotel is not large, it generally does not need to wait too long. Stayed in the Yaxuan room on the same day, in the independent corner of the floor, so it was very quiet. The room is small and the equipment is simple, but very clean. Although the hotel's positioning is a business travel, according to the equipment, individuals feel that it should be more suitable for 1-2 people for short-term travel, because there is no closed wardrobe and ironing equipment in the room. Although the room is small, the bed is very comfortable. The most special style is to give full play to its advantages in the store. Use a small wall to mark Yongkang Street and Lishui Street, and even many well-known shops in the entire Shida business district and briefly introduce them, so that people who come to travel outside can understand more. It is a value-added service provided for Qian Business Travel to play smartly on the ground, which is worthy of praise. Of course, with the passage of time, individual stores have closed their business, but they have not been updated in time on the map, which is a fly in the ointment. But no matter what, it has the effect of throwing bricks and jade for the guests, reminding them that there are many treasures worth discovering nearby. Overall, due to the excellent location, simplicity and tranquility are its main advantages. In another perspective, simpler devices can reduce costs and improve cost performance, and it is not a smart move. For guests who like to go to Taipei to find local food, they need a hotel with convenient transportation and clean peace. They don't want to spend on unimportant equipment and don't want to live in a 3-star hotel with more people and old. The Qian Business Travel is one of the best options.

Han She Business Hotel

Ximending Commercial Area Taipei|1.57km from Postal Museum
We stayed here for 4 nights. Before commenting on the hotel, we wanted to share some of our own experiences with those who travelled to this hotel on their own. We arrived at the airport at about 5pm and went to the Flying Dog Bus counter as suggested by the Forum members. Based on the information we found, the bus was supposed to take us to the hotel or close enough to the hotel. But instead, we were told they would not take us to the hotel door until after six o'clock. Before 6 o'clock, they will only put guests on the designated bus route and then take a taxi to the location they are going to. In short, if you arrive at the airport before 5:30, then it is recommended to take the Guoguang bus. After the next time at the terminal (Taipei Central Station), take the MRT to Ximending. Pros: -The location is good. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the nearest MRT Ximending Station. -All rooms have free Internet access. Try using the wireless connection. If you don't have a network cable yourself, you can borrow one from the front desk. - Basic supplies: hairdryer, kettle, free bottled water and tea - very clean Cons - hotel entrance hidden in a narrow alley and easy to miss. Just look for the World Express pastry shop on the main road. There are huge neon lights on the top side of the hotel, which is useful when looking for it from a distance. - Shower and bathtub are integrated. As a business hotel, we expect them to install a shower curtain, but maybe they think it will cost too much. So you can imagine the mess after each shower. -No useful maps available. Those maps that could be used only marked the subway line, and there was no address information or anything like that. - the lighting in the room was poor. It was too dark for ladies who wanted to make up. -Close to a government building, so if you want to walk around naked in the room, it is recommended to close the curtains. -The front desk clerk doesn't seem to know much about the attractions. -Breakfast coupons are issued at the front desk every morning, dining at the fast food restaurant on the main road, just at the exit of the narrow alley. There are about four or five packages to choose from, but the two must be the same (for both of us)! That is so stupid! The food is not good either.

Very clean and comfortable, relaxing, sunny, very recommended hotel in West Gate. I have lived many times, it is worth it! There are also options for rest. There are several rooms with slanted windows. Many people like to take pictures. I like it too.

Yongkang Market Place
Stayed for three consecutive nights, the waiter and valet parking service are very good. The Chinese and Western breakfast is simple and varied. Parking is limited, luckily there are spots. The water pressure in the bathroom is strong, so be careful when using it to avoid flooding the bathroom 😂 It is 400 meters away from Dongmen MRT Station, and the nearby Dongmen Market is very convenient to visit. Although it is not the most upscale hotel, it is very good to sleep, thank you for your care.

I chose the hotel due to its location. It is across the road from the museum, has a convenience store close by, plenty of food places, and a Metro station is just 200m away with the main railway station just 400m away. My room had wifi/internet and a bar fridge. I stayed here twice and was mostly satisfied. Better rooms are on the front of the building. The back rooms have no view and sound carries between them via a light well. English speaking by staff is mixed. They do have a left luggage facility if you arrive early or are departing late. Not all staff understand such requests.

Rich Garden is a well-maintained, well-run little hotel located just a few short blocks from the Ximen MRT station and the heart of Ximending. Our room came with a terrific multi-nozzle shower and a firm but comfortable bed. Breakfast was more than we could possibly eat. There’s a gym we didn’t use. Self -service laundry is free (including detergent). The staff is helpful, friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for luxe go elsewhere but if a well-located place to hang your hat is what you want you won’t go wrong at the Rich Garden.

advantage: 1. Book in advance for more than $1,400 a night for emergency, which is not expensive. If you plan to stay nearby temporarily for one night, it is ok. 2. The bathroom equipment has a disposable toilet 👍 3. Bathroom drying equipment is good👍 4. The counter service is very friendly. shortcoming: 1. The socket looseness mentioned in many reviews was actually encountered by me. Two of the three sockets in a room are loose. Do you really plan to fix it? 2. When I first entered the room, I found that the carpet was still dirty The small table next to the bed has someone else's hair very long... 3. Obviously there is a small refrigerator, but there is a sticker on the refrigerator saying that it is not recommended to freeze food. Frankly speaking, it is not possible. Passengers will inevitably need to freeze some food when they come. Besides, what do you do with the food that is not frozen in the refrigerator? Is it attractive to put charging equipment? 4. The pressed shower gel of the bathroom equipment will fall off if pressed (the equipment is old). Remark: Their big bed is made up of two beds joined together. If two people live together, it will be very uncomfortable to sleep on the small threshold in the middle overall: It’s okay for emergencies, but I really hope that we can consider the needs of passengers more. The carpet is very dirty and really needs to be cleaned.

Spacious and minimalist. Check-in was quick, room equipped with voice controls and guests get to collect childhood snacks at the hotel’s restaurant. Breakfast spread was good too, lots of choices.
