The location of the hotel is excellent, only 5 mins walk from JR station. The hotel is embraced with Japanese traditional culture, when you walk inside the entire hotel, no shoes are allowed. The check in and checkout process are done by machine. It is not enough human-touched. The size of the room is okay and the view is very good.

Very clean, with free late night snack, satisfying breakfast

Too crowded. I had high expectations after reading great reviews, but it was very crowded and waiting for elevators was painful. Room condition was not great, private onsen has very long que to use.

Good stay for 2 nights. Short walk from train station. Staff and room were very good. The pillow was poor! But absolutely adequate hotel. Great breakfast too.

Room was pretty spacious by Japanese standards. I enjoyed that they offered three private onsens that you could use at no additional cost with no reservation required. Free ice cream is available after your bath. There are hotels closer to JR Takayama Station but it’s still a reasonable walking distance.

Wow 🤩 so impressed with hotel ryokan decoration style: yukata, private&public onzen, tatami. Couldn’t ask for more. I will definitely bring my kids with me next time. Love 💕 💕

Super cozy hotel with a really comfy Japanese style room. I liked that I had a nice view of the city in the mountains. Staff was nice enough. Great amenities. Enjoyed the in-house onsen with indoor and outdoor tubs and a cold plunge. I The only negative I experienced was after a late night bath for about an hour was the sink and make up area floor was full of hair. . Long, dark hair from the blow drying was all over the floor. No one had checked the facility in the hour plus that I was there. to clean it in the hour that I was there.

Excellent hotel, but they should have the hotel name in English on the facade. It would be much easier to find the hotel.

No slippers allowed inside the building, but the floor is a bit dirty especially the elevator. Private hot spring no reservation needed, first come first serve, 30mins, no extra charge, free small drinks and ice popsicle. Free ramen during 9:30-10:30pm, which is nice after hot spring. Room is small. Bed a bit soft. Parking is 800Yen.

It's a really good stay to experience a Japanese-style hotel. The staff and onsen are nice, they even provided free ramen, ice cream and drinks! They have 3 private onsen and 2 public onsen. 👍👍 The hotel price is low during off-peak season and weekdays.

Convinient, close to station but have to queue up for private onsen.

It was weird at first to walk around the hotel without our shoes but we got use to it and find it very comfortable and homely after a while. It is near to the JR station and the bus station so the location is good. Also near to many restaurants and. shops.
