The room was abit smaller than expected, due to the location the hotel was full. Went there to check in at 4pm and the room wasn’t ready. Only got the keys at 5plus and I’ve booked the room with windows but they gave me the one without. Since it was just one night stay, didn’t want to change anymore as I was tired from my flight. In the evening while I was having my dinner in the room, the table lamp just busted in front of me and the glass almost went to my face! Was quite disappointed with the stay here. But location was great!

If you're traveling, I'd recommend this hotel, it's close to the Taoyuan International Airport. (Around 7 minutes by car) You can see planes taking off and landing through the window, but the place is sound proofed. There are convenient stores nearby, and MRT to get to the taipei main station.

Very nice and cozy environment to spend a weekend with friends from overseas, hotel greeting, check-in check-out service and room maintenance are all excellent. The Chinese Restaurant at the 2nd floor has lots of very delicious dishes with very good table service too. Thank you for your friendly service!

I’ve stayed there for a night before catching an early flight. My quarantine stay at Monarch was excellent. Since I was a frequent traveler and had stayed there a few times before, they upgraded me to an executive room for my 8-night stay. I truly enjoyed the many big windows, the great view, and the renovated room with the spacious bathroom. My room number was 1206 and I strongly recommend it. Effective 8/6/22, Monarch changed back to a regular hotel with no options for quarantine stays. My husband and I stayed here in Mid-August for 2 nights with free breakfast delivered to the room. We stayed in room 1402, which was a corner renovated room and not bad, but not nearly as spacious as the previous room. Both rooms had views facing the scenic park and that helped make our stays very satisfying.

Hotel is strangely located at a junction, and so drop off when with big luggage can be slightly tricky. ********* taxi drivers are pretty skillful though. Rooms are basic and relatively clean. Service at reception is dependent on which staff you are speaking to. On 1 evening, I think I got a trainee, who was pretty clueless. Otherwise, staff are usually quite friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast choices are limited but the lady working there is really nice. She makes a big difference! Contrary to what was written on the laundry form, Laundry must be handed in by 8am to get it back on same day. And also not written on the form, no weekend service. All these additional info are placed under the glass on desk, so if u miss it, tough luck. Bus to taipei takes 40mins, absolute must to check timings to plan your schedule to and from taipei.

The boss was very enthusiastic and upgraded the room for free. It was very clean. The earliest choice was mainly from Yuanzhi University. Later, the accommodation experience was getting better and better. I will choose him next time, and the price is very high. Although not in the city center, but the transportation is convenient, there are many snack bars around, very convenient, the hot water in the bathroom is very abundant, the water output is super large, the whole family is very satisfied.
