Worth a visit
Quirky and a little tired but most certainly worth a visit. Friendly and attentive staff, large room and great food. Overall excellent value for money & will visit again soon.

Tellement bruyant et chaud
Vieille maison aux allures charmantes.
À première vue, nous avons été charmés .
Mais rendus dans la chambre …. Chaleur intense et impossibilité d’ouvrir les fenêtres , car c’était une artère principale . Toute la nuit, surtout le soir et le matin très tôt , un vacarme infernal dans la rue. Impossible de dormir . Et en plus , chaleur intense , et on ne peut pas ouvrir les fenêtre en raison du bruit .

A surprising gem
We smiled and laughed in a nice way. Step back in time to an old fashioned pub/Inn with modern amenities. Ensuite shower room, internet etc.
Genuine High Brass bed, dated but perfectly adequate furnishings. The swing in the room is the talking point and could support my weight of about 200 lbs !! We shared with friends and are now labelled "swingers" Do not be discouraged, this place is more than ok. The food is very, very good and great value. Staff are friendly and helpfull. Would have liked an opening window for some fresh air in our room. Other than that it's fine. Local interest is Iron Bridge and lovely local scenery. Have Fun & Enjoy

Great place, shame about the rooms
Beautiful setting, stunning buildings, great staff, but the rooms are so dated they're hard to sleep in and have a random swing in which really brought the experience down. Just because its an ols building doesnlt mean you cant modernise the rooms

We visited on Friday the 8th of November for the Game Night! We'd been meaning to visit for a few years & life just kept getting in the way! When we saw this menu advertised, my husband and I agreed that this was a must!! My Gosh, it did not disappoint!! Wow - it was amazing! for starters we are complimenting the atmosphere, it was perfect - the interior is fantastic & the staff were very professional & attentive. Even the younger members of staff carried themselves with such confidence & professionalism & were a credit to whoever trained them. The food was the best we have had in a long long time. The flavors were out of this world with the best combinations to make every mouthful a taste sensation! We even had the opportunity to meet the chefs which was great to be able to pass on our thoughts directly & congratulate them on being genius's in their field. We were kindly provided with menus of what they have to offer on a Sunday & also their Christmas menu. I promise, we will return - you have definitely gained our custom.
