I stayed there for 5 nights. There was no one at the reception desk from midnight until around 9am (?), so if something happened, you had to call a designated number (they would come right away). The bathroom and toilet were separated by a shower curtain. Even if you didn't request cleaning, they left a set of towels and amenities at the entrance every day.

Close to Shinjuku Gyoen. But the front desk staff often leaves the seats empty.

The room cleaning and bed linens were clean and there was no strange smell. It was clean and there were no problems at all, but I thought it would be old, but it was older than I expected. The unit bath in particular looked dirty with yellowing from years, which made bathing a little difficult. When you check in, you choose an instant tea bag and a small paper cup, and drink from the water server on each floor. I was surprised to see that the heating was already on and the lights were on, thinking that someone must have been there. There was no notice when I checked in, and it was around midnight, so I was worried about when it had been on. I think it's ok to stop doing that from an eco-friendly perspective.

We were able to get into our room even though we arrived early at around 2pm, and the owner was very friendly, which was great. I used this hostel to attend a live show at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, and it was only about a 20-minute walk, so you just had to follow the road straight ahead, which was great, and there was also a small Aeon supermarket nearby, so it was convenient. The facilities are quite old, so to be honest I wouldn't stay here if traveling with friends, but considering how cheap it is and how close it is to Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, it's perfectly fine for a solo female guest.

There is nothing much to say about this location and price, but those who have high requirements for environmental hygiene should choose another one.

Perhaps due to a lack of staff, the front desk was often unattended. A negative point is that there are no mugs for hot drinks.

The amenities were disappointing. The shampoo and conditioner were not in bottles, so it was hard to use. The hotel staff were very friendly and nice.

The hotel front desk was difficult to communicate with. They only spoke Japanese and Spanish, and no English at all. I was given the wrong room key on the first night, and asked to move rooms on the second night. It was obviously their mistake, but their attitude towards me was extremely bad! The network of the hotel on the lower floors was very bad, and basically everyone used their own data. Choose carefully!

The heating didn't work. It was so cold. Fortunately, the blanket was thick. If it had been thin, I think I would have caught a cold. ㅠㅠ Even though the windows were all closed, it felt like the wind was coming in. There was no noise between rooms, but I could really hear the outside noise. However, I sleep pretty dark, so it wasn't particularly uncomfortable. And it was also a shame that there was no microwave. It's not good for a long-term stay, but I think it would be good for 2 nights. The male staff member at the front desk was kind and nice! It's about a 10-minute walk from the station, but it's okay for a walk. There's a park nearby, so I think the kids can play there, so the security is okay.

The boss is very friendly. The basic facilities are quite comprehensive and it is very close to Shinjuku Gyoen.

The hygiene of Japanese hotels is quite good. They are basically self-service and have high privacy. I am very satisfied

The hotel is old, but at the same time the ideal price-quality ratio for this area. The famous Golden Gai is 1.5 km away. By bus it takes about 35 minutes to Shibuya. In neighboring hotels the price is 2-3 times higher. Many thanks to the receptionist who helped to order a taxi at 4 am and woke up especially for this (it was not part of his duties). I was satisfied, despite the disadvantages. Suitable for budget travelers.

I found a cheap place to book on the day and used this accommodation. It was a bit of a walk from the nearest station, but it was the closest accommodation to my destination, so that was helpful.

It was a nice old-fashioned hotel with a nice atmosphere. I stayed here because it was just the right distance for a concert at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, and it was less than a 20-minute walk, so I was glad. The front desk staff were also very friendly and helpful. I'd like to stay here again.
