Overall, this was a great value-for-money stay in Asakusa. The hotel was clean, modern, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed, and the facilities were well maintained. The only downside was the location. It’s not particularly close to the main Asakusa subway stations, so if you’re carrying luggage or planning to use the train frequently, be prepared for a 10–15 minute walk. However, it’s still within walking distance of Senso-ji Temple and plenty of restaurants and convenience stores, making it a pleasant area to stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for travellers looking for a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

We booked a standard double room, which is about 18 meter square, I think this room size is considered big for a Tokyo hotel, which is comfortable to stay for couple. The location is great, where there are many shops open til late night. Nearest metro station is about 150m away and there are many other metro stations entry about 15 mins walking distance. Overall I’m very satisfied with the stay!

Had 3 night stays there! The staffs are really friendly and nice. but sadly the place is slightly old- bathtub and other furnitures are all yellowish and old. Not that strategic location as its 10 mins away from metro station. Suitable for travellers to explore east area of tokyo city - asakusa, akihabara

Great value for money in Tokyo! The facilities seemed quite new and it was very clean. The room and bathroom are relatively small but perfectly fine for the price. It's a bit noisy though. Well-located in a quiet side street, a few minutes' walk from the subway, convenience stores, and restaurants. The shrine is also just around the corner. There's a shared kitchen, washing machine, and dryer available. The entrance is a bit hidden, but the host sends detailed instructions before arrival. Due to the small size of the room, it gets a bit humid after showering. A dehumidifier would have been a nice addition.

The room size was decent, but the bathroom was incredibly small. This was my first time in Japan encountering a hotel without a bathtub – if you're a bit larger, you can't even turn around in there! On the first day, there was an unknown strange smell in our room, although they did move us to a different room later. Breakfast was a set menu, either Western or Japanese. While the taste was good, eating the same thing every day got quite repetitive.

had a great stay at the b Asakusa. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location for exploring Asakusa. The reception staff were friendly and spoke good English, which made check-in and any questions very easy. I also appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee available throughout the day, as well as the evening pastries and sweet treats served between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm. A lovely touch that made the stay feel extra welcoming. I would happily stay here again.

It was the best hotel ever! So clean, so cozy, we felt like home! The room and public areas are super clean! The pillows were a bit hard, but then I asked for a softer pillow and they gave it to me immediately. The location is great, close to the Asakusa metro station, and one minute walk from Sensoji temple. Hotel breakfast was exceptional: fresh fish, caviar, soba and good coffee. Also there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, if you don’t like Japanese style breakfast, there are good restaurants with western breakfast nearby, and cafe with Norwegian waffles 3 minutes away from the hotel. The free noodles they served at 21:30 in the evening were so delicious!!! Also there were 4 types of ice cream available in the evening, all very tasty. We loved the traditional clothes provided by the hotel and also the onsen! It was so good to relax after walking around the city the whole day. The staff of the hotel was super friendly, polite and nice to us. We truly felt like home!!! Thank you so much!!!!!

The room was great, clean as always. Service was good, and since there were many Chinese guests, communication was easy. It's conveniently located near Ueno Station, quiet, and handy for getting to the airport and tourist spots. There are plenty of shopping malls nearby with reasonable prices. Ueno Zoo, the park, and art museums are all very accessible.

I love jop inn due to its location, amenities and staff. Even if they dont clean the room everyday, its omay coz we're not messy people. As long as the towels are changed everyday coz they get wet. I super love the location coz it so near Sensoji Temple where we had the debut photoshoot of my daughter 😉

Okachimachi Urban Hotel

Facilities: The amenities in Japanese business hotel rooms are generally quite similar. This room included a mini-fridge and disposable slippers. There's a washing machine on the first floor. However, there were a bit too few charging outlets, and bottled water was not provided. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was good; the shower curtain was spotless and stain-free, which I appreciated. Environment: It's about a 5-7 minute walk from Okachimachi Station. There's a Uniqlo right by the station, and a supermarket on the basement level. Service: The front desk service was excellent.

Walking distance to Senso-Ji and conveniently located across one metro exit and has access to two more lines within a few minutes of walking distance. Close to convenience stores and one mini supermarket. Although there were fewer places to eat around the hotel compared to other busier locations we’ve stayed at, we enjoy the calmer feeling of the neighborhood and found a good IZAKAYA nearby that we visited for three consecutive nights. The only negative experience we had was that we were given a room right next to the elevator and could hear people talking on the way to the elevator and while waiting at the elevator. We also heard cleaning staff communicating to one another as they placed all their cleaning supplies and laundry in the elevator lobby when they started cleaning. The noises woke us up.

Cleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob). Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn. They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park. However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay: 1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around. 2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.

Depends on what you seek. Location: if looking for quiet neighbourhood, this was great if distance wise from metro station, still have to cross the bridge, the closest one I use was Kuramae station. have to walk a bit, if too tired, could feel too far.  Cleanliness: the room itself was quite dusty, although provided with vaccuum cleaner etc but the rest was still okay the amenities: Great, If I’m not mistaken the room picture taken in the app feels a bit different, in actual, it’s better which was great. but, i questioned why all the plates, glasses, cup not all in good condition, some already damaged, not looking clean enough  and not feeling safe to use, and i personally don’t lile when all this using plastic materials, perhaps to prevent property damage, but this was too much for guest using these. lacking places to hang out laundry (maybe for single / couple traveller okay) but for family, not enough space.. in overall, the building itself is still okay. just depends what your need.

The location is a bit far from Uguisu-dani subway station. I had a slight issue during check-in, which Ctrip helped me resolve by calling them. I stayed for five nights, and towels were only provided upon arrival, but I didn't bother asking the hotel for more. The price was good.

The location is excellent, very close to Keisei Ueno, JR Ueno Station, and the subway. Check-in is on the 20th floor, offering a nice view, including the Tokyo Tower. For multiple-night stays, cleaning is done every few days, but one day they forgot until I reminded them.

I'd like to point out the apartment's excellent location: the building is right next to the metro exit. The view from the balcony is excellent. The neighborhood is very quiet, with plenty of convenience stores nearby, a 10-minute walk to the SkyTower shopping center, and plenty of nice restaurants nearby. It's interesting that when you step outside, it's very quiet, but in the apartment with the open balcony, you can hear a lot of traffic noise. There was enough space for three of us, but the fold-out sofa isn't very comfortable. We used a mattress, an extra blanket, and a blanket underneath ourselves to soften it, but overall, we didn't have any problems, such as back pain. The apartment includes an iron, a microwave, and other kitchen appliances. There's a washing machine, but it wasn't plugged in, so we didn't bother fixing it ourselves. There was a hair dryer, but it was very weak and dusty. When you turn it on, it starts to smell burnt, so we didn't use it. The apartment itself is in good condition, but it feels like it could quickly become too old. Aside from the hair dryer, there was a dirty sheet in the linen set. We informed the owner, who apologized and offered to send a new set, but we only found another sheet. We also mentioned that there would be three of us staying, but the ”sofa” wasn't made, so we had to make it ourselves.

Facilities: basically complete Hygiene: OK Environment: Indoor is OK. The outside is a bit unexpected and I dare not recognize it. Service: Yes The location is very good. It is very convenient for transportation, eating and shopping. There is no elevator on the 4th floor, so you need to bear the weight of your luggage.

Dirty, they only changed the bed linen and vacuumed the visible parts of the carpet. The corners were full of dirt, dust, and trash. The extra mattress was on the floor. The room smelled terrible, and the smell wouldn't air out. The location is convenient, but it's only good for a quick overnight stay and leaving early. Communication is only through email, and the reception desk is always empty. The towels were old; although they had been washed, the stains wouldn't come out.
