We are just back from a delightful stay at The Madama in Venice. There are just just nine-rooms and it felt more like staying at a posh friend's house than a hotel. It was well away from the crowds that seem to be everywhere else in the city... I can see why it's named 'garden retreat'. Our room overlooked two canals, and whenever we were there, we just sat watching the world go by, just beneath us. Lorenzo, the manager was always available to suggest local restaurants and arrange the transport...it's been 30 years since we were last in Venice, we'll not wait that long until we are back at The Madama again.

Lovely boutique property out of the hustle bustle of the tourist area of Venice. One of a kind green garden sitting area unlike anywhere else in Venice. My husband and I loved walking everywhere from this conveniently located hotel. The host is extremely accommodating and we loved the beautiful views during our stay.

uma experiência incrível desde a chegada até o check-out. proprietários e staff atenciosos, decoração elegante, quartos amplos e cheirosos diariamente; café da manhã maravilhoso servido debaixo das árvores no jardim, local silencioso longe das multidões de turistas e de fácil acesso aos pontos turísticos, amenities da Diptyque e um upgrade que nos foi concedido para um espaço maior do que havíamos reservado. inesquecível!!! altamente recomendado para os apreciadores do conceito de hotel boutique.

Das Hotel ist ein eine ruhige Oase im lebendigen Venedig. Das Zimmer war wunderschön und geschmackvoll modern eingerichtet, das Bad in Marmor absolut perfekt (Diptyque Produkte), Bademäntel, Fön, flauschige Badetücher! Der kleine Garten, in dem das Frühstück am Platz serviert wird - vom Servierwagen mit hervorragender Auswahl an Früchten, Müsli, Gebäck, und einfach allem, was man sich wünscht. Der Service ist herzlich und das ganze Ambiente familär und doch sehr professionell. Auf die Restaurant-Tipps kann man sich blind verlassen. Die Lage ist perfekt für Ausflüge zu den Biennalen, San Marco, Murano etc.

Posto meraviglioso nel cuore di Venezia. Purtroppo inaccessibile per mancata educazione da parte dello staff nell’accettare visite da possibili clienti per visionare la location. Una maleducazione al citofono che contrasta con l’incantevole corner.

Madama Garden Retreat is exactly what it says. Hidden in plain site, we rang the entry bell and the metal gate swung open to a lovely sanctuary in the middle of Venice. A beautiful garden with a tented deck where we ate breakfast and sipped wine watching the traffic on the canal. Our room was a suite with windows opening to the canal Misericordia (the location is excellent). The décor was beautiful, the beds comfortable; the property is amazing. The very best part of Madama Garden Retreat is Mara, the ever present owner and Lorenzo. The hospitality is warm and wonderful. We got great recommendations for shopping and restaurants "We send you to where Venetians go for a great meal" and they did not disappoint. Don't stay anywhere else in Venice. We can't wait to come back. Grazze Mara, Lorenzo!
